This artwork is one of many remakes of my artwork, ‘Tofu’, 2021. I’ve been recreating the artwork for an art battle where artists compete to create an artwork in twenty minutes. For this particular one I decided to go busking however there was a one hour time limit so I decided to paint this one and one other. You can see the live recording on one of my YouTube channels. This artwork took 30 minutes and a few touchups, unfortunately no tips and no one bid to buy it. This artwork isn’t like my other ones in the sense that It’s a “canvas” print that I painted over, created with acrylic and it’s stretched onto MDF. I wanted to make a painting similar to the Penrose or M.C. Escher stairs although I didn't want to look at the artwork before making this because I wanted mine to look different, I also didn't want to include stairs so I just ended up with something entirely different. I included elements which I include in my paintings and the main block screamed chocolate so I turned it into a chocolate bar. Someone I know threw a little disrespect my way to get ahead and to be frank it made me feel a bit shitty for a day and a bit, I feel like I've usually got my mood in check so I thought this would be a prime opportunity to paint how I felt! Especially (astrology term) since my MC is in the sign of Cancer (an emotional sign) which explain to me that if I tap into emotion then my career would do better as opposed to if I didn't. I chose to put waves of lighter shades in the sky because things seemed a bit dizzy, I painted a large window/ doorway because it seemed cold, a bit drafty, rough grounds and floppy arms. Emotional pain causes the same brain response to physical so I guess thats why my arms felt down as well. The black dots, tears. I decided to paint this painting after watching a string of documentaries, by chance I watched Michelangelo after de Vinci and feel like I already knew they shared a lifetime although just found it interesting. Since they weren't friends I decided to paint them having a battle. I covered the floor in each of their most famous painting, ironically that seems to be the territory they fought over, yet neither of them reported to enjoy painting. The sky on da Vinci's side is darker, as If the suns set on him, Michelangelo is on a platform, as if it's similar to the one he painted the Sistine Chapel on, fighting with his statue of David. De Vinci (the man on the ground) fights wearing the armour he designed and also uses some weapons he designed. Hand stretched, sold with a certificate of authenticity and hooks ready to hang! Not framed and oil based.

When I was younger there wasn't much lactose free substitutes available and always thought that when I get older there'll be heaps. There aren't (in Australia) although I find it somewhat ironic that major companies opt to jump straight to vegan food to be inclusive of those with intolerances. Yet I'd prefer to opt out of those products and make my own, entirely skipping on the mass production. I see tofu as a kind of “fake” food, it's often mimicking other food and never the hero of a meal. This painting's mocking vegan food (as I do.. lol), the pear represents the tofu and a clear drape over it as if it's a cow hide, my representation of when people use tofu to make “meat”. Instead of human cameramen I used pink peacocks because I feel the genre is super glorified, often in the spotlight and shaming other diets. It's ultimately up to the viewer to determine how they want to perceive the painting. Sold with hooks, ready to hang, a certificate of authentication and oil based!

A thought crossed my mind where everyone always has a problem they're dealing with, I don't believe anyone's left without a problem for long. So I painted this maze, the person in the painting builds crossings at each dead end, one section where they cut a plank from the ground (using the recourses you have) and other ladders made from ropes dropped from the sky. I really enjoyed this painting, although I don't believe it's reached it potential so I'll be making a large sequel as soon as I get my hands on a canvas of that size. This is a painting inspired by an event, Uranus transiting my 7th house, where you tend to shake off relationships that aren't working. I had some people from a past life lure their way back in only to notice the same patterns started before I'd even seen them. The lake has spikes, I imagine how uncomfortable that lake would be to swim in.. spiky water which is fenced off, a barrier. I've painted a hand (mine) stretching down from the sky dipping it's finger in the water through the fence, expressing how much of a stretch it would be for me to actually give that lake any real attention. I thought I'd make a painting showing how I'd assume anxiety feels, although I don't really relate to the painting which made it more difficult to make it look different to how it looks. Over-all, ironically, I still don't vibe with it. Looks like that's what happens when you paint about something you don't know! I've painted a perfectly shaped mask hiding a face which is melting away, the surroundings are glasses falling and breaking and clouds cover the eye holes making it dark for the person behind the mask. This canvas is hand stretched, will be sold with hooks and has a certificate of authenticity.

This is a painting of a pear with a cow hide skin growing from a hand shaped tree with sparkles on it, the inside of the pear has a ladder and birds flying from it. I had this canvas sitting waiting to be started and I just decided that I wanted to paint a pear with a cow hide skin in a dim setting, I had no intention with meaning behind it, so like a viewer seeing the painting for the first time I decided what it meant for me after I completed it. I’m a big fan of cow hides, using the whole cow. I have a few and to me they’re a medal, like when you make one the star of you’re home you’re showing off the sacrifices the cow made throughout it’s life, I painted (and own) holstein cow hides which is the cow that produces milk, so the idea of how many babies and people in general that cow gave it’s nutrients to and the hard work comes to mind when I wonder about a life it would have had. Pears in my paintings also play along with the metaphor when people say something went “pear shaped”. So I personally see it that the pear is the life/home I’m building through my hand crafted career. Oil Based, signed with a certificate of authenticity and ready to hang.

This painting was inspired by a little tangent I went on after being asked the question “What's your biggest weakness” when I put myself up for an opportunity. I ended up saying something along the lines of “I don't get why people get so bothered when you're late or bad with time.. It's like they've chosen to live their life strictly to a religion of time and expect everyone else to do the same in dictatorship. I don't live my life by that religion and that should be acceptable”. I found that a little funny, hyperbolic yet resinates. So this is my painting to represent it. The statue is my head, I guess, just a female, made of sand emerging from the ground and cut off as if it's thoughts are purely time. My clock has no order, the numbers float away, turning into yellow birds. The water also represents the constant flowing where you'll (in general) never get a grip. It's hand stretched with a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks.

This is a memorable artwork! Mainly because the file became half corrupt when I wrapped it up. I was so proud of what I’d made and I couldn’t simply open it to adjust some things before finishing it. The idea behind this is that I wanted to create a chain out of my motorbike, through the wheels. I think I did a decent job. It’s also in a colouring in book if you want to have a go at making the artwork yourself.

I also wanted to play with the idea of giraffe height so I created a pool in the sky and then visiting it. The artwork I tried to recreate is ‘Art in Desert’ but since my digital artworks are just creativity vomit and the paintings have concepts, I tied a concept to it. This painting is for all the optimists out there. When I wake up and make breakfast I see a fun day ahead, still full of work although at the same time feels like a holiday. That's why I painted the plates to sort of be a pool, the bottle to be reminiscent of a palm tree and the tiles to either be sky or a hotel. What do you choose to see? This is an appropriation and a moment in time where I looked at my final Dali artwork. For a little while, I was receiving compliments that my work is reminiscent of that of Salvador Dali, I researched him and decided his painting “Suez” is my favourite. I then decided to appropriate it. I found the original quite funny, this is a play on that and perhaps a continual.. Both slightly comical. I then decided I didn’t want to be seen as a copycat and this was the last time I ever looked at any of his artworks. Sometimes I see them in passing and think, yeah we do share a style but I’m not subconsciously copying. This is a painting of a package floating over a hole in the ground, in the desert. I created this small painting to represent hopes and fears, when people have a physical package unexpectedly arrive at their home, people tend to be excited and expect good things. Ironically humans tend to fear the future and what's in store for them.. the unknown bothers people. I'm bouncing off the idea that the unknown future is a package in the form of time and experiences that was specially sent for the individual, but they didn’t order it and don’t know if it’s a good idea to open it. I really enjoyed this artwork! I must have been rephotographing my paintings and had quite a few out. So I decided that I wanted to create a digital artworks out of them and popped them in. I then used my favourite style of road shot, a front on shot and wanted it floating above the ground alongside that new cactus photo I’d taken. This is the result and I ended up painting this artwork as a challenge to see how I’d create it using paint.

This is an artwork I created inspired by the current Australian climate in Sydney. All the surrounding bushed are burning down and the sun is red, often. At the time of painting this we were in a drought and the fires were running wild, smoke from the mountains were reaching Sydney. The burning tree being watched over by the cow represents the acceptance of how our world seems to be burning down, there seems to be no change besides throwing money in areas which aren't currently working, evidently. This artwork is a representation of a thought I once had on musicians, organising sounds to make music. I created the artwork to have the shelves look like a Logic file, the melting can be perceived how the viewer sees it; a puddle or a hole./n/nI wasn’t sure about the execution of this artwork as some things didn’t go to plan when painting it, however someone out there, in Malaysia loved it and snapped it up! This is an artwork I created out of despise for people purchasing canvas prints. You can see a bulldozer dumping identical canvas prints into a pit with a tree influencing that and setting it a light. Canvas prints are made of plastic and MDF, they're built to be disposable and I don't consider them art. The economy pours so much money into this fast-turning-trash and I'm not convinced it's because the consumers see meaning in these “abstract” prints of splotches. I believe canvas prints contribute considerably to the yearly trash load and play a huge part in creating a tough environment for artists to thrive. This is not one of my hand stretched artworks, nor framed, although is ready to hang. Oil based.

My first cactus artwork was a hit and people encouraged me to create more, of the same… After a while I learnt that people who aren’t artists have very bad marketing ideas, you reading this are no exception. But I gave it a go as well as another artwork, ‘Fate’ which turned out quite cute. This one is an alternate universe where the cactus has the ability to dodge the event that was fated to happen, kind of similar to when people do everything to to and avoid an event that makes them learn something the hard way. This artwork is a wall of cactus spikes which looks out to an ocean, I named it boundaries because sometimes people get in their own way. It’s easy to set your standard to high and never achieve them for the sake of proving yourself right that you couldn’t achieve the goal. It’s interesting how people do this.
