You may have come across this artwork looking for a giraffe, when I showed people the artwork in real life I definitely sensed some confusion. The giraffe is abstract, and the magic of abstract art is that the next person sees something different to you, if it’s real abstract art as opposed to splotches dumped on a canvas. It reminds me of a giraffe because when I work on my giraffe in my digital artworks I’ve reached the point where I cut out all the giraffe spots individually and paste them back with a different colour or some sort of alteration. To me it looks like that but in the shape of water.
