I recently saw a TikTok video of what people considered a really shit wedding portrait. This is news to me that artists are hired for an extraordinary amount to paint live! I thought I’d kick ass at this and want to get in on it so I began busking to practice in front of people. If you watch the time-lapse on my time-lapse YouTube you’ll see I do the first two hours live, there’s a two hour limit on site. Since this is practice I’m just selling it cheap. It’s the second of the five and sold on site! Acrylic on cardboard and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

I really enjoyed painting ‘Everything and Nothing’, an artwork similar to this with a pear shaped hill, alluding to there being a pear, yet it’s just a landscape so there’s nothing there. That artworks gone now and I wanted to create another, however slightly different idea in mind. This time the hill is a cow. Death reminded me of this idea, when you bury a pet, or anything, the grass is greener, so naturally the moisture droplets evaporate through the greenery over night. When someone dies, you don’t just forget they existed so I painted the water hanging over the hill like memories. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Prior to this artwork I photographed and used lego in my ‘Doughnut Town’, since then I decided to create lego in Blender and use it in an artwork. This giraffe has also been through a lot in my artworks and I came up with the idea of turning it’s spots into lego. As I created it I then decided to turn the environment into lego. If you’ve been through a lego phase as an adult I’m sure you vibe with this giraffe.

I created this artwork with an idea in mind to continue on from another artwork I'd painted, yet from a different angle (as you can see in the video) then decided to ditch that idea and paint a ledge, similar to my other flat earth paintings except with the idea in mind to merge the water and land into a watery land. Some may see it as a close up on the edge of a table cloth instead. The artwork is empty and lacks lively presence on purpose, my goal for the painting was to make it feel alone, as if if you were there you would be in a very quiet serene environment. I created this painting based on a digital artwork I created a few weeks prior which was incredibly well received. Knowing that from the past when I paint a digital artwork it doesn’t quite measure up, so this time I painted a different angle and with a new style using harsher gradients which I think made it unique. I call it “Traveller” because when I first looked at it after I'd painted the people in I saw a journey, like one where you travel over seas and other countries look, feel and smell as foreign as a pineapple blowing up to a hot air balloon. Floating on a crossing as if the visit is a dream. Whenever I explain how Bulgaria is to Australians I don't think they ever fully understand how different it is unless they experience going there. I am a fan of this one! This artwork stands out to me when I think back at past favourites. It took a while to sell but I’m not surprised it did. I had a couple challenges for this artwork, the first being painting a woman. I can paint portraits but under some conditions it’s trickier. It also takes a few paintings to get it right as humans are really perceptive to bad imitations. First I wanted to just include hair and get that right but in my style, then the hand and a cup. From there I also wanted to create a playful artwork where we bypass the processes from fruit to juice and just have the tree on tap. So here you go, this is the result.
