I made this painting following a digital artwork of fruit that wasn’t the correct shapes, and ran with the banana idea. The concept is based around the way lots of people live their lives, unnaturally posed in front of a screen ordering takeaway, connected to the other screens and that’s their reality. The outdoors of the painting was going to include magenta (to have a mix of CMYK.. graphic design jargon) although it looked too space-like for my liking.
It’s hand stretched with a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks.
