I really enjoyed painting ‘Everything and Nothing’, an artwork similar to this with a pear shaped hill, alluding to there being a pear, yet it’s just a landscape so there’s nothing there. That artworks gone now and I wanted to create another, however slightly different idea in mind. This time the hill is a cow. Death reminded me of this idea, when you bury a pet, or anything, the grass is greener, so naturally the moisture droplets evaporate through the greenery over night.

When someone dies, you don’t just forget they existed so I painted the water hanging over the hill like memories.

This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.
