This is an artwork I thought up while creating the previous digital artwork where I’d use a tool in Photoshop to smudge the colours of all the layers and add saturation to create a 60’s style colour mess. Now that I’m using Affinity Photo I needed to recreate this but without the tool but figure out how to make the pixels do that myself. This was successful and that’s the pattern you see behind the zebra stripes. Alongside that I wanted to add a wild mane and coffee pouring in a really straight fashion. The artwork turned out very close to what I imagined, goal accomplished!

Recently before creating this artwork a thunder storm happened where I photographed the lightning and the main goal was to create an artwork around the lightning, instead, that didn’t happen and I created a piano artwork based off my previous artwork ‘No Zebra’s here’. Definitely check out the making of the artwork video to see how it unfolded.
