This is another artwork I created from my zoo visit where I really struggled to capture a clean photo of the hippo! This was a tough one because if I can’t seperate the hippo then I have to use the greenery around it in the artwork. I also added the challenge of using Photoshop’s wet brush. This was really interesting to make, I first increased the saturation on the layers below so the wet brush would pick up the colours and smudge them then reverted the original colours leaving behind this funky 60’s hippy pattern. I thought this was an awesome technique and continued it on throughout other digital artworks.
For now... I prefer you grab yourself a discontinued print! Unfortunately, my profit margin for the metal prints has dropped from 50% down to 10% and I spend all day travelling to pick up the artwork.
To fix that I'm saving up for machines to print in-house! I plan on obtaining them by early 2027 and having the small and medium sizes done here. The large size will stay as is, printed through my printer for now so that price has increased and feel free to grab one whenever you want! Either way, if you absolutely love the artworks like I do, I won't stop you from grabbing a metal print sooner.
These artworks are printed on aluminium and are outdoor friendly. They come with a frame attached to the back for the medium and large size and the small size comes with a hook. These are also easy to frame, just don't put the frame backing or request it without a hanging frame.
Metal prints are made to order and take a week and a half to be posted.
Postage on everything is delayed until August 28/29 due to shuffling things around.
