This painting is a pineapple growing from the ground (like a carrot) taking the shape of a Pyramid, like the ones in Egypt. I thought of the idea that Pharoahs would bury their possesions with them and then created a visual metaphor for the lack of priorities today. I’m noticing that people would rather spend their money on having an unhealthy desert or an experience without considering how putting the money to something less self-sabotaging could make them just as happy. Building their own pyramid of treasures, not fruit. Others could read into this much further considering the textures etc.
