Cravings

$1,150.00

35.5 x 3cm
x 50.5cm

4h 28m

This is one of my 80 artworks and every now and then I decide to paint something I would have or couldn’t create through digital art. I use a few doughnuts in my digital artworks so following my ‘Watching the Boats Sail Past’ I still wanted to paint doughnuts. So I painted a woman craving doughnuts, looking into the mirror and seeing a doughnut back. Her dress is glaze and I decided to replace items around the place with doughnuts. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Tap and Cloth

$500.00

35 x 3cm
x 40cm

This is an artwork I made during my 80 and one where I decided to channel a much older painting, ‘Surrender’ which I really like since it makes me feel like I’ve teleported somewhere else. That idea, alongside also wanting to turn the sail from the other artwork into a tap, as if it’s making it’s way into this painting through a tap that I used in my painting ‘On tap’. I feel like I achieved the goal for this one. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Hanging in There

$400.00

31 x 3cm
x 46cm

This was one of my final 9 apaintings from the 80 artworks project, I decided to paint a bird out of practicality for the time constraint and I also wanted to paint a bird, like a previous artwork ‘Flock Party’, since I haven’t in a while. One that’s in a position you’d be lucky to have photographed… only executed through painting in some capacity. I also wanted to paint something which the viewer needed to think about, how it’s hanging onto a cloud and what is the cloud to each person? There’s a small reference to that cat poster “Hang in there”. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.
