Every now and then I’m in the mood to make an artwork out of my bikes. I kind of wanted them to look like they’re in motion with light trails and this is how it ended up.

This is a memorable artwork! Mainly because the file became half corrupt when I wrapped it up. I was so proud of what I’d made and I couldn’t simply open it to adjust some things before finishing it. The idea behind this is that I wanted to create a chain out of my motorbike, through the wheels. I think I did a decent job. It’s also in a colouring in book if you want to have a go at making the artwork yourself.

I love how this artwork turned out! I took this photo before I changed my sleeping schedule to something that suits me and my art more. So when this was taken I was up as the sun rose and had the opportunity to take a photo of my living room in this lighting. From there I’d mastered clouds and wanted to make it a real fairytale, the way that I felt when I saw the photo I’d taken.

You may have come across this artwork looking for a giraffe, when I showed people the artwork in real life I definitely sensed some confusion. The giraffe is abstract, and the magic of abstract art is that the next person sees something different to you, if it’s real abstract art as opposed to splotches dumped on a canvas. It reminds me of a giraffe because when I work on my giraffe in my digital artworks I’ve reached the point where I cut out all the giraffe spots individually and paste them back with a different colour or some sort of alteration. This painting just happened, I started painting and originally wanted just a pear in an ocean… Then it just worked out the way it did. So I call it “unexpected” as it shows as a metaphor as well. Later on I ended up recreating this artwork in a few speed rounds of busking and an Art Battle. This is a painting I call “Notified”, it's my phone lock screen and shows the notifications falling. In Australia from 2019-2020 I've noticed that lighting up my phone to see the notifications was often met with seeing a scrollworthy list of updates from the news about the current disaster. Perhaps Aussies have been desensitised to the amount of deaths that casually pop up on our screens. I eventually became someone who doesn’t have apps on my phone and looking back at this artwork, it’s interesting to see the complicated trail of events that lead to it. This artwork is hand-stretched, oils and hooks will be attached on sale.

I originally wanted to paint a house floating from the mountain and then decided to change it, this is the outcome. This artwork is one of my smallest ones which makes it a tad trickier to execute with the same level of detail as a larger artwork, in the end I think it turned out quite sweet! This is one of my earlier giraffe artworks and I wanted to include both giraffe photos I have. I also wanted to play with the idea of giraffe height so I created a pool in the sky and then visiting it. When I completed it I couldn’t decide on a colour scheme being day or dusk so I just made Both available.

One day I was sent a video of an artist making a painting using a bicycle, naturally as a competitive person, I wanted to make one blindfolded. So this is it. It's a sky that's cut like a diamond. I placed three staples on the edges as markers of where to paint and all the colours are also done blind folded. I think this artwork hits home harder for residents in Melbourne. The buyer ended up being from there. When I paint cacti I like to think of them of versions of people and I’m really proud of how this one turned out. At the time, COVID had hit and we were all required to wear masks out in public. Some people inferred that at ini your car with all your windows up too, studies also show it didn’t make a difference and anyone with an opposing opinion was silenced. So whether you see this as the cactus was silenced or the cactus wants to wear the mask it’s up to you. Interestingly, I had a few besties there that were consecutively vegans. I’m not though, I sit in the camp of meat in every meal please or it’s not a meal. I’d also always wanted a cow hide since first moving out and until I managed to afford a few I had a fake one. Then when my real ones manifested themselves I’d proudly announce there’s a cow hide in the room. Some friends wont step on it and that’s where our opinions differ, I see it as the circle of life and it’s a waste to now use the hide. So this is where the artwork comes in, it’s the circle of life. I think we’ve all unknowably been there. Similar to some other night time artworks, I struggled with the night time background for a while and I’m not sure I’ve fully mastered it yet. I remember pulling over to take a few photos for this artwork and I assumed no one was paying attention. A moment later a man asks me if I’m okay or selling my car? No… Had to pause and make some art… You know. So the artwork’s background is the actual shot, more black than dark blue that I now think would be more suitable for my artworks. The rest is just me playing around seeing how the artwork would play out with a flying car.

You never know what’s going on in someone’s life when you meet them. We also live in a culture where online presence plays a big factor in keeping up with the Joneses. I wanted to paint the idea that in many cases someones putting up an image of squeaky clean perfect duck and underneath the water is actually a bunch of brown feathers frantically paddling away keeping things together. This artwork is a close friends favourite, it really resonates with her and she ended up snapping it up. She would always look at it and cross her fingers it ended up in her home and it eventually did! Every time I look up this artwork in my files I never find it. Past me titled this artwork “Couch Hole”. I hope that sheds some light on the transformation this artwork went through then eventually landed here. I remember somewhat wanting to pop my couch in the ocean, then from there that lead into making a geometric hole in the ocean, then I guess it didn’t look right and here we are. I think this one is much more coherent, considering my artworks are surreal in general.

Sometimes when I create a digital artwork I create many versions or save a version before changing it and in some cases I can’t decided which one I want to sell. Usually I’ll just throw any suitable version up because after a few years of sales I see that my taste isn’t everyone’s taste and the art lovers often choose artworks I would have never guessed. When creating this artwork I wanted to use my black an white portrait photo but mix it with the challenge of turning it gold, digitally and also add a painting in it as well. I guess I went in loaded wth ideas for this one and I’m not sure I hit the mark! These are the results. Definitely funky.

This is an appropriation of the artwork 'The Guitar Player' by Jean-Baptiste Greuze 1755-60 71 x 56cm. I haven't seen the original in real life although managed to copy most of it from a small book. The appropriation is based on the object that the guitar player is holding, in the original he holds an actual guitar and in my appropriation he holds a computer with Logic Pro X open which shows tracks; differentiating between then and now. I wanted an artwork with an umbrella floating around. I guess a Merry Poppins kind of idea. I struggle with my digital artworks at night though and this is one of those that I look back at and wonder if I hit the mark. However art is subjective! I ran a kickstarter to launch my colouring in books and gave people the option to choose which digital artwork they wanted printed and this was one woman’s choice. It’s really fascinating to me to see the artworks people choose! I guess it did hit the mark for some.

This painting is for all the optimists out there. When I wake up and make breakfast I see a fun day ahead, still full of work although at the same time feels like a holiday. That's why I painted the plates to sort of be a pool, the bottle to be reminiscent of a palm tree and the tiles to either be sky or a hotel. What do you choose to see? This is an appropriation and a moment in time where I looked at my final Dali artwork. For a little while, I was receiving compliments that my work is reminiscent of that of Salvador Dali, I researched him and decided his painting “Suez” is my favourite. I then decided to appropriate it. I found the original quite funny, this is a play on that and perhaps a continual.. Both slightly comical. I then decided I didn’t want to be seen as a copycat and this was the last time I ever looked at any of his artworks. Sometimes I see them in passing and think, yeah we do share a style but I’m not subconsciously copying. This artwork was surprisingly well received! It features in my colouring in book if you’re in the mood to create your own version. I decided I was in the mood to create a sea of moons melting at night. Night artworks are tricky though, compared to my day time ones they lack something. It’s not something I’ve mastered yet, in my opinion. However I’ve been told by more than a handful of people they love it, unprompted. So I guess that’s how it lands!

This artwork was created as part of the mini series with cactuses. The cactus is skin coloured and the paint pouring from the sky now turns into flowers as it lands on the cactus. I call it “Special Edition” because, based on the idea that the other painting, Trauma, was based on living through situations, this is the variation where the subject thrives in the environment and turns the paint to flowers, metaphorically turning a bad situation to a wonderful one, they're the special edition. I wanted a quirky artwork for this. In 2019 I’d taken a photo of an elephant at the zoo and used it in a few artworks and for some reason elephants at the circus were on my mind. So from there I decided to create an elephant high-wire in your average landscape. The legs took some manipulating and I do enjoy how it turned out.

This is a painting of a package floating over a hole in the ground, in the desert. I created this small painting to represent hopes and fears, when people have a physical package unexpectedly arrive at their home, people tend to be excited and expect good things. Ironically humans tend to fear the future and what's in store for them.. the unknown bothers people. I'm bouncing off the idea that the unknown future is a package in the form of time and experiences that was specially sent for the individual, but they didn’t order it and don’t know if it’s a good idea to open it. I really enjoyed this artwork! I must have been rephotographing my paintings and had quite a few out. So I decided that I wanted to create a digital artworks out of them and popped them in. I then used my favourite style of road shot, a front on shot and wanted it floating above the ground alongside that new cactus photo I’d taken. This is the result and I ended up painting this artwork as a challenge to see how I’d create it using paint.

This artwork is when the bubble started to burst for me about when you realise that nepotism and appearance play a huge factor in the way the government runs. The individuals want to be voted in, bbcuase that’s their livelihood so they do things that make them look noble and favour people who can prop them up, financially and through status instead of doing what would run a country in the most fair manner. This was painted during the 2019 fires, I noticed that the most preventative measures were taken in the areas where the more “important” people lived. I was in the city and didn’t have a care that my place was goign to burn down because the government had decided that the area I live in was a no-go zone for the fire. But having volunteered for the rural fire brigade I saw my old friends working overtime to save these other areas. The Rural fire Service isn’t linked to the fire brigade, they do entirely different and unpaid work. Thought continued… Anyway, I decided to paint politics, where some parts are propped up because they’re “more important” and others are left to fend for themselves. When starting this artwork I wanted to use my giraffe photo again, however I wanted it to be different and decided it would be cool to cut it in half and have the giraffe split through the artwork. Once I put it together it didn’t sit right and my skill level at the time decided that melting the giraffe would help. I ended up with this artwork. I’m not sure I hit the mark but I know that art is subjective and there will be someone who really connects with it.

This was an interesting artwork to create, I wanted to create something that had a new photo of my new cactus I’d bought and photographed. Once I cut out the cactus ready to use, I found it more realistic than my other photos, it had a different look, most likely because I hadn’t had two artworks prior to this to manipulate it a bit and work it in. From there I set up the background and wanted a portal to a different world and this is the result. The first print that sold of this artwork (that material is now discontinued) came with a story about how the artwork matched the new owners poem he’d written. To him it’s as if he made the story and I made the visual and together he now has his imagination come to life.

This is an artwork I created during the 2019 fires. Australia was burning down and the politics was only starting to heat up (compared to the unrest in the following decade). Then you’d tune into news from other parts of the wold and they’d be frozen or flooding. I found it interesting that the topic was environmental and how politics can fix it but it’s just nature going through it’s larger seasons, and it just happens to be extreme ends for different parts of the world. This is one of a few New Years artworks I’d created, similar to my Christmas artwork, I was part of a digital artists group on Instagram who always created something to match the festive theme of the time. I took part quite a few times but it didn’t end up sticking with me. At the time of making this I’d been surrounded by digital artists on instagram that all kept up with each other and they would always make a special artwork for the current holiday or social trend. It didn’t end up being my thing as I always aimed at the artworks being more personal than that but I gave it a go. This is a Christmas themed artwork.

This is a digital artwork I created from photos that appear in older artworks and new ones. I photographed the road for my ‘Alpaca Rd’ artwork and reuse it here, from there I wanted to create the cube, flat earth look and changed the lighting and perspective so the ground drops off in a geometric way. From there I wanted parts of the artwork to be raised, similar to my Elephant artwork and a painting named ‘Politics’. Once I reached that point I needed some subjects and I was fostering a pack of kittens at the time that I named after famous red heads, Rupert Grint, Pauline Hanson and Ed Sheeran. I took photos of them and here they are! The final result reminded me of Mine Craft so that’s the title there.

This is an artwork I created inspired by the current Australian climate in Sydney. All the surrounding bushed are burning down and the sun is red, often. At the time of painting this we were in a drought and the fires were running wild, smoke from the mountains were reaching Sydney. The burning tree being watched over by the cow represents the acceptance of how our world seems to be burning down, there seems to be no change besides throwing money in areas which aren't currently working, evidently.
