Before I created this I’d recently photographed a jar which I used in the previous artwork, ‘The Doughnut Jar’, and decided I’d love to see a jar filled with snakes. If you see the screen recording you’ll see I tried a few variations but ended up using a car as a lid as you see here. I also decided to include ideas from older artworks like ‘Stitching Ground’ to keep the lid on.

This artwork is one of my 80 in 79 days and I decided to paint the feeling of a night walk. However this turned out very different to the idea I had in mind which included a building. I painted the rain as sheets of water hanging off the clouds alongside another artwork I painted that week, evaporating from the river. Including the water for that feeling of a cold breeze and boats sailing along the sand like the quiet, out of place vibe. This is an artwork I decided to paint when noticing how much I appreciate watching 80’s rock music videos, then watch the talented people become so successful so young. So this is how I feel when seeing them, like a skeleton still waiting on something I do to create the same success. I painted the moon on the skeletons side stuck in a bubble, similar to a chain of thoughts from my digital artworks where I began with a cross walking sign which turned into feet in a bubble. The carpet turns into blood and the (for anyone outside my train of thought) the rectangular prisms with waves on them is a fence separating the two worlds.. This artwork is a slight continuation from last week and a mix of another artwork I created a while back which I enjoy, ‘Midnight Snack’. There’s something I haven’t been able to recreate about that artwork yet so I gave it another go with this artwork (not quite there yet). I’m really into my crepes, I think I’ve got them down. Each day at brunch I have a lovely snack with crepes admiring how the plants have grown over the past day. I have them with a coffee, ham and creamed honey and used to have a swarm of bees visit (hoping to staunch some honey). This is a digital artwork I created during the beginning of my October challenge and really wanted to utilise my new jar photo and also the theme I’d recently been following with using tiny objects (since my computer’s now upgraded and can handle my ideas). I also saw an artwork from the MCA of a red room and wanted to create a glass outdoor room after seeing this. While creating this a client rang and asked how I think of these ideas, so that’s what I named it.

I recently discovered that I know someone else who’s also more than happy to eat the same meals every day. When I think about discussions with people about eating the same meal every day it seems to be quite a topic of debate, one person assumed I felt the same way they did and tried relating with me about the struggle of having to find a new cereal or type of breakfast each day. I couldn’t relate. I’m pretty chuffed to have a fruit salad each morning and the way I prepare it doesn’t sit pretty with a few people either; using frozen mango. Frozen mango is definitely my preference in any regard! I decided to paint these ideas as my fruit salad stuck into a can shape... Being stuck in my ways. Before you read the description, and since you’re likely reading this online and already seen the title I want you to take part in this artwork and take a moment to decypher the artwork and interpret to make sense in your own way before reading on. I hope you joined in! I really bothers me how we live in such a PC world where all the words ever are being transformed into offensive words, yet people find substitutes to describe what they’re saying anyway. A word cannot be offensive since a word has no intention, it’s just a word. Although the people who continually and collectively decide to use any word in a derogatory manner change it’s definition into something gross. I could write an endless list of words that aren’t socially acceptable until you feel like you’re a woman in the 50’s however I’ll focus on these three. Recently I felt frustrated that the postie couldn’t find the damn front door to deliver my parcels so as I complained I said “no man, he’s just an idiot you need to train him xyz” the person stopped to debate my use of language and it came as a surprise to me I can’t use “idiot” to describe this persons actions. “Idiot” is a person with an IQ below 80, can’t find the door? My statement was factual and not malicious. I also found myself looking up the real definition of autism during my frustration of people confusing geniuses with autism and saw that when autism was first defined they used the words “idiot/ idiot savant” without censoring it, this alongside other books such as ‘Genius, The Natural History of Creativity’ openly use the word “idiot” as factual (and so on). The final word, “genius” has been used incorrectly in so many examples it seems as if no one really knows what a genius is and often label prodigies and people with autism as geniuses. Dangerous territory in my opinion, start labelling a prodigy as a genius and they’ll lose motivation by the time they grow and their peers catch up (therefore not a real genius). Start labelling autistic people who are also prodigies and you see this gross fad of neurotypical people claiming they’re autistic to feel special, I’m disgusted by that behaviour. I didn’t live in the early 1900’s however looking back at artworks from the 1700’s I see paintings of servants and slaves in respectable ways, I genuinely don’t believe that the word “nigger” has always been an insult, only the way that people have chosen to use it in an offensive manner dirties up the word to now stand as one of the most offensive words out there. However I’m neither white or black and opt out from great debate of who can use the word without offence. Artworks in my opinion are an exception, Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’ and Quentin Trarantino’s ‘Django’ as popular examples. Now that you see my point of view here’s the artwork and your interpretation. I painted three random items at my disposal (video on YT of the making) and they have no relation to the title, however accidentally they can relate; the cactus has no brain (idiot) the chocolate is brown (nigger) and the paint could be of a genius. That’s what people I’ve shown in real life also come to see. However that’s just what you did with your own perception. You labelled them and you decided their meanings on your own. These are just objects and being puppeteered above showing a finger slightly out of view and the shirt buttons in the background. Enjoy your perspective on these innocent words and objects! This is an artwork I decided to create during the second round of my ‘October challenge’ and always wanted to re-create an older piece named ‘Candy Crossing’ as I’ve always liked how that one turned out. However I wanted to create a twist where I also include aspects from ‘Camoflage Partyraffant’ where the giraffe hides behind a wall. I ended up creating this and wanted to show a different world behind the wall.

When looking at still life artworks I enjoy them however the fact that you can do so much more with a bowl of fruit and drink always crosses my mind. Really make the viewer think about what’s going on there. I also really like how still life ages and it’s atypical to see aged fruit in a still life artwork, there’s a beauty in aged fruit, especially rotting fruit when you see the brown start to show. I decided to paint my still life artwork in motion, as if something happened (I wont throw suggestions as to what, that’s up to you) that caused the still life arrangement to go flying around the canvas. I tried to paint off milk here however I never come across off milk so that’s my best attempt at this time in my life. As a surrealist I also enjoy painting items in the wrong colours. Even though the contents of this artwork are aged and moving around, it’s still, still life. I created this artwork during an art challenge of mine (this week involved ten artworks) and as I looked through a book of artworks I own I saw a seascape with boats and appreciated how serene the artwork looked and wanted one of my own. Naturally, doing a surreal twist. The idea for this artwork came to mind while listening to a fast paced song, after doing a minute of research it’s a 132bpm which makes the beat a vivace. This is what I saw when listening to the song so I decided to paint the synesthesia of the moment, I then added a zap and a sheer screen like it’s the song entering your brain. The artwork ended up being a 20 hour artwork which is pretty long for me, although it was also made alongside four others that week. Turned out fine for the environment! I had this idea in mind for a while, being a big fan of 80’s rock I noticed when 90’s rock is suggested in my playlists there’s no piano solos (concerto’s) and it makes a difference. I find rock more grunge without the piano, it’s disappointing to imagine some of the hits without the piano. Previously having created my artworks ‘The Decomposed Musician’ about the death of the musician as a regular career and ‘Cello’ being the artwork before that, this follows the mini series. I painted the piano rotting like a pear and the previous artworks, and a hand closing the lid then it’s blood drips into the piano’s final red carpet. The piano is attacked and falling apart. The white flag grows out of the dead leaves and out the window to join the previously fallen contributions to music as time passed. This is an idea that came into mind when painting my painting, ‘Death of the Rock Piano’ where I looked at my digital artwork using a piano where I changed the colours and decided I should create another with zebra stripes, then since I already created a piece with a stripy giraffe I thought I’d include that and just turn it black and white. This didn’t look like zebra stripes so I ventured on to create stripes which resemble the actual pattern and this is the outcome.

I began this artwork with a different idea in mind, then by the time I’d finished creating my 2023 colouring in books I wasn’t passionate about the concept anymore so decided to ditch it. From there I began painting a pear as if it’s being dispensed and squished it’s predecessor, since I’m always making a point about consumerism that’s where I went. The Journey’ is the prequel to this artwork (and they’re sold separately, maybe to reunite one day). The two artworks fit together like puzzle pieces when one is rotated 180º and placed above the other, see the timelapse video to see them together. The previous artwork shows a journey and depicted at night time, this one shows the other side of the journey, not necessarily after death but another side. I really enjoy Hieronymus Bosch’s artworks and having many events going on in his artworks and I aim to incorporate that in my artworks, these two being the target of that aim. In this artwork I aimed to have two marches heading over to the first painting and included the window far in the background as well as the bird porcelain print on the tree. This is a painting I decided to paint out of disappointment I never received any roses from a failed relationship. Although I didn’t want to just paint a bouquet of flowers, like some “décor artist”. I began with the hand reaching out and the flowers drifting off in the wind. As I painted it I did receive a gesture although it felt empty, a compensation for communication which to me, entirely exhausted my efforts, so I then began to paint the leaves closest to the hand turning into drops of blood. I did have plans to turn the leaves floating away as transparent but I grew bored of the artwork and wrapped it up there. I also have more work to do in painting flowers. A while back I felt sad and since the universe dumped an excessive amount of talent this way, I decided to paint a portrait of my sadness to make other people feel sad when they stop and watch the artwork. This isn’t a self portrait. Since a smile is contagious, so is everything else. I added a severed hand, the idea originally spawned from a recently sold artwork ‘The Decomposed Musician’ then I decided it’s representative of the memories that keep their grip. Floating fruit in the background representing my art goals as unfocused 3D glasses since being sad makes it hard to focus on them. Birds stuck in the wall, unlike all my other bird artworks where they fly freely and a frame around her head as women are strongly influenced to keep from confronting issues and sit pretty, until it’s too late to communicate. I really enjoy Hieronymus Bosch’s artworks, specifically how they his artworks encompass busy themes where Bosch packs in plenty of characters and ‘furniture’. A while back I noticed my artworks at the time had a centrepiece and that’s how I conveyed my idea. I’ve been working on creating busier visuals where the viewer will be drawn into the artwork thinking about each section and wonder away with that thought, creating a different experience. This artwork isn’t as busy as I originally aimed however when I reached this point I decided this is how it needs to be. On the left side I added more characters than the right as I want people to read the artwork like a book, left to right. I ended up naming it ‘The Journey’ because when I reached the end of the artwork whenever I looked at it I felt like it’s a journey, like your life journey. Nothing ever seems to go as planned and when you look back at it you end up with a bunch of mismatched and unexpected events that feel like home because it’s yours and you lived that. This is an artwork I decided to create after wondering about fortune tellers and how they end up becoming one. I knew a woman who seemingly decided to become one one day, she wasn’t the most honest person so I genuinely questioned her motives. Others have their own paths, so I painted a fortune teller at an empty fair in her hut. Behind her the hut continues to stretch into the blurry distance, underneath I painted symbols of life events that could have led her to this career, they can be interpreted as the viewer wishes, although I wanted to include items that symbolise religion, time, spirits, threats, money and so on. In this artwork I play with psychology and gentrification. As I opened Saatchiart to upload one of my artworks another “artwork” caught my attention. This was priced at $20K+, so I clicked onto the artwork to see what majestic concept the “artist” aimed to channel. None. The listing literally said ‘décor’. I’m offended. So offended turned my offence into an artwork. ‘Simulation theory’ then kicks in and I happened to stumble across a massive canvas to repurpose for this concept. I decided to genuinely show off my talent in this piece although price it stupidly high on the online galleries and have no description, to give the impression it’s décor. I’m assuming the gallery will place it in a nice position since they’ll make a huge commission, I aim for the viewers to question the price. Leading them to see my other artworks and seeing a huge discrepancy. I wonder if the viewers will then look up my name and see this description on my own website to see I’m mocking the gentrification of décor artists and have a real description and appropriate price here (according to my level of fame). The game here is if someone ends up buying it direct, they win the game… If they go through a gallery without finding the true meaning of the artwork, I win the game. I risk being kicked off the online galleries with this artwork although that’s part of the statement I’m making. I tried painting this in 9 days although finished it in ten, because of the timeline I gave myself there’s definitely some tiny parts where I could have calculated the paint drying better so there are a few touch-ups which don’t reflect my aim to entirely show off my talent… The items in the artwork aren’t meant to have meaning however I definitely painted it with a story in mind, that’s just the way it worked out. Negro with Parrots and Monkeys Censored

This artwork is an appropriation of a 17th century Swedish leading artist David Klöcker Ehrenstrahl’s 1670 artwork ‘Negro with Parrots and Monkeys’. When I saw this artwork originally I really enjoyed the composition and expression used. However we live in a cancel culture where even in the most fitting situations we aren’t allowed to mention a growing vocabulary of words purely because someone else has repeatedly used them in a derogatory manner and therefore it’s assumed all uses of the word are derogatory. “The asian girl over there” for example, is now considered a racist comment instead of describing the person you’re referring to. I feel as if I’m not allowed to tell anyone about the original artwork, it’s now considered racist despite portraying the opposite of how we now associate the word, negro. By appropriating this artwork I’m giving the original artwork a new platform to be seen, we shouldn’t shun art history out of fear of using a word in the most appropriate context and being cancelled. I could have named it “I’m not allowed to title this artwork” but I don’t believe that would have reflected the original enough or even conveyed the point I’m making. I have two other appropriations and they’re each titled referencing the originals. I did think about just appropriating the artwork into my own style, surrealist and bold colours although after starting I changed my mind and tried to ring true to the thin and many layers artists of the time would have used. Putting censor bars and staying true to the style seemed more appropriate to my goal. The approach to thinly layering paint didn’t sit well with me and I ended up stopping this to paint a massive artwork in my own style. Toward the end of this artwork I ended up rage quitting because I felt like it took too long. Had I isolated more time in the first week of this artwork then I would have stayed interested in keeping it realistic. I wasn’t able to perfectly match the perspective. This is an artwork I decided to paint when it became clear that women are taking jabs at me for my shoes. Everyone, except Australians (with Australian backgrounds) know that Australians dress poorly. My background is Bulgarian and Bulgarians dress well. I subconsciously did what my ancestors do and dress well, despite not being raised in the country, as I grow older that involves heels. Australian women even go so far as to say to my face “It’s not normal, you’re being weird” specifically speaking about the fact that my outfit that day had been complimented with heels. It’s essentially racism without realising there’s a cultural difference going on here. I question why my shoes bother these women so much to have to insult me, so I painted them, and one day they will hang on someones wall with pride. As I painted this artwork I learnt that Mars also removed the heels off the green m&m, so I painted it under mine. I recently joined TikTok to share my art and a video of another creator came up where the person bragged how “this painting hasn’t sold yet” and a painting is all it seemed to be to me. In 1844 Hugh Blackburn created the pendulum painting where paint drips onto a canvas as a swinging pendulum and as the paint runs out the loops become smaller in diameter. Definitely a great concept playing with physics although fast forward a few centuries people are replicating this for the sake of replicating it and becoming sell outs. It brings me down along with the standard of art people are being sold, so I painted my own take. Pears sometimes represent people in my artworks so I painted pears in the shape of a spiral on their way out the window, commenting on the repeated process and how it may still put the viewer in a trance, no matter how many times it’s been done. A while back I watched a YouTube video about the Victorian Era and learnt that the record player had been invented in 1887 and everyone enjoyed music in their own homes… Essentially the death of the career as a musician being a normal occupation, resulting in the career seeming unattainable to many. This mimics my opinions on art, so many artists opt to sell prints of a painting not thinking that perhaps if they didn’t offer that then buyers would look at real artworks (and prints of hand made artworks are blasphemous). I decided to paint an artwork similar to my ‘Cello’ artwork in terms of the scenery although chose to paint the cello as a pear beginning to rot, alongside rotting grapes and the slightly bloody hand and ear of a musician, plugged by the grape. By limiting musical artists ability to make money through their passion are you ‘biting the hand’ that feeds you? I enjoyed this artwork as I believe I pulled of the gore with tact. This is a digital artwork I’d thought about making for a while. When I cut out the giraffes spots a few years back for another artwork I found the giraffe looked naked, like a human. I return to this giraffe for other artworks and when I change the spots into geometric looking spots I think the same. This artwork came to be while making another and just decided to split the file into two and pivot each artwork from that point. I ended up createing a crowd of naked giraffes as a nod to Spencer Tunick. I also worked on teach giraffe looking lik an individual.

My 2022 new years resolution had been to counteract my contribution to landfill by saving items being thrown out that could be recycled at the recycling center, scrap metal or weren’t rubbish and could be sold. I ended up defeating my net zero landfill goal and saving carloads more than I threw out, and as a result it really brings me down to see piles of landfill contributions that could have been avoided with minimal effort. As I continued to see piles of “trash” I wondered what the difference is between throwing something out into landfill and digging up a hole and burying in your backyard. I can only think of one difference, convenience. If you didn’t have the option to bury your unwanted items elsewhere, would you put more effort into disposing of them properly, would this have a chain reaction on the consumer culture? I painted a fence for this, one side is your backyard and the other is the countries backyard. I painted items which don’t belong in landfill emerging from gaps in the land. Some items even with tags, just like real life. I also included dead leaves and the hole where the items fall in and out of as a wormhole. This probably wont be my final artwork on landfill, having already made on on how canvas prints contribute, although this is the one I’ve made for now. This is digital artwork I decided to create based on a road from one of my older artworks although include newer elements. As I created it I wanted to create a very playful journey as if the cars blend in with the candy and vice versa.

This is an artwork I decided to paint after the thought crossed my mind that no one actually owns anything, if you have a pet bird the only reasons you believe you own it is because you either formed a bond or it’s stuck in a cage. The same principle could be applied to other humans, if you’re in any type of relationship with someone you can’t claim you own them because society has labelled that action as anti-social. You don’t own anyone, you’ve formed a bond to keep them around or they’re being held hostage. On that idea I painted a bird carrying a pear with a barcode print on them. The concept of not actually owning anything seems harder to grasp with inanimate objects such as a pear, you don’t own a pear either, you tell people it’s yours and out of respect, inconvenience or fear they don’t take it from you. This is a digital artwork I created based on two other previous artworks. The mini series began with creating a bird covered in the background pattern, which then evolved into and elephant and the bird. Then I had one more animal I can use, a giraffe. Only this time reshuffling the arrangement.

This is a painting I decided to paint in reference to two other artworks, ‘Midnight Snack’ and ‘Dreaming of Tidal Waves’. I enjoy painting in that style and felt like painting a dark artwork having ventured into difference styles recently. I intended on painting some form of dreaming and as I tried to paint through sleep (I’d been creating ten artworks that week) I repeatedly woke from mini-almost naps with new ideas for this artwork. Unfortunately I didn’t allow myself enough time to include all the ideas (they’re included in my YouTube artventure video though) although I do believe I managed to reach an entry level representation of waking up. I painted the clear sheet of water as the feeling of moving from sleep to wake and the deep thick, non-transparent water as the sleep. I originally planned to include my pineapple hot air balloon from other artworks although that didn’t work out so I lead the rope to nowhere. This is a digital artwork I decided to create based on my new pants at the time. I have some new peacocking pants and now my giraffe matches. I also popped in a thinking cloud intentionally.

After some indecision with the concept on this artwork I’d watched a Tom Cruise interview being analysed and the journalist brought up confirmation bias; going into your research on a topic only to confirm your opinion. So I decided to play with this idea. You may look at this artwork and see the floating circles creating a large cylinder shape, or you might see them as a flat mesh of circles pivoting on their own axis, you might even decide that they aren’t circles and some are ellipses. The next decision the viewer would make is to look for other elements in the artwork to give confirm whichever opinion they’ve set on. I haven’t included any hints to which is what, so, to mimic anyones real life research to confirm their bias on anything it’s up to you to see what’s not intentionally there to confirm what you see and the environment is the same for everyone. This is a digital artwork I created after an idea popped into mind where a moon was being carried through a hoop that I use in my digital artworks. I wasn't able to entirely capture what I'd been imagining so this is a tangent from that. The hoops in this artwork remind me of prawn crackers and that's how I titled it.

I decided to paint this artwork after I discovered creamed honey. I have bees that visit my place everyday for honey and I opted in for creamed so I wouldn't have to fight with a bee to eat my pancakes. The bee's didn't recognise the creamed version and that solved my problem which had me wondering if food were a different consistency would we still enjoy it as much? I painted a pizza as soup and wine as jelly. I feel like I still have room for improvement in executing the realness of the artwork although this is where I'm at right now.
