In Autumn I enjoy seeing lines of trees and the leaves change throughout the year, so from that thought I wanted to create a line of surreal trees where their leaves are different objects from my digital artworks.

While watching a video about the depths of astrology I noticed one of the astrologers I respect dropped the word “magic” a few times. This lead me into a rabbit hole learning that there’s people who genuinely believe in magic. Not your typical hocus pocus that you see on TV (probably mocking what I’m learning about) but essentially working with the energy you have, as in you can’t wish yourself up to be a billionaire. I found it interesting. I found it more interesting that these people keep to themselves, essentially the reason you wouldn’t realise you’ve come across someone who believes in magic. I continued on to watch a discussion about the Picatrix. Long story short, I like these people. Far too often I’m confronted with strangers who have nothing better to do than insert themselves in my life and run a muck. So I really appreciate that these people who are into magic keep to themselves. I painted this thought as a row of cactuses, I like to represent people through cactuses. They’re all doing what they do, in this case expected to line up, but the one into magic lines up and focuses on it’s own agenda. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Recently before creating this artwork (one of my 80), I’d turned my giraffe into zebra print and cleaned up the beetle photos. I imagined something slightly different (less busy) when thinking I wanted to be one of those people who’d created an artwork with a zoo animal in a car. However after putting it together I found it a bit small and needed to give the two a scene. From there I decided to pull up the paint, add a fence made of bicycles the add the flying cars from another recent artwork (which hasn’t been shared yet).

This is a digital artwork I decided to create during my 80 artworks and wanted to turn my other photographs into statues, following the lead of an actual statue photograph I took years ago in Vienna (I think) and also cut out my other car photos so they’re useable for future artworks as well. After starting I realised it wont sit as I imagined since I still placed the statues alongside the road but didn’t have suitable material to create a sidewalk. In the end I like how it’s super crammed and decided to name it accordingly.
