This is a painting that I created in order to challenge myself to use a smaller canvas, I’m not an artist who uses small centrepieces (or none) so this certainly proved to be a challenge. I also used leftover canvas from my last roll which is more coarse which doesn’t let me work on detail as smoothly as I’d like so when I finished the artwork I feel like it turned out pretty well considering the situation I put myself in!
I painted a bird and wanted to carry on the style from a painting a few paintings ago ‘Midnight Snack’ with solid waves and tiny bubbles/ balloons. This time I couldn’t decide whether the bird would be swimming, flying or dreaming. I figure you’re doing it all in a dream anyway so it’s doing it all in a dreamlike artwork.
This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.
