I began this painting when I challenged myself to create 11 paintings in one week. This one would have been a challenge on it’s own since paintings with faces always take longer, I didn’t finish it in that week. I originally had the idea to paint just a crowd looking toward the front of the painting, somewhat confronting then decided to include buildings and ended up with just a few faces (Caravaggio faces, since I had to pick a face) on mounds looking at the viewer. I named it ‘Goals Staring Back at Me’ as if I’ve let go of a few of them temporarily and they’re waiting, staring back at me.
This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.
