This painting was originally meant to have balloons shaped as items which spark memories, that didn’t happen. The balloons are pumping themselves up from the protagonists hand, releasing themselves and passing through the glass.. The glass represents the gateway to the past and how so many memories are let go, without spite and they all end up pleasant to look at from afar.
The artwork ended up going to a woman who saw something entirely different here. She had a dream that her son who had passed visited her in a space just like this. For her it’s a reminder her son is still around.
This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.
