This is my first digital artwork using Blender as a tool, it's the third time I had used Blender and as you can see in the screen recording I originally tried making a flamingo, and ended up with a ball of feathers. I have a bit to learn although it's a great start! The final artwork is my bike with feather balls being lead by other feather balls through the sky. All artworks are entirely original and no stock images are used.

I made this artwork frm a giraffe I've photographed and some other photo's I took. I wanted to create a giraffe that was misssing it's head and replaced with smoke (you can see in the recording) although my last giraffe edit was received as a bit morbid so I ditched the idea.

I made this digital artwork after being motivated by a copycat, this guy has a large audience so it made me wonder why he needed to take concepts from other artists? So I took it as a perfect opportunity to get my artworks done early and whip out some incredibly unique concepts that are purely imagined up as I make them. I think this was a brand new photo kind of artwork, I like to only use photos I’ve taken for artworks and reflected on my very early one artwork ‘Banana Ocean’ I wanted to get creative with fruit, since I had some fruit around, and also throw in some cubism in a digital art manner. Sometimes I decide I’m tired of the photos I have with my digital artworks and take some new ones to create something I haven’t done before. This artwork was tricky as I used a new photo, where the first use of the photo is always the roughest, and also an angle from a photo I took on an adventure that I was also unsure how I could successfully use it in a digital artwork. This is the result. I’m not the biggest fan but it was a learning curve.

This was another tackle at the night time artworks and a bit of a reflection on my ‘Seacliff Clouds’ artwork wanting to create another but a bit more eventful. This was a memorable one! I wanted to know how far I could manipulate my photo of a pineapple. Having seen online back then (before AI) where other artists would make fantastic artworks out of fruit, I wanted to join in. This artwork went through a little bit of a transformation, first I photographed some juice being poured into a cup and wanted to use the stick of the pear as the tip of the juice bottle, it didn’t end up working out and I just went rogue and turned the pears into balloons then threw a door into a mountain edge. This artwork originally had two versions where I rotated one and either had the door up right or from the ground.

When deciding what to create with my next digital artwork I decided I wanted to create a mini scene in the kitchen with what I had. There’s also an inside joke here, “malk” for those who knew Julian Smith around 2010. It reminds me of sleeping beauty just a bit, I also specifically added the eggs on the clouds as I was going for something there.

A few years prior to creating this artwork I’d adventured down to Sea Cliff Bridge and photographed some fantastic long exposures. Later on I decided I wanted to create a digital artwork out of it, however creating digital surreal artworks from long distance landscape photos are difficult and at the time I’d decided I wanted to play with clouds and light. Night time digital artworks are also a minority in my portfolio and that comes as a challenge as well.

This was quite a fun artwork, naturally, as a plant person, I bought myself a pineapple to chop the top and grow my own because I think they looks cool, like the new pineapple sits in it’s own thrown as it grows. I also photograph anything interesting I come by so I can use it in a digital artwork. Following this I managed to create many pineapple artworks and this was the first. It also follows a phase where I practiced creating artificial lasers in my digital artworks.
