Cloud Floss

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

3h 22m

This idea came to mind after creating my artwork ‘Road Trip’ and decided instead of having one low lying clouds I wanted many. As the artwork unfolded it became what it is now. I really enjoy this artwork as it really shows off the kind of surrealism I want to share.

Criticising Astrology

$550.00

53 x 3cm
x 40.5cm

7h 54m

A bicycle can be self-stable without gyroscopic or caster effects’ – A study by J. D. G. Kooijman, J. P. Meijaard, Jim M. Papadopoulos, Andy Ruina4 & A. L. Schwab. Astrology attracts the kind of “skeptics” who show no interest in actually speaking to an astrologer or even looking into anything past a sun signs article in a pop magazine (any astrologer will elaborate on the misconception here). The astrological critics are sharp with their words, quick to label anyone studying it an idiot. To those critics, please let me know how a bicycle balances itself. We both see an event happening and not being able to explain the physics doesn’t discount the result. After an astronomer on YouTube went to the effort to create a purely hate based video on astrology I came to wonder why I’d be watching any of their other videos. The comments, also aggressive and no one looked into topic that they were arguing is fake, often bringing up Uranus and Pluto... Which an astrologer can very clearly explain. So I painted a person statue with flowing water over them, in astrology water is relation to emotions, it’s over their head. A bicycle through the head, a somewhat direct way of showing you’re being thick about this. I placed Uranus in the sky next to the head as they argue the entire validity of the topic based on Uranus being discovered in 1781, barbed wire wheels as electricity was discovered in 1752, something Uranus rules. From here I came up with an idea about the pyramid generators which will be another painting.

The moon crashed in the water as the moon also represents your emotions. The statue wrapped in papers in a way the statue can’t read it but uses it as a shield. Spectators hang around in the background This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Times Passing You By

$250.00

40 x 3cm
x 26cm

3h 41m

This is the final idea from my 80 artworks challenge and I aimed to show how people let time pass them by so easily. Definitely not as well executed as other artworks and an idea I’ll definitely come back to. I began the challenge as I saw a planet alignment coming up and needed to make sure I have my artworks set so whatever comes my way won’t affect the art machine. A daunting idea, 80 artworks in 77 days (and I went over by 2 days). Yet every time I thought about it I looked back at my other goals that year and reflected on how many activities I’ve completed by just showing up. Showing up is easy, then staying is easy.

So many people let time pass them by and it could have been very easy for me to just say “tomorrow” over and over again for the 11 weeks and missed my window. I’ve done it before, and it’s not a good feeling looking back and seeing you wasted months on end putting off a one hour task. So this is the artwork, a thinking statue and their head flying off with the birds as if they’re time. But this guy isn’t going anywhere, he’s just kidding himself. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Lollicars

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

2h 44m

Turning a photo into jelly is a challenge, it’s something I wanted to try now that I’ve polished off a few angles of my beetle photos. I don’t think I totally mastered it, although very good first try. They’re more like lollipops instead of jelly.

Tasting Sound Hearing Flavour

$400.00

46 x 3cm
x 30cm

6h 3m

This is another artwork about synesthesia, although instead of a particular taste I wanted to play on the crossing of senses visually. Someone in passing mentioned “tasting shapes” as a joke about how they were confused about something. It made me think about how I do taste shapes, I very much describe flavour in terms of shapes and colour, although an entirely useless way to communicate the description of a flavour even to other people who imagine things with synesthesia. However a very useful way to start an interesting conversation.

So here’s my artwork hearing flavour, an ear travelling across a pear doused in pink passing by a nose smelling a green floating wave. Bouncing between its own walls (your own mind) and half a statue thinking on one side while the head drips down the other.

The entire scene, your mind thinking about a flavour or sound. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Road Trip

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

3h 21m

Recently before creating this artwork (one of my 80), I’d turned my giraffe into zebra print and cleaned up the beetle photos. I imagined something slightly different (less busy) when thinking I wanted to be one of those people who’d created an artwork with a zoo animal in a car. However after putting it together I found it a bit small and needed to give the two a scene. From there I decided to pull up the paint, add a fence made of bicycles the add the flying cars from another recent artwork (which hasn’t been shared yet).

Elespring

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

1h 38m

This is a digital artwork I created during my 80 artworks and as I leave the home I have my ‘Hungry Giraffe’ artwork on the door which doesn’t include springs but each of these reminds me of the other. I also wanted to use the elephant more since I’d recently cleaned up the photo to a better level. I also re-created the spring so that it’s straight and could look more like legs. This is where those ideas ended up.

Grabbing Art Supplies

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

6h 46m

This is a digital artwork I decided to create during my 80 artworks and wanted to turn my other photographs into statues, following the lead of an actual statue photograph I took years ago in Vienna (I think) and also cut out my other car photos so they’re useable for future artworks as well. After starting I realised it wont sit as I imagined since I still placed the statues alongside the road but didn’t have suitable material to create a sidewalk. In the end I like how it’s super crammed and decided to name it accordingly.

The Rabbit Hole

$180.00

29.5 x 3cm
x 20cm

4h 0m

This is an artwork I created in the final week of my 80 artworks and during the whole event I’d turned off my notifications, the radio and pretty much any outside world distractions. This was an enjoyable activity and when it ended I told people “I’ve resurfaced from the rabbit hole”. I had no clue what’s been going on in the real world. At the end when I made this I had a feeling I’d been living in a different world to everyone else. So here’s the rabbit hole, the rabbits never end. Had my resources continued I’d still be making a high velocity of art. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Mosaic Door

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

1h 42m

This is one of the 80 artworks and before creating it I hunted down some ideas, I didn’t find any however an entirely unrelated video came up on my YouTube and the background of this lecture was a projection of a mosaic window. I thought it looked great and decided to tackle creating one in a digital artwork. It took a while to achieve this look, and a tricky venture for Photoshop! The doughnuts link from two other artworks, ‘Doughnut Town’ and ‘Ice Cream Town’.

Ice Cream Lineup

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

2h 48m

This is another artwork from my October Challenge and a follow up idea from my ‘Ice Cream Town’, a mix of my ‘Chocolate Ice-car’ and ‘Snake Flavour Please’ where I decided I needed to create different ice cream flavours as I like the idea of seeing an ice cream although having the actual ice cream another object, unexpected and confusing.

Watching Talent

$600.00

50 x 2.5cm
x 50cm

8h 31m

This is an artwork I decided to paint when noticing how much I appreciate watching 80’s rock music videos, then watch the talented people become so successful so young. So this is how I feel when seeing them, like a skeleton still waiting on something I do to create the same success. I painted the moon on the skeletons side stuck in a bubble, similar to a chain of thoughts from my digital artworks where I began with a cross walking sign which turned into feet in a bubble. The carpet turns into blood and the (for anyone outside my train of thought) the rectangular prisms with waves on them is a fence separating the two worlds.. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Cloud Vomit

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

1h 39m

This is an artwork I created early on in my October Challenge and the idea popped into mind right after finishing a recent digital artwork, ‘How Rainbows Are Made’, I wanted to continue the idea of the cloud spitting out colours yet entirely focus on that as the artwork on its own.

Eating Crepes

$300.00

30.5 x 3cm
x 30.5cm

7h 9m

This artwork is a slight continuation from last week and a mix of another artwork I created a while back which I enjoy, ‘Midnight Snack’. There’s something I haven’t been able to recreate about that artwork yet so I gave it another go with this artwork (not quite there yet). I’m really into my crepes, I think I’ve got them down. Each day at brunch I have a lovely snack with crepes admiring how the plants have grown over the past day. I have them with a coffee, ham and creamed honey and used to have a swarm of bees visit (hoping to staunch some honey). This artwork in my take on that part of my day, but the feeling of it, not the look. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Idiot Nigger Genius

$500.00

45.5 x 3cm
x 30.5cm

5h 24m

Before you read the description, and since you’re likely reading this online and already seen the title I want you to take part in this artwork and take a moment to decypher the artwork and interpret to make sense in your own way before reading on. I hope you joined in! I really bothers me how we live in such a PC world where all the words ever are being transformed into offensive words, yet people find substitutes to describe what they’re saying anyway. A word cannot be offensive since a word has no intention, it’s just a word. Although the people who continually and collectively decide to use any word in a derogatory manner change it’s definition into something gross. I could write an endless list of words that aren’t socially acceptable until you feel like you’re a woman in the 50’s however I’ll focus on these three. Recently I felt frustrated that the postie couldn’t find the damn front door to deliver my parcels so as I complained I said “no man, he’s just an idiot you need to train him xyz” the person stopped to debate my use of language and it came as a surprise to me I can’t use “idiot” to describe this persons actions. “Idiot” is a person with an IQ below 80, can’t find the door? My statement was factual and not malicious. I also found myself looking up the real definition of autism during my frustration of people confusing geniuses with autism and saw that when autism was first defined they used the words “idiot/ idiot savant” without censoring it, this alongside other books such as ‘Genius, The Natural History of Creativity’ openly use the word “idiot” as factual (and so on). The final word, “genius” has been used incorrectly in so many examples it seems as if no one really knows what a genius is and often label prodigies and people with autism as geniuses. Dangerous territory in my opinion, start labelling a prodigy as a genius and they’ll lose motivation by the time they grow and their peers catch up (therefore not a real genius). Start labelling autistic people who are also prodigies and you see this gross fad of neurotypical people claiming they’re autistic to feel special, I’m disgusted by that behaviour. I didn’t live in the early 1900’s however looking back at artworks from the 1700’s I see paintings of servants and slaves in respectable ways, I genuinely don’t believe that the word “nigger” has always been an insult, only the way that people have chosen to use it in an offensive manner dirties up the word to now stand as one of the most offensive words out there. However I’m neither white or black and opt out from great debate of who can use the word without offence. Artworks in my opinion are an exception, Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’ and Quentin Trarantino’s ‘Django’ as popular examples. Now that you see my point of view here’s the artwork and your interpretation. I painted three random items at my disposal (video on YT of the making) and they have no relation to the title, however accidentally they can relate; the cactus has no brain (idiot) the chocolate is brown (nigger) and the paint could be of a genius. That’s what people I’ve shown in real life also come to see. However that’s just what you did with your own perception. You labelled them and you decided their meanings on your own. These are just objects and being puppeteered above showing a finger slightly out of view and the shirt buttons in the background. Enjoy your perspective on these innocent words and objects! This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Watching the Boats Sail Past

$500.00

60 x 3cm
x 33cm

3h 57m

I created this artwork during an art challenge of mine (this week involved ten artworks) and as I looked through a book of artworks I own I saw a seascape with boats and appreciated how serene the artwork looked and wanted one of my own. Naturally, doing a surreal twist. Prior to this in my previous weeks challenge (also ten artworks) I used ones of my doughnuts in a digital artwork and then glanced over at a boat and decided the two need to merge. I’m glad I made a painting of this before a digital piece as these turned out exactly as I aimed. I also wanted to reference an older painting I created, ‘Unexpected’ as I loved painting that artwork. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Vivace

$500.00

45.5 x 3cm
x 46cm

18h 24m

The idea for this artwork came to mind while listening to a fast paced song, after doing a minute of research it’s a 132bpm which makes the beat a vivace. This is what I saw when listening to the song so I decided to paint the synesthesia of the moment, I then added a zap and a sheer screen like it’s the song entering your brain. The artwork ended up being a 20 hour artwork which is pretty long for me, although it was also made alongside four others that week. Turned out fine for the environment! This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Giraffes Channelling Spencer

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 58m

This is a digital artwork I’d thought about making for a while. When I cut out the giraffes spots a few years back for another artwork I found the giraffe looked naked, like a human. I return to this giraffe for other artworks and when I change the spots into geometric looking spots I think the same. This artwork came to be while making another and just decided to split the file into two and pivot each artwork from that point. I ended up createing a crowd of naked giraffes as a nod to Spencer Tunick. I also worked on teach giraffe looking lik an individual.

Zouflage

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

1h 35m

This is a digital artwork I created based on two other previous artworks. The mini series began with creating a bird covered in the background pattern, which then evolved into and elephant and the bird. Then I had one more animal I can use, a giraffe. Only this time reshuffling the arrangement.

PC Pond

$400.00

30 x 3cm
x 30cm

6h 21m

While painting a previous painting Michael Jackson came on the radio and with the general “politically correct” vibe of western societies right now an idea came to mind to paint a spiky lake that would feel very uncomfortable to swim in. I don't believe it's politically correct to go around correcting people who've been brought up in a way that their language isn't used in an offensive manner. I painted the lake as it is because it feels like people are silenced very quickly, the swim is too spiky. I also painted the fence around it because there's no standing up for yourself with these people and I attached moons to the fence because in astrology the moon represents emotions. Since being politically correct is a great outlet to project your own grievances on others. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Vases for Decor Purposes

$550.00

46 x 3cm
x 30cm

9h 21m

A while back I painted an illusion so the viewer sees a vase instead of an actual vase, the artwork was purely curiosity and learning about illusions. The artwork was then later featured in a category “Vases” and they portrayed it as a décor piece. I'm against art for décor purposes so being promoted as decor bothers me. Fast forward I'd been looking at another vase painting although didn't realise I were looking at vases and thought they were oranges as vases, I decided to take that misunderstanding and create an artwork out of it. Here's my vases for décor purposes, although since I have the motivation of my illusion painting behind this then it isn't décor anymore, it's a statement. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Comfort in Prejudice

$550.00

40 x 3cm
x 50cm

7h 56m

This is a painting I started painting with an idea sparked from a painting I recently created, ‘Flock Party’, while painting this one I decided that the spots on the bird will be hidden by squares on the bag it's stuck in. I originally had the idea to paint a somewhat sequel to 'Corporate' with a plain bag and then decided to slightly pivot. I often keep my opinions to myself (during the moment) when I notice someones humouring me or so blinded by prejudice and told I can't do something, so I painted the bird as pink spots and the viewer, not you the viewer, but the viewer within the painting decides that the pink spots don't align with their prejudice and they decide to see yellow squares. So this bird is trapped in a bag of yellow squares. I think that people use prejudice as a form of comfort, despite hindering others. Your pink spots don't align with their narrative so now you have to get out of the bag before continuing your flight. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Goals Staring Back at Me

$500.00

44.5 x 3cm
x 37.5cm

14h 19m

I began this painting when I challenged myself to create 11 paintings in one week. This one would have been a challenge on it's own since paintings with faces always take longer, I didn't finish it in that week. I originally had the idea to paint just a crowd looking toward the front of the painting, somewhat confronting then decided to include buildings and ended up with just a few faces (Caravaggio faces, since I had to pick a face) on mounds looking at the viewer. I named it 'Goals Staring Back at Me' as if I've let go of a few of them temporarily and they're waiting, staring back at me. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Self Portrait at 29

$950.00

90 x 1.7cm
x 60.5cm

20h 41m

I decided to paint a self portrait since I happen to be whipping them out every few years, this time I didn't paint it as a mid-shot front on artwork but a reflection of how I've spent my 20's. Painting until I drop at the easel. Painting the look of gold (without using gold) is a challenge I've been working on lately and my home is gold themed so I tackled that in this painting as well, turning the furniture gold. I still don't think I've figured it out so I guess it's also a reflection of how much progress I'd made with gold by this age. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Exiting Vanessas World

$800.00

40 x 3cm
x 39.5cm

7h 35m

I recently had to update my website and all my digital artworks into metal prints which meant hours of looking at my artworks then when moving onto another activity it felt like I'd left another world so I painted the feeling. The wall print is a background of a self portrait I created many years ago and I have a theme of pears so I kept them in, I also low-key painted the door missing. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Waiting for the Rain to End (Digital)

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

3h 43m

This is a digital artwork I created with the idea in mind to re-use the hoops I'd used for my previous artwork and wanted to have half pears floating on them. I originally intended to do a day-time artwork although it turned out night time and I figured I shouldn't change it. Toward the end of creating it I decided this is the digital version of a painting I'd created.

Honey Jar

$300.00

30 x 3cm
x 30cm

6h 27m

Everyday I eat pancakes and in general pretty much drink honey. One day the light hit the honey jar and decided to paint it. Since I pretty much drink it I decided to paint the honey in a fluid manner taking over the fruit around it. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Hungry Giraffe

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

3h 12m

This is a digital artwork I created out of some Blender rendering and Photoshopped photo's I've taken. If you've seen older artworks you can see the doughnuts are actually stacked on it's spots.

International Date Line

$170.00

29 x 3cm
x 19.5cm

3h 32m

I watch videos on geography sometimes and came across one in detail on the international date line... Long story short, I start questioning the theory of time and the international date line. Without this line that's entirely made up then our rules for time don't work, to me it seems purely for convinience and the idea of time needs some more thinking over. I decided to paint how I felt about this idea of time, my head twisting between lands and trying to bridge the gaps that don't match up for me. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Cello

$550.00

40.5 x 3cm
x 40.5cm

5h 43m

This is another painting form the eleven that I worked on in one week and I began with the idea of a guitar growing plants, I liked this idea since plants grow better when surrounded by music and the impact of music on it's surrounding in general. The painting also has the bow saluting back to the cello, and I couldn't decide whether the blue shape is a window or a reflection of a window from outside of the left of the painting, there's a light source from both. While painting the painting I asked Insta what they thought the painting would turn out to be and my pen pal replied with a cello. After looking up the difference I decided that cello's are more interesting to paint and should probably go with it. This painting has sparked another idea for a future painting. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Definitely

$300.00

39 x 3cm
x 20cm

3h 49m

This is a painting I painted during my week of painting eleven paintings and decided I needed to paint a giraffe that blends in with the sky and stands on bubbles, somewhat uncertain mimicking the way people tend to be much more flakey these days. When plans are “definitely” on, it's this type of definitely, like a giraffe standing on bubbles as a solid ground type of definitely. If you watch the screen recording of it being made or my reel on instagram you'll see I changed my mind a bit about the shape of the giraffe and whether it's head will be in the painting. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Flat Earth

$85.00

60 x 0.1cm
x 40cm

0h 0m

This is a print of a digital edit I created for instagram in 2019. It's a concept which has been done, although hasn't been done with the colour splash!

Piano and Can in Desert

$20.00

20 x 0.1cm
x 20cm

1h 2m

This is a digital artwork I created from a few photo's I took and popped into Photoshop.

Elephant

$85.00

60 x 0.1cm
x 40cm

0h 0m

This is a print of a photoshop edit I created in 2019. It's an elephant, on blocks which reflect off the upside-down earth/ desert with neon lights and clouds around.

Couch Desert Photo Print

$46.00

25 x 0.1cm
x 16cm

1h 5m

This is a print of a photoshop edit I created in 2019. It's a cat I fostered, flying while carrying the blue leather off the couch which has turned to stone. The kitten has laser eyes and the trees are burning.

All the Shit I Need

$400.00

51 x 1.5cm
x 28cm

4h 32m

This year my new years resolution is to save as many things from council cleanup as I throw out, to make my waste for the year zero (excluding recycling of any type). This then lead to me cleaning out my home of anything I'm saving for “one day”, it seems like so many people fill their homes with things they save for “I'll need it one day”. I could fill my car over many times with the amount of things I've been saving for “one day”. During my week of painting eleven paintings I decided that this were a topic I wanted to paint about. So I painted household items under a sheet, hidden away, over an oddly uneven ground, the landfill. Commenting on consumerism. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Put the Washing Out to Dry

$300.00

35.5 x 1.7cm
x 27cm

4h 46m

This is a painting I created with a similar idea in mind to a digital artwork I created after the Christchurch shooting where the countries blood stain a top. I'd included all the countries in the digital artwork although this time wanted to emphasise the diversity of the countries. I'm often watching geography and history videos and a student recently asked me if the war with Ukraine would start WWIII. Without knowing the history of all the wars of the world it would seem that way but when you look up the history of each country there's usually a war included. So I painted it as if this is the load of washing you've done and you've hung it out to dry, to stay that way. I also tried to include an aspect I included in an older painting, 'The Essence of Freedom' where the flowers represents birds enjoying freedom. This time the wing is also hung out to dry. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

No Time

$500.00

51 x 1.5cm
x 32.5cm

4h 40m

This painting is one of the eleven/twelve that I tried painting in a week, most of them made the deadline and this is the first one I'm showing off from that adventure. Since I have no grasp on time this is another painting I used to express my feelings on time. On my list I originally planned to paint the painting with the clock hands outward like a books pages flipping through the wind, instead as I created it I decided to have them floating throughout the artwork, each hand is a person since we all interpret time at a difference pace (literally, that's a fact) some of the handles are bogged down by sheets of water that I like to paint. I's started painting an egg although when I came back to the painting after my other eleven I couldn't remember why so I ended up turning it into a silhouette of me from the back. It's a coincidence that XII sits above that (my birthday date). I chose to paint the numbers as birds since birds are also hard to get a grip on. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Soaring, Swimming and Sleeping

$150.00

15 x 3cm
x 15cm

2h 4m

This is a painting that I created in order to challenge myself to use a smaller canvas, I'm not an artist who uses small centrepieces (or none) so this certainly proved to be a challenge. I also used leftover canvas from my last roll which is more coarse which doesn't let me work on detail as smoothly as I'd like so when I finished the artwork I feel like it turned out pretty well considering the situation I put myself in! I painted a bird and wanted to carry on the style from a painting a few paintings ago 'Midnight Snack' with solid waves and tiny bubbles/ balloons. This time I couldn't decide whether the bird would be swimming, flying or dreaming. I figure you're doing it all in a dream anyway so it's doing it all in a dreamlike artwork. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Waiting for the Rain to End

$550.00

30 x 3cm
x 30cm

6h 31m

This is a painting I created with the idea to paint the feeling of waiting for the rain to end. I also wanted to create something well executed like a painting I'd made a couple weeks earlier 'Midnight Snack'. By the end of the painting I'd started reading a book on Magritte and found his work a tad sloppy so I felt compelled to work harder on making sure the painting had been polished off. Pears (and cactuses) feature as metaphors for people in my paintings and these pairs wait under a sheet of water acting as a jail by the growing stems and birds emerge from the water since they just live in the water when it rains. Giraffe on a Stroll

$450.00

25.5 x 3cm
x 51cm

5h 15m

I created this painting with the idea in mind that I'll paint a very tall giraffe although aimed to avoid using pink, after painting the giraffe in green it looked like a dinosaur so I had to re-evaluate and landed on pink anyway. Since the giraffe ended up in the outfit it did, the painting ended up becoming much more festive than I expected. I also painted birds to turn into banana's as they fly around the giraffe although feel like that may have been a subconscious link to the birds in Donkey Kong Country 3, a game I played a lot when I was younger. They certainly seemed familiar for some reason! The road mimics an idea I had for a digital artwork created a few years back (roughly 2020) where I took the road lines and turned them into lasers, like this painting. This time I decided that the entire scene needs to be filled with activities so I submerged the road underwater and turned the giraffes head into a sinking balloon. I painted the balloon clear to mimic a state of mind when going for a stroll on a lovely sunny day. Careless, despite any obstacles on the main road of your day. Midnight Snack

$400.00

30.5 x 1.7cm
x 30.5cm

6h 5m

Since I'm painting one painting a week and death week threw me off a bit I smashed this painting out in three days, the idea of this painting was to focus on skill. After painting 'Fruits of my Labour' I painted 'Snacking and Daydreaming' to replicate the pear from the first one. The second painting also went well so I used the elephants from 'Snacking and Daydreaming' in 'Wall of Bubbles and Floppy Elephants' which turned out entirely different (well, they all look entirely different). So when painting this painting I decided to think about the first painting and take the dark sky and the fruits from the second painting. I've also taken elements from other paintings and challenged myself to paint a clear sheet of water. Overall, very happy with how it turned out and consider it a sequel to 'Snacking and Daydreaming' because it reminds me of a midnight snack. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Nun Ya Business

$450.00

41 x 1.7cm
x 41cm

16h 16m

I had this painting in mind for a while, sometimes when drivingg at night and there's only one other car out I wonder what they're up to or what they do for a living to get that car, or is it on loan? Thing is, I'll never know and it's not my business, the same way if someones looking at my vehicle wondering the same... not your business. I painted the idea as a road surrounded in tall trees although everything is covered in leopard print spots and the car drives on the tree walls, also covered in spots as if it's blending in – no questions to be asked, there's no car. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Cat as Zebra as Bacchus

$500.00

40 x 1.7cm
x 50cm

11h 23m

I'd been looking for plant pots and came across a listing where the owner had a cat statue and next to it a zebra statue, the zebra had been cut off in the photo so for a moment I thought I'd been looking at a cat with zebra stripes. So I painted a cat with zebra stripes. I wanted to include aspects from a recent paintings 'Self Portrait as Caravaggio as Bacchus' as I enjoyed painting the leaf that folds with the table, this time I painted it with an excessive amount of leaves and as if the cat is a zebra as Bacchus. This time with more aspects that I'd call Bacchus... If this cat's going to be a god of wine then it should be in total control of the vines. So the vines float up around the cat-zebra. I'm also a fan of animals not being perfect in my paintings so I painted this one with an amputated leg, replaced with a wheel. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Wall of Bubbles and Floppy Elephants

$550.00

91.5 x 1.7cm
x 46cm

10h 23m

I started off this painting with a very different idea in mind although as I worked on it another painting sold and I decided to include a similar elephant from that one and then it took a turn to look much more like my digital artworks. I struggled a bit with the technicalities of this paintings base layer texture. Originally I wanted the bubbles to act as an invisible barrier, although the concept is up to the viewer. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Self Portrait as Caravaggio as Bacchus

$650.00

46 x 3cm
x 60.5cm

12h 11m

I've been learning about Caravaggio and the first painting I saw in a book was 'Self Portrait as Bacchus'... So I Googled Bacchus, he's the God of Wine. I found it pretty funny that Caravaggio painted himself as the God of Wine although every documentary I saw or read hadn't found the humour in it, some even looked at it as showing off sickness (peoples skin turns yellow when you drink too much, perhaps he were proud?) in terms of help. I decided to paint myself being Caravaggio while he's being Bacchus. It's slightly rushed although as I look at it longer I start to see where I could have improved, specifically in the face shape and shading in general. I chose to make the painting different aside from the general pose, some things in particular are the hair.. Since I'm painting myself being Caravaggio being Bacchus, I decide that the God of Wine's hair ends with a grape or leaf. I changed the vibrancy and colours of the grapes, placements of the peaches and shape of the vines. Copying isn't art so I couldn't see the point in copying a precise replica of the rest of the painting. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Indoor Giraffe

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

1h 19m

This is a digital artwork I decided to get extra creative with. I used the stretched giraffe from my 'Long Neck' digital artwork and also incorporated a much older artwork from a photo of my living room.

Speaker

$100.00

41.5 x 2cm
x 42cm

3h 42m

After purchasing a speaker it looked like a canvas so I popped a painting on it, I like to use pink in my music paintings because pink is the colour of a high pitched sound for me, the flamingo dances it's way through the speaker and turns up the sound while the knob drips down some music to create a glass pear. The flamingo then reappears at the front to what I like to think of the spots as the next song. The material is much thicker than canvas and more difficult to paint on so I currently have no plans to do that again. The priming involved some gesso (as it should!) so the sound turned out muffled so I've taken it off as it's own artwork and repurposed an old frame. Note that I'm not a professional frame maker... Sold with s certificate of authenticity and hooks ready to hang.

Droplets of Daydreams

$200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 20cm

2h 37m

This is a painting I created where I have bubbles sitting on a landscape with sheets of water (like some of my previous paintings) resting on them. It reminded me of day-dreams, in this painting and once soon to follow I use bubbles to represent dreams/ the mind. Oil based, hand stretched, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Dreaming of Tidal Waves

$300.00

50 x 3cm
x 39.5cm

8h 36m

I used to have dreams of tidal waves, people like to jump to conclusions and say that's anxiety.. I reckon sometimes dreams are just dreams, especially if you remember them all you're bound to have some that aren't boring. I found these dreams pretty cool because as time went on I learnt how to dream-swim and beat the tidal wave. Then when I figured it out the dreams changed. The last one I climbed up on top of a building and the water settled around all the buildings into a flood, so this is that. I wanted to paint the sky so that it blends in with the water, like an actual dream you cant tell what's what. I decided not to paint the top of the head because there's no thinking in dreams. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!
