This artwork was a challenging artwork, recently before beginning I’d fallen into a mini monochrome rabbit hole, seeing the wonderful ideas that could be conveyed through monochrome, but you need to do it right to be affective. I’m not sure I aced it with this one. At the time COVID was also going on and everyone was oddly segregated, I think it settled in a sense of division within the culture (at least in the main cities of Australia) for at least the following six years. I painted the rainbow but separated… It’s not really a rainbow anymore and can’t be appreciated as such.

This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.
