Everything Melts

$600.00

51 x 1.5cm
x 40.5cm

13h 4m

A million years ago in science class it stuck with me that the teacher emphasised how everything melts with time. He specified that even glass melts, as the bottom will be wider than the top a hundred years from now. Super interesting fact! Makes me think of it every time I come across a video where someone hunts down fossils inside rocks, the imprint of the living thing is interesting as I imagine the process of the living thing became stone. So I began this artwork wanting to paint the ground, the dirt, blue to resemble water, and instead it just began to resemble water. Then I included rain the way I like to paint rain, as sheets of clear blue, and a melting/ evaporating moon. If you check out the time lapse or opinionated video of the making you’ll see that I added other items then decided less is more for this artwork. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Story

$300.00

50 x 1.7cm
x 40cm

4h 37m

This is one of my twenty-one artworks in twenty-one days. I’m not proud of this one and I didn’t time manage well at all. But it’s here and ready for its new home. I’ll try again one day. The concept for this one was to make an artwork that tells a story, which I think it does do. The way ‘Hotel California’ or ‘Hazard’, or any of Bosch artwork’s tell stories, so I whipped out my tarot deck and decided to paint three cards. I rushed it so this is the result. I wanted to include three different clouds and areas as if the protagonist is either returning or venturing out and looking back. The story is up to you. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Busking Acrylic Painting

$200.00

86 x 3cm
x 64.5cm

0h 0m

This is an artwork I recently made while busking, I decided I wanted to paint busking, while busking. The pathway is the people passing by, the water is the fountain behind me and I wanted to turn the crossing into thoughts (of bubbles). The goal was to incorporate ideas from old artworks like the water from, ‘Unexpected’, the crossing from ‘Crossing the Desert’ but to my surprised I thought up a new idea while painting in front of people and decided to put the cowhide pattern on the bubbles. If I were alone painting I would have ventured further into this idea so expect it to pop up in an artwork soon. A woman didn’t read the room and sat to my right for longer than I liked and that’s why the right is more bare than the left. I’ve decided not to varnish the artwork as I’m not sure if I want to paint over it since it’s made of acrylic and I prefer oils. The artwork’s concept was also compromised due to busking conditions so it’s not as finished as I’d liked. Video of the busking adventure on my Patreon if you’re interested! There’s no timelapse of this artwork but there will be an artventure video. I’ve also decided that this is the first of an idea I’ll work on for the next year, one budget friendly artwork a month. I price my artworks so people won’t feel compelled to throw them out when their decor changes (and increasing skill), so if you buy one of the budget friendly artworks please show the same respect as if you bought it for $700. The rest will be on cardboard, like Edvard Munch’s Scream. This one will be varnished on sale so expect a week delay for postage, it’ll be sold with a certificate of authentication and ready to hang.

The Pyramid Mystery

$650.00

50 x 1.7cm
x 40cm

18h 30m

I recently entered the pyramid rabbit hole, long story short, these are not tombs. It began as I find other peoples point of view interesting so I let conspiracy theories (or just regular theories that the mainstream labels to lower their credibility) enter my YouTube feeds and I think it included a mix of my electronics searches because I came across a pyramid generator theory by Chris Dunn. The entire topic is fascinating and has merit so I don’t think my painting reflects all the ideas I came across but I wanted to paint something pyramid. One point that I want to share, through art, is that we seem to under the mainstream impression that Egypt has always been a desert but there’s water erosion marks all over the Sphinx. Water plays a big part in a lot of the science explaining alternate histories. The pyramids generator theory is pretty complicated but I started the painting when learning about the aquifers part of the theory which is the very beginning of the generator theory, so I painted the pyramid of water. I also wanted to reflect two older artworks named, ‘Priorities’ and ‘Priorities 2’. The artwork wasn’t very planned out but as I continued to paint I put in plenty of effort into the spikes, also referencing my recent artwork ‘Thinking Things Up’ I learnt about the mystery of the tunnels that lead under the Sphinx so I added those into it. At some point I wanted to add more, then another point I decided to keep it simple and make more artworks to share the ideas. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

The Hallucination

$600.00

40 x 1.7cm
x 30cm

18h 3m

One day I was colouring in my colouring in book and felt an ant crawling on my hand, I then looked again and it was gone. You could say it jumped off or something, but I went down a thought trail and wondered if the ant was ever there in the first place? I had just read a book, ‘Genius, The Natural History of Creativity’ by H. J. Eysenck which explains that studies show more creative people tend to sit closer on the scale to psychosis. So wondering whether I’m immune to this trend was on my mind, if I am, am I not even that creative? Is the creativity a hallucination too? I continued the thought alongside this fresh new insight on psychology, it’s possible I imagined the ant… It’s possible I’m imagining everything around me. You could be insane and never know it. I shared the thought with a friend, she added we might not even be friends and either of us could be sitting there alone talking to ourselves. Then you add the reality that reality is just warped to your perspective and what you engage with. So if nothing’s real, then everything’s real and there’s no such thing as anything. From there I decided to paint the ants. I painted my hand but they’ve opened up a rabbit hole for me so I painted holes in the hands where birds fly in and out, like the birds in my artworks. I decided nothing’s real so the table turns into an ocean and some boats seem to be on struggle street knocked over. Then you’ll see that turns into a wave of water and travels into the distance. I tried making the room warp at the edges and the clouds sit as a pendant inside. The birds on the window are a reference to my digital artwork ‘Cockatoo’s at My Window’ This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Thinking Things Up

$1,050.00

60 x 3cm
x 60cm

53h 19m

This is the first artworks I painted after my 80 artworks in 79 days. After that challenge I had a new way of managing my time which allowed me to focus on the details of my artworks more than before. The idea is to create an artwork purely based on imagination instead of making a point. I also wanted to paint an artwork that I couldn't easily do with a computer. I began this artwork as a challenge to create a painting similar to my digital artworks as my digital artworks have a different style to my paintings. I've tried this many times and it's something I haven't mastered. This one however turned out much better. I believe there are aspects here that I couldn't have done with a computer, as my brother once said "you can do anything with paint, but you can't on a computer". I find this to be true. I love these spiky waters I first created in my painting, 'Devils Lake', and want to make more. This time without a harsh context but an unknown substance as the topic. From there I intended to paint the rabbits floating out of the spikes in bubbles. This probably didn't convey. Rabbits because the 80 artworks felt like a total 11 week long rabbit hole! I intentionally wanted to paint horses in positions you wont be able to photograph, then merging into the fabric of the boat where a face hides (the head of your imagination) and the boat travels through dropping fabric that resemble limbs of the statues I painted in the past. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Raffe Popper

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

2h 50m

This is the final digital artwork of my 80 artworks project! So I decided to create a giraffe as a party popper. This idea was sparked by my ‘Doughnut Town’ and in the future I continue these tiny things in digital artworks. This is still my favourite of them.

Moon Boss

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

1h 44m

I decided to create this artwork during my 80 artworks challenge and in my surroundings sat my painting ‘Watching the Boats Sail Past’ which shows a bunch of boats which are doughnuts. I’ve tried plenty of times in the past to either paint a digital artwork or digitally create a painting and they never work out, the two genres are different. So here I am trying again! This ended up entirely different yet they both look good enough for me to feature though doughnut boats again. They still don’t cross over, I just now have two entirely different styles of doughbots, I’m not sure if this is the most successful attempt to cross over the genres either. The final artwork reminds me of a video game and the boss is a moon. Check out the art venture video of this one, there’s more documented on the making there.

Raining Laser Fruit

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

1h 58m

This is a digital artwork I created out of curiosity in what it would look like raining laser fruit. I also wanted to create something using the big wave, a night time scene and my fruit images. This was the final result which soon turns into another artwork.

Watching the Boats Sail Past

$500.00

60 x 3cm
x 33cm

3h 57m

I created this artwork during an art challenge of mine (this week involved ten artworks) and as I looked through a book of artworks I own I saw a seascape with boats and appreciated how serene the artwork looked and wanted one of my own. Naturally, doing a surreal twist. Prior to this in my previous weeks challenge (also ten artworks) I used ones of my doughnuts in a digital artwork and then glanced over at a boat and decided the two need to merge. I’m glad I made a painting of this before a digital piece as these turned out exactly as I aimed. I also wanted to reference an older painting I created, ‘Unexpected’ as I loved painting that artwork. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Bicycle Feather Wheel

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

3h 35m

This is a digital artwork I originally intended to create a bicycle with car parts, this didn't work out and this is how it ended up.

Chair Fire

$20.00

20 x 0.1cm
x 20cm

0h 0m

Speaker

$100.00

41.5 x 2cm
x 42cm

3h 42m

After purchasing a speaker it looked like a canvas so I popped a painting on it, I like to use pink in my music paintings because pink is the colour of a high pitched sound for me, the flamingo dances it's way through the speaker and turns up the sound while the knob drips down some music to create a glass pear. The flamingo then reappears at the front to what I like to think of the spots as the next song. The material is much thicker than canvas and more difficult to paint on so I currently have no plans to do that again. The priming involved some gesso (as it should!) so the sound turned out muffled so I've taken it off as it's own artwork and repurposed an old frame. Note that I'm not a professional frame maker... Sold with s certificate of authenticity and hooks ready to hang.

Happiness

$300.00

60 x 0cm
x 30cm

3h 20m

I was in another rabbit hole for this artwork, half concept, half skill test. I’d just understood how to create a cube like earth through my digital artworks and wanted to carry it onto a painting. That plus a concept I’d been trying out. I’m really happy with my career choice and it’s the best. I really like people who like their jobs or careers since that one choice will make your life a whole lot easier, so I like to ask people about their work and see how they speak about it. That and other parts of life. I ended up deciding that you’re the water and the balloons in this artwork come from the water (as a surreal painting does). You’re in charge of how much happiness your choices generate. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Faded Memories

$490.00

65.5 x 1.7cm
x 47.5cm

6h 15m

This painting was originally meant to have balloons shaped as items which spark memories, that didn't happen. The balloons are pumping themselves up from the protagonists hand, releasing themselves and passing through the glass.. The glass represents the gateway to the past and how so many memories are let go, without spite and they all end up pleasant to look at from afar. The artwork ended up going to a woman who saw something entirely different here. She had a dream that her son who had passed visited her in a space just like this. For her it’s a reminder her son is still around. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Rona Rainbow

$250.00

60 x 3cm
x 60cm

4h 45m

This artwork was a challenging artwork, recently before beginning I’d fallen into a mini monochrome rabbit hole, seeing the wonderful ideas that could be conveyed through monochrome, but you need to do it right to be affective. I’m not sure I aced it with this one. At the time COVID was also going on and everyone was oddly segregated, I think it settled in a sense of division within the culture (at least in the main cities of Australia) for at least the following six years. I painted the rainbow but separated… It’s not really a rainbow anymore and can’t be appreciated as such. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Cooking (Malk)

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

1h 25m

When deciding what to create with my next digital artwork I decided I wanted to create a mini scene in the kitchen with what I had. There’s also an inside joke here, “malk” for those who knew Julian Smith around 2010. It reminds me of sleeping beauty just a bit, I also specifically added the eggs on the clouds as I was going for something there.

Frank

$500.00

48 x 2cm
x 48cm

4h 10m

I use the word frank as an adjective. Sometimes, when someone’s being frank they may come to a conclusion without having full thought through the idea or researched the topic and often encounter people who tell me they “don’t get art” and to them a painting on a wall may as well be a black hole for money, which to be frank, is quite a statement to tell someone about their career. Yet to me it’s ironic that people can appreciate the beauty of the rest of the world around them, just not value an idea being presented as an image. It’s interesting, so that’s what I painted. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Float Boats

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

4h 0m

I like to adventure to take photos for my digital artworks. One of those adventures was to West Head, NSW and I photographed some boats. I wanted to make the a bit interesting, like a bottle boat idea, but surreal. It ended up taking quite a while and this is the result.

Climb

$600.00

35 x 2cm
x 30cm

5h 5m

In the concept of this artwork I took the saying of things turning “pear shaped” literally. My intention is for the pears to express how the journey of each small progress in my career goes pear shaped so often, but each obstacle in each of those tiny goals is a learning curve that I needed. So I pelt the pears at the ladder. The painting was then followed up by a sequel, they're sold together. The sequel is the ladder being dinged around by the pears and the climb continues. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Surrender

$700.00

60 x 1.7cm
x 50cm

4h 0m

This is a painting I thought of while listening to the song 'White Flag' by Dido. The main part of the painting is a sunken sail which takes the shape of a white flag not catching wind, I made it to represent a fallen relationship while the other boats sail in the clouds. Turned out to be a pretty grim painting although it doesn't seem to reflect my perception at the moment, I think it’s pretty nice. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Road Lasers

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

1h 50m

This is a digital artwork I made from two photos I've taken around Sydney.

Underwater Livingroom

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

This was partially a challenge artwork, I wanted to know how I’d go about executing an underwater scene in my living room. There was also a cactus I’d just bought and wanted it in an artwork. To whip out this final piece I had to really move some things around to get the right shots. This is how it turned out!

Giraffe Waterfall

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 55m

This artwork derives from the idea that I’ve played around with in a few artworks, the earth being shaped in a sharp geometric 90º angle. This time I wanted to see how I’d go with adding a beach style water on it as opposed to cutting an ocean or a road. Turns out it’s not that difficult! From there I wanted to include my giraffe as if it’s entering our dimension from another or in a waterfall.

Bike Chain

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

This is a memorable artwork! Mainly because the file became half corrupt when I wrapped it up. I was so proud of what I’d made and I couldn’t simply open it to adjust some things before finishing it. The idea behind this is that I wanted to create a chain out of my motorbike, through the wheels. I think I did a decent job. It’s also in a colouring in book if you want to have a go at making the artwork yourself.

Shoe Crossing

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

I had a pair of shoes I really liked and I wanted to make an artwork out of them. So with these new photos alongside a crossing photo I took and some moons I put this together. As if you’re walking along a floating crossing over the water.

Cray Ladder

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

3h 0m

Sometimes when I create a digital artwork I create many versions or save a version before changing it and in some cases I can’t decided which one I want to sell. Usually I’ll just throw any suitable version up because after a few years of sales I see that my taste isn’t everyone’s taste and the art lovers often choose artworks I would have never guessed. When creating this artwork I wanted to use my black an white portrait photo but mix it with the challenge of turning it gold, digitally and also add a painting in it as well. I guess I went in loaded wth ideas for this one and I’m not sure I hit the mark! These are the results. Definitely funky.

Melting Moons

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

1h 10m

This artwork was surprisingly well received! It features in my colouring in book if you’re in the mood to create your own version. I decided I was in the mood to create a sea of moons melting at night. Night artworks are tricky though, compared to my day time ones they lack something. It’s not something I’ve mastered yet, in my opinion. However I’ve been told by more than a handful of people they love it, unprompted. So I guess that’s how it lands!

Money Tree

$700.00

40 x 3cm
x 50cm

2h 45m

This artwork is representative of how people spend their money, I find that majority of people my age (I was roughly mid-20’s, millennial) use loans as their savings account instead of actually saving, their money tree would be a tap straight down into the ground and this is how I wanted to paint that. This artwork is oil based, isn’t one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Back Burn

$150.00

40 x 3cm
x 50cm

3h 0m

This is an artwork I created during the 2019 fires. Australia was burning down and the politics was only starting to heat up (compared to the unrest in the following decade). Then you’d tune into news from other parts of the wold and they’d be frozen or flooding. I found it interesting that the topic was environmental and how politics can fix it but it’s just nature going through it’s larger seasons, and it just happens to be extreme ends for different parts of the world. This artwork is oil based, isn’t one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Media

$660.00

42 x 4cm
x 42cm

0h 0m

This artwork was inspired by the way media interprets stories and collectively promote one end when in real life there are always many sides to the story. The artwork is a 90's television with the colour bars pouring into the ocean (into the real world) and two alternate perspectives. This artwork consist of three small, oil based, canvases, 30.5cm each, and isn't one of my hand-stretched artworks. They will come ready to hang.

Sometimes you follow advice from people who aren’t artists and have no idea what they’re advising but they’re older than you so you give it a go. I’ve learnt my lesson. The advice? “Paint it again it was so good!, Make more.” I’m not a decor artist and that’s what’s great about a painting, you don’t do it again. I took the advice and twisted it a bit however that stripped the artwork of its concept. You’ll see a few where I painted close ups. I wanted them to be a set with the original, ‘Stacking Oceans’ but that doesn’t really stand up in reality. Someone buys the artwork because they want that, if they were into decor art they wouldn’t be buying my artwork. So this one and the other close up didn’t follow the main man, I aimed to show that there could be a whole new world in the artwork if you’d zoomed in. Kind of like those vector artwork videos where people start off with a scene then create one around t and so on then record the zoom out for the clicks. The original zoomed out artwork is about the destruction of canvas prints, both on artists careers and to the environment. Don’t buy a canvas print. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Giraffe Wall

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

This is one of my super first polished off giraffe artworks, I remember the screen recording on instagram for this one was a hit, watching the spots get cut out and cleaned up. I wanted a really funky artwork of the giraffe and this artwork is probably the first where you see my current style that I settled on shining through.

Pharaoh Heaven

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

I was really proud of this artwork, it took some effort to create the pyramids out of water and I specifically took the photo of the intercom for this one. It definitely turned out a bit different to my other artworks but I enjoy it! If you want to have a go at making a version of you own I printed it in my original colouring in book. Completed on Nov 13,2019

Slanty Ocean Mess

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

I wanted to create an artwork with an ocean and some fire in it, then as I brought in the photo of the land and worked with the water I decided I just want it to look a bit messy and from there made it slanted and a tad chaotic.

Stacking Oceans

$600.00

75 x 3.5cm
x 75cm

6h 0m

After creating my ‘Photoshop Moses’ artwork I wanted to create another but differently and plays with illusions. The concept behind it is the imbalance of climate. It’s interesting how one part of the world will be flooding and another will be in drought, it makes you think about that argument of asking water when people say “I’ll end up back in the ocean anyway” This artwork is oil based, isn’t one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Road River

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

1h 8m

I’m a big fan of those middle of the road shots! I’ve used my photo from the Royal National Park before and decided to use it again in this artwork. I then felt like adding water that I photographed from Vaucluse to create this.

Chair Fire

Price range: $360.00 through $2,200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

I got myself a new chair and decided I’m photographing it, building up a library of items I can use in my digital artworks. From there I decided it would be a funky idea to have the chairs stacking and on fire, so that’s how this artwork came to be.

Carbon Footprint

$670.00

60 x 3cm
x 60cm

0h 0m

This was another challenge artwork to see how well I could execute painting a digital artwork of mine. I think I did alright but it’s still a challenge in general because we’re comparing pixels vs paint. I titled it ‘Carbon Footprint’ because sometimes to be seen as an artist you need to play into the current social agenda, we are always asked to tick boxes what social issue that is currently popular we believe in. Once you do then your artwork is deemed fit to be shared in specific spaces where it has higher visibility. It’s a sad side of being an artist, it encourages people to become sell-outs. At the time I wanted my artworks in competitions, not realising yet it’s who you know. So I had to title it something that gave meaning to environmental issues. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Focus

$300.00

46 x 3cm
x 46cm

0h 0m

Before this artwork I created one underneath it, then rage quit and painted this one. My previous artwork was a woman sailing away from an island and I called it ‘Leaving’ because I realised I’d grown differently to my friends and didn’t fit in anymore. Instead, I didn’t like it and kept the mountain then split it and called it ‘Focus’ because I’m super focused on realising my goals as an artist. Still working on it!

Ocean Cubes

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

This is a digital artwork I created from a few photos I took at Vaucluse, The Gap, then edited so that it looks like the earth is a cube, added some psychedelic colours and a ladder on fire.

Vaucluse

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 42m

During one of my adventures to The Gap, Vaucluse I took a couple photos, then in this artwork I decided to merge them and see where it goes.

Tidal Wave

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

After heading off to West Head to grab photos of the view I decided I wanted a tidal wave artwork, so this is what I ended up creating. It was a challenge, especially with my skill level at the time.

Right after a girl tried to stand as a bridge over the pool she fell is, promptly jumped out (winter) and I got my money shot of the pool with no one in it.

I’ve managed to accrue some Max Brenner cups over the years and I decided I wanted to use one in an artwork. In 2017 I reflected on a previous artwork I created with a forest in a cup and it must have been the trend or my algorithms at the time and I saw how other people were tackling theirs. I wanted to create another as the first wasn’t well executed to to image size.
