This is an idea that came into mind when painting my painting, ‘Death of the Rock Piano’ where I looked at my digital artwork using a piano where I changed the colours and decided I should create another with zebra stripes, then since I already created a piece with a stripy giraffe I thought I’d include that and just turn it black and white. This didn’t look like zebra stripes so I ventured on to create stripes which resemble the actual pattern and this is the outcome.

This is a digital artwork I created originally with another idea in mind however as I created it I ended up with holes in the giraffe which then changed my mind to then create a cheese sandwich reminiscent artwork.

Giraffes Channelling Spencer

This is a digital artwork I’d thought about making for a while. When I cut out the giraffes spots a few years back for another artwork I found the giraffe looked naked, like a human. I return to this giraffe for other artworks and when I change the spots into geometric looking spots I think the same. This artwork came to be while making another and just decided to split the file into two and pivot each artwork from that point. I ended up createing a crowd of naked giraffes as a nod to Spencer Tunick. I also worked on teach giraffe looking lik an individual.

This is a digital artwork I created based on two other previous artworks. The mini series began with creating a bird covered in the background pattern, which then evolved into and elephant and the bird. Then I had one more animal I can use, a giraffe. Only this time reshuffling the arrangement.

This is a digital artwork I decided to create based on my new pants at the time. I have some new peacocking pants and now my giraffe matches. I also popped in a thinking cloud intentionally.

I am such a fan of this artwork. It’s the beginning of some extremely funky party animals showing up in my digital artworks and this is where it began. The idea came from me just wondering how tall the animals could stack up to be, I tried to get the perspective right answer remember being surprised the giraffe wouldn’t be bigger. So here it is, some party animals and that’s pretty close to the proportions.

Elephant Tight Rope

I wanted a quirky artwork for this. In 2019 I’d taken a photo of an elephant at the zoo and used it in a few artworks and for some reason elephants at the circus were on my mind. So from there I decided to create an elephant high-wire in your average landscape. The legs took some manipulating and I do enjoy how it turned out.

I've been super organised making my artworks lately and scrolled through my old ones and couldn't help but notice the previous artwork I created just like this although the animals don't have patterns on them like my recent artworks, so I remade it and comparing them definitely made it clear to me that I thought I was good then but in comparison.. I really show up past me.

Melting Giraffe

When starting this artwork I wanted to use my giraffe photo again, however I wanted it to be different and decided it would be cool to cut it in half and have the giraffe split through the artwork. Once I put it together it didn’t sit right and my skill level at the time decided that melting the giraffe would help. I ended up with this artwork. I’m not sure I hit the mark but I know that art is subjective and there will be someone who really connects with it.

Giraffe on a Stroll

I created this painting with the idea in mind that I'll paint a very tall giraffe although aimed to avoid using pink, after painting the giraffe in green it looked like a dinosaur so I had to re-evaluate and landed on pink anyway. Since the giraffe ended up in the outfit it did, the painting ended up becoming much more festive than I expected. I also painted birds to turn into banana's as they fly around the giraffe although feel like that may have been a subconscious link to the birds in Donkey Kong Country 3, a game I played a lot when I was younger. They certainly seemed familiar for some reason! The road mimics an idea I had for a digital artwork created a few years back (roughly 2020) where I took the road lines and turned them into lasers, like this painting. This time I decided that the entire scene needs to be filled with activities so I submerged the road underwater and turned the giraffes head into a sinking balloon. I painted the balloon clear to mimic a state of mind when going for a stroll on a lovely sunny day. Careless, despite any obstacles on the main road of your day. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Positive Disposition

This painting is somewhat a follow-up on some of my digital artworks that I've created based on zoo animals with wheels for feet. As if they're in wheel chairs, there aren't enough artworks representing the disabled in my opinion. The painting is of two single coloured paintings where one is torn down and the other has the giraffes head peeking through it, like a window. The sky then rubs off on the giraffe and leaks into the home as if it represents a positive disposition. After understanding the differences and how society overlooks disabled people, I feel like they generally have a much more cheerful outlook on life than abled people I meet, a rare quality. This is one of my hand-stretched ones, has a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks ready to hang!
