This artwork reflects the ‘Me Too’ movement, which in hindsight took a plot twist and now see the artwork in a different light. At the time I painted an invisible man, likely with the idea that men can get away with being mysognynistic and having little blow back. Now the tables have turned, the men who see serious consequences of saying hi to a woman then being publicly labelled as a creep online have backed off entirely and the ones who didn’t care, continue not to. Leaving men unseen, the dating culture has paused and in general being a gentlemen carries risks.

This artwork is oil based, isn’t one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.
