Running Wild with Still Life

$600.00

50 x 1.7cm
x 40cm

19h 39m

I find still life an interesting topic of art, it’s mostly hit or miss and I’m yet to find one in-between. A while back I painted a few satire artworks on still life and vases (‘Vases for Decor Purposes’ or ‘Fruit Bowl’, I think it’s fun to play with the genre so I began this artwork ready to paint some very detailed still life and then ended up wanting to add movement with a parade of horses running through, they swim out of the still life and dive back into it. For some of the artwork I wanted to focus on depth and on other days I wanted to make the shadows not make sense. So this is the result of this still life artwork. I hope it’s a hit for you. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Music Under the Apple Tree

I don’t like abstract art. The fact that people use the word “abstract” in so many situations where it doesn’t make sense bothers me, people have said “It’s so abstract!” when looking at my artworks… There is nothing abstract about my paintings, until now. Adding to that I’m upset that there are many decor artists calling themselves abstract artists in order to be treated as a successful artist in the view of sales, however in my point of view it’s very easy to sell decor. A real artwork needs time to be considered before purchasing and speaks to the art lover… Something entirely lost on decor. No, you will not see me throw paint or resin at a canvas for sales. I may however, do it as satire. Since the word ‘abstract’ bothers me so much I decided it’s time I make a real abstract artwork. One where I paint what I see in the form of shapes that don’t necessarily form an object where it would result in a consensus on what it represents, the definition. I painted each item with intent, here lies an apple fallen from an apple tree on a sunny day and music plays. I also definitely want to know what other people see. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Movement

$650.00

This is one of my 80 artworks and I began this idea with the intent of capturing movement within a painting after looking at Wyndham Lewis’s artwork ‘A Battery Shelled’ and seeing the movement there. The artwork took a plot twist when I looked at the painting image again in daylight and thought I was looking at something entirely different. I continued creating a response to what I thought I saw. I aimed to paint a running statue catching a ball which then turned into a statue hand throwing it and I aimed for the other parts of the artwork to appear as if they’re mid motion.

The artwork isn’t one of my favourites as it looks very different to my other paintings so I’m ‘on the fence’ with this one. Since I made it in October and months have passed before putting it up for sale I’m growing a liking to the result. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Novelty

$550.00

This is one of my 80 artworks and I wanted to create something that has my style and also similar to ‘Midnight Snack’, I believe I aced that part of my goal. I also wanted to paint this artwork as I’m often using banana’s in my artworks yet I can’t eat them. They’re just a novelty for me. I like to paint banana’s in a cubist way and off coloured so now when I see this shape I just see the fruit. The rest of the scene is just playful, I wanted them to be sliding down a slide and have birds also interacting. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Legoraffe

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

4h 22m

Prior to this artwork I photographed and used lego in my ‘Doughnut Town’, since then I decided to create lego in Blender and use it in an artwork. This giraffe has also been through a lot in my artworks and I came up with the idea of turning it’s spots into lego. As I created it I then decided to turn the environment into lego. If you’ve been through a lego phase as an adult I’m sure you vibe with this giraffe.

Watching the Boats Sail Past

$500.00

60 x 3cm
x 33cm

3h 57m

I created this artwork during an art challenge of mine (this week involved ten artworks) and as I looked through a book of artworks I own I saw a seascape with boats and appreciated how serene the artwork looked and wanted one of my own. Naturally, doing a surreal twist. Prior to this in my previous weeks challenge (also ten artworks) I used ones of my doughnuts in a digital artwork and then glanced over at a boat and decided the two need to merge. I’m glad I made a painting of this before a digital piece as these turned out exactly as I aimed. I also wanted to reference an older painting I created, ‘Unexpected’ as I loved painting that artwork. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Vivace

$500.00

45.5 x 3cm
x 46cm

18h 24m

The idea for this artwork came to mind while listening to a fast paced song, after doing a minute of research it’s a 132bpm which makes the beat a vivace. This is what I saw when listening to the song so I decided to paint the synesthesia of the moment, I then added a zap and a sheer screen like it’s the song entering your brain. The artwork ended up being a 20 hour artwork which is pretty long for me, although it was also made alongside four others that week. Turned out fine for the environment! This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Focus

$300.00

46 x 3cm
x 46cm

Before this artwork I created one underneath it, then rage quit and painted this one. My previous artwork was a woman sailing away from an island and I called it ‘Leaving’ because I realised I’d grown differently to my friends and didn’t fit in anymore. Instead, I didn’t like it and kept the mountain then split it and called it ‘Focus’ because I’m super focused on realising my goals as an artist. Still working on it!

Sad Man Acrylic Painting

$150.00

40 x 3.5cm
x 50cm

0h 0m

This may be one of my only figurative artworks, unless I’ve lost and forgotten some out there. I painted this when first starting out my art career in 2017, I’d just began freelancing full time while building the sales and had free rein over my schedule, so naturally I stayed up painting. This artwork was created in about 2 hours. This artwork is acrylic, isn’t one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.
