This is another painting form the eleven that I worked on in one week and I began with the idea of a guitar growing plants, I liked this idea since plants grow better when surrounded by music and the impact of music on it's surrounding in general. The painting also has the bow saluting back to the cello, and I couldn't decide whether the blue shape is a window or a reflection of a window from outside of the left of the painting, there's a light source from both. While painting the painting I asked Insta what they thought the painting would turn out to be and my pen pal replied with a cello. After looking up the difference I decided that cello's are more interesting to paint and should probably go with it. This painting has sparked another idea for a future painting. Waiting for the Rain to End

This is a painting I created with the idea to paint the feeling of waiting for the rain to end. I also wanted to create something well executed like a painting I'd made a couple weeks earlier 'Midnight Snack'. By the end of the painting I'd started reading a book on Magritte and found his work a tad sloppy so I felt compelled to work harder on making sure the painting had been polished off. Pears (and cactuses) feature as metaphors for people in my paintings and these pairs wait under a sheet of water acting as a jail by the growing stems and birds emerge from the water since they just live in the water when it rains. I started off this painting with a very different idea in mind although as I worked on it another painting sold and I decided to include a similar elephant from that one and then it took a turn to look much more like my digital artworks. I struggled a bit with the technicalities of this paintings base layer texture. Originally I wanted the bubbles to act as an invisible barrier, although the concept is up to the viewer. I originally imagined this painting without spots and having the birds on a rope carrying off into the distance, out of vision, instead I decided that it would be better painted with the birds on many angles. When I see a flock of birds they always seem like they're having a party, from human standards... when people get together in packs and mingle/ eat it's usually a party so I painted the birds as I see them, festive af. I began painting feet on them and decided against it last minute, as a surrealist the birds don't need to have feet so I made the feet ropes to balloons. Lately my digital artworks have been receiving a bit more attention then my paintings, although fair enough though I've been making some solid ones while experimenting on techniques with my paintings. So I thought I'd channel into the style I create my digital artworks in. I thought turning animals spotty and surreal was easier in digital form. It definitely takes less time, although this reminded me of a statement my brother made something along the lines of being able to do way more with paintings than digital artworks, because all you need is paint. I find that particularly true with this painting as I could work on the fur with much more detail than I could in Photoshop, I also dont have any photo's of pigs in this pose... I also started painting the pig a day and a half before finishing the painting so I wonder how it would turn out if I gave myself more time. Overall, when I watch cooking shows and how they transform the animal products into something entirely unrecognisable and beautiful makes wonder what the other animals of that species would think if they were watching it, this painting reminds me of that. I created this painting based on a digital artwork I created a few weeks prior which was incredibly well received. Knowing that from the past when I paint a digital artwork it doesn’t quite measure up, so this time I painted a different angle and with a new style using harsher gradients which I think made it unique. I call it “Traveller” because when I first looked at it after I'd painted the people in I saw a journey, like one where you travel over seas and other countries look, feel and smell as foreign as a pineapple blowing up to a hot air balloon. Floating on a crossing as if the visit is a dream. Whenever I explain how Bulgaria is to Australians I don't think they ever fully understand how different it is unless they experience going there. This is a surreal painting I started in 2018 and left it for a year then decided to finish it in 2019. It's a bird pulling up or scattering (whichever way you decide to view it) debris on the mountain. The lighting in this painting is reflective of the orange sky and the buildings are shaded with blues and oranges. This is based off of a photo I took from mums friends place in Sofia which over looks the mountain. I decided to paint this artwork after painting a very detailed artwork ‘LLM Lobotomy’ and came away from it thinking I just want to paint blue. While doing my research I decided to paint an arch that you see in many romanticism artworks, probably because of the architecture at the time. Then I decided that I want it in the sky and to just paint the scene you imagined you’d have when you grow up and have all the money in the world. You’d buy those exotic animals and have too many cars so one would always be parked and under cover in your fancy garage in the sky. So that’s what I ended up painting, the future that the child version of you wanted but in reality no one actually wants the obstacles that come with a bunch of extra cars and exotic animals. It’s fun to have it as an artwork though. I enjoyed working on the level of detail in this one compared to my older artworks. I'm embarking on a project to print my darts (digital artworks) in-house. tl;dr to get there I want to offer pre-order prints and below are the aspects of this project so you know what you're buying. Lore: The darts were previously printed on this beautiful pearlescent photo paper but I had to discontinue it because I'm quite the butter fingers and ended up ruining about half before I managed to post them. The profit margin also sat at about $20 each. From there I decided to increase the quality and sell more durable prints which became sublimated metal prints and drove the price up from $50 to $370. I instantly noticed a drop in sales so I can confirm the price is a pain point for the art lovers. Since sales dropped dramatically the digital artworks became more focused towards my colouring in book series and I didn't keep up with the cost of production. A recent sale has now exposed the fact that I'm no longer making 40% of the profits but just 10%, before postage costs. So if you spend $1800AUD including postage (to Florida as an example), I only earn $130, but I still do all the leg work of travelling to Sydney to pickup the print, packing and posting it to you. Solution: Since then I've been researching how to print the files in-house so I can save on production costs. To do this I need to collect about $15,500 in order to purchase two machines, the blanks, the frames and consumables as well as have a seperate circuit wired up here for the machines. I've buffered how much I need for each section by increasing the total a tad so I don't undercut my budget. The machines:

• A heat press: I've chosen a 60cm x 100cm sized heat press due to costs for larger machines becoming exponentially higher. I have found one press that is 100cm x 120cm that is great however this requires three phase and also increases the cost of the electrician as I'll need a different meter and electricity consumption. I'll be looking at this option when my business progresses. Postage may land at about $500 judging by how expensive my artworks may be to post.
• Printer: I require a special sublimation printer with specific ink and I've narrowed my search down to two printers. I'm likely to order the $10,000 Mutoh printer because I like Brother as a printing company, trust their printers and they partner with Mutoh. This is also the most budget friendly printer available in the size I need. There is a second Epson option which costs $14,000 and Epson is known to do sublimation well so if my budget expands Ii'll consider this option. For now I'm going to the Mutoh printer. Postage may land at about a thousand judging by how expensive my artworks are to post.

I watched a movie recently, it wasn’t very good and it were about a struggling writer but it sparked up an idea. Imagine if creative people ran the world? I don’t think I captured the idea in this artwork and instead painted a reflection one the work place. I once had a friend who studied marketing who said to me “One day I’ll be telling you what to do” implying her degree was better than mine. I guess she’s right about how the work place is structured however ask any designer (I’m an artist now) and they’ll tell you they’ve been instructed to execute some pretty terrible ideas. So this is working with the creative… They’re just doing it because, but really, what would you do if the creative just made the design better? I don’t like abstract art. The fact that people use the word “abstract” in so many situations where it doesn’t make sense bothers me, people have said “It’s so abstract!” when looking at my artworks… There is nothing abstract about my paintings, until now. Adding to that I’m upset that there are many decor artists calling themselves abstract artists in order to be treated as a successful artist in the view of sales, however in my point of view it’s very easy to sell decor. A real artwork needs time to be considered before purchasing and speaks to the art lover… Something entirely lost on decor. No, you will not see me throw paint or resin at a canvas for sales. I may however, do it as satire. Since the word ‘abstract’ bothers me so much I decided it’s time I make a real abstract artwork. One where I paint what I see in the form of shapes that don’t necessarily form an object where it would result in a consensus on what it represents, the definition. I painted each item with intent, here lies an apple fallen from an apple tree on a sunny day and music plays. I also definitely want to know what other people see. I’ve noticed western society lives in a culture where people act like they’re on the edge all the time. The Karen. People going around exaggerating any ordinary situation into the worst possible obscure outcome then using it as an example to virtue signal how great they are to want to avoid this potential danger. It’s odd behaviour and it’s contagious. So I painted these people as if they’re blow up toys, all floating around, bouncing off each other. Out the window though is the real world with a little barbed wire in the way. Which is of coarse a sure instant death and much safer to stay crammed in the room daydreaming about potential fears. I also wanted to paint this idea using blow up toys not only as a fitting metaphor but also a personal challenge to see how I’d go painting these. Before this artwork I finished a painting named ‘My Bird Shit’s All Over Naomi’s’ It’s a shot at a woman who calls herself and artist and used the guise of virtue signalling to act racist and create problems for me. I used art to vent my frustrations instead of going online and starting some sort of battle with her. This is what I really like about art, it can be used in so many ways and one of them is a tactile response to real life events. Rappers are known for doing his, Eminem, Kanye. I think it’s funny… Crafting an artwork that makes someone reflect on their actions, or better yet, left in a position where the only worthy response is through art. So I created an artwork that I really wanted to put plenty of detail into now that I’d finished my 80 artworks project. I painted a ditch with a maze like arrangement of pathways fenced around to say “Hey, this is my space, stay out”. Inside, if you can find it is a person walking. They didn’t make it across to the other side. I painted exits that don’t really make sense like a large doorway as if it reaches the sky… but this entire space is underground. Stairs that lead to stairs, a hidden door way and so on. The thought behind the artwork is, don’t enter the labyrinth of an artists domain if you can’t respond using your talents. I also think artists should use their skills more often to make criticisms instead of playing into minority themed art to get ahead. Humans are a communal species. It’s a fact. In the past few years I’ve noticed the increasing hostility in the community, and I’m still figuring out whether it’s the times or whether that’s just what it’s like once you’ve settled into being an adult… The veil of everyone putting on a nice front being gone? Either way, I find it incredibly ironic. I look at nature a lot and see how they all work together. I was watching some birds that seemed to be on the same team but wouldn’t share the food I threw at them. One was just too dumb to recognise the extra piece it put down was exactly what it’s chasing the other bird for. It’s funny that they’re hopping around together but also protecting their bounty like Gollum and his ring.

It’s like people but I think they’re trying to keep their pride instead of a piece of food. So I painted a bunch of jolly looking birds held together by barbed wire. The original plan was to have feet but it didn’t work out, so I mimicked my ‘Flock Party’ painting and included balloons too. The feathers fly about like they do in a bird fight and the intertwined barbed wire drips blood. The Magician

While watching a video about the depths of astrology I noticed one of the astrologers I respect dropped the word “magic” a few times. This lead me into a rabbit hole learning that there’s people who genuinely believe in magic. Not your typical hocus pocus that you see on TV (probably mocking what I’m learning about) but essentially working with the energy you have, as in you can’t wish yourself up to be a billionaire. I found it interesting.

I found it more interesting that these people keep to themselves, essentially the reason you wouldn’t realise you’ve come across someone who believes in magic. I continued on to watch a discussion about the Picatrix. Long story short, I like these people. Far too often I’m confronted with strangers who have nothing better to do than insert themselves in my life and run a muck. So I really appreciate that these people who are into magic keep to themselves. I painted this thought as a row of cactuses, I like to represent people through cactuses. They’re all doing what they do, in this case expected to line up, but the one into magic lines up and focuses on it’s own agenda. This is an artwork I made during my 80 and one where I decided to channel a much older painting, ‘Surrender’ which I really like since it makes me feel like I’ve teleported somewhere else. During my 80 artworks challenge I thought about painting this when pausing to look for inspiration for a digital artwork. I wasn’t inspired by anything the other artists were doing, however I did notice something very sad. One popular artist made a few skits where she aimed to be comical and barely showed the artwork. Another wrote “I’ll show you this painting every day until I sell 100 prints” as he did a manly twirl and bopped around with the artwork. First, don’t sell prints. I’m firmly against prints of paintings. Second… Why would anyone buy that (to give description it were a white Chewbacca looking animal, and well executed). Art isn’t just a pretty picture and no matter how much you dance around or make skits, you’re not giving people a reason to buy the artwork. Neither of these “artists” gave any insight as to why they created it except décor. This really grinded my gears, and once again (like my artwork ‘Call for Shitty Artists’) I’m deeply disappointed to be in the same category. These people are putting minimal effort into the “artworks” and maximum effort into making themselves look good for the social attention. I’m looking forward to the day they give up on calling themselves artists and go with influencer or comic. On the left of this painting is another artist propping himself up in the same water’s I swim in, only he’s using his artworks to prop himself up, stay dry, and not get his hands dirty. On the right is me swimming, trying to keep my artwork out of the water. The artwork is what people need to see, not the artist. This artwork had it’s struggles as I think this might have been the round where I aimed to make either 12 or 14 artworks in that week. Time vs skill came into play here. I do document my art process on a few YouTubes and Patreon but it’s entirely different and unscripted… Kind of like an actual documentation, you know, the 90’s definition. Idiot Nigger Genius

Before you read the description, and since you’re likely reading this online and already seen the title I want you to take part in this artwork and take a moment to decypher the artwork and interpret to make sense in your own way before reading on. I hope you joined in! I really bothers me how we live in such a PC world where all the words ever are being transformed into offensive words, yet people find substitutes to describe what they’re saying anyway. A word cannot be offensive since a word has no intention, it’s just a word. Although the people who continually and collectively decide to use any word in a derogatory manner change it’s definition into something gross. I could write an endless list of words that aren’t socially acceptable until you feel like you’re a woman in the 50’s however I’ll focus on these three. Recently I felt frustrated that the postie couldn’t find the damn front door to deliver my parcels so as I complained I said “no man, he’s just an idiot you need to train him xyz” the person stopped to debate my use of language and it came as a surprise to me I can’t use “idiot” to describe this persons actions. “Idiot” is a person with an IQ below 80, can’t find the door? My statement was factual and not malicious. I also found myself looking up the real definition of autism during my frustration of people confusing geniuses with autism and saw that when autism was first defined they used the words “idiot/ idiot savant” without censoring it, this alongside other books such as ‘Genius, The Natural History of Creativity’ openly use the word “idiot” as factual (and so on). The final word, “genius” has been used incorrectly in so many examples it seems as if no one really knows what a genius is and often label prodigies and people with autism as geniuses. Dangerous territory in my opinion, start labelling a prodigy as a genius and they’ll lose motivation by the time they grow and their peers catch up (therefore not a real genius). Start labelling autistic people who are also prodigies and you see this gross fad of neurotypical people claiming they’re autistic to feel special, I’m disgusted by that behaviour. I didn’t live in the early 1900’s however looking back at artworks from the 1700’s I see paintings of servants and slaves in respectable ways, I genuinely don’t believe that the word “nigger” has always been an insult, only the way that people have chosen to use it in an offensive manner dirties up the word to now stand as one of the most offensive words out there. However I’m neither white or black and opt out from great debate of who can use the word without offence. Artworks in my opinion are an exception, Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’ and Quentin Trarantino’s ‘Django’ as popular examples. Now that you see my point of view here’s the artwork and your interpretation. I painted three random items at my disposal (video on YT of the making) and they have no relation to the title, however accidentally they can relate; the cactus has no brain (idiot) the chocolate is brown (nigger) and the paint could be of a genius. That’s what people I’ve shown in real life also come to see. However that’s just what you did with your own perception. You labelled them and you decided their meanings on your own. These are just objects and being puppeteered above showing a finger slightly out of view and the shirt buttons in the background. Enjoy your perspective on these innocent words and objects! Watching the Boats Sail Past

I created this artwork during an art challenge of mine (this week involved ten artworks) and as I looked through a book of artworks I own I saw a seascape with boats and appreciated how serene the artwork looked and wanted one of my own. Naturally, doing a surreal twist. Prior to this in my previous weeks challenge (also ten artworks) I used ones of my doughnuts in a digital artwork and then glanced over at a boat and decided the two need to merge. I’m glad I made a painting of this before a digital piece as these turned out exactly as I aimed. I also wanted to reference an older painting I created, ‘Unexpected’ as I loved painting that artwork. The idea for this artwork came to mind while listening to a fast paced song, after doing a minute of research it’s a 132bpm which makes the beat a vivace. This is what I saw when listening to the song so I decided to paint the synesthesia of the moment, I then added a zap and a sheer screen like it’s the song entering your brain. The artwork ended up being a 20 hour artwork which is pretty long for me, although it was also made alongside four others that week. Turned out fine for the environment! I began this artwork with a different idea in mind, then by the time I’d finished creating my 2023 colouring in books I wasn’t passionate about the concept anymore so decided to ditch it. From there I began painting a pear as if it’s being dispensed and squished it’s predecessor, since I’m always making a point about consumerism that’s where I went. After a day I changed the layout and kept the idea although this time the pears drip out from a window and bounce over a more realistic rotten looking pear below. The Other Side

The Journey’ is the prequel to this artwork (and they’re sold separately, maybe to reunite one day). The two artworks fit together like puzzle pieces when one is rotated 180º and placed above the other, see the timelapse video to see them together. The previous artwork shows a journey and depicted at night time, this one shows the other side of the journey, not necessarily after death but another side. I really enjoy Hieronymus Bosch’s artworks and having many events going on in his artworks and I aim to incorporate that in my artworks, these two being the target of that aim. In this artwork I aimed to have two marches heading over to the first painting and included the window far in the background as well as the bird porcelain print on the tree. I really enjoy Hieronymus Bosch’s artworks, specifically how they his artworks encompass busy themes where Bosch packs in plenty of characters and ‘furniture’. A while back I noticed my artworks at the time had a centrepiece and that’s how I conveyed my idea. I’ve been working on creating busier visuals where the viewer will be drawn into the artwork thinking about each section and wonder away with that thought, creating a different experience. This artwork isn’t as busy as I originally aimed however when I reached this point I decided this is how it needs to be. On the left side I added more characters than the right as I want people to read the artwork like a book, left to right. I ended up naming it ‘The Journey’ because when I reached the end of the artwork whenever I looked at it I felt like it’s a journey, like your life journey. Nothing ever seems to go as planned and when you look back at it you end up with a bunch of mismatched and unexpected events that feel like home because it’s yours and you lived that. This year I'm more against consumerism than usual, my new years resolution is to save as many items from council cleanup as bags of rubbish I throw out. Since then I've realised that most of my trash is actually re-usable in some form (compost, local scrap metal, recycling centre). Which then translated to preferring second hand items and watching how people shop as a hobby. I painted the taps to represent the unlimited amount of items someone can buy and decided to create the first tap a human statue tap but painted the man upset and bombarded by the other taps. I began this painting when I challenged myself to create 11 paintings in one week. This one would have been a challenge on it's own since paintings with faces always take longer, I didn't finish it in that week. I originally had the idea to paint just a crowd looking toward the front of the painting, somewhat confronting then decided to include buildings and ended up with just a few faces (Caravaggio faces, since I had to pick a face) on mounds looking at the viewer. I named it 'Goals Staring Back at Me' as if I've let go of a few of them temporarily and they're waiting, staring back at me. No Time

This painting is one of the eleven/twelve that I tried painting in a week, most of them made the deadline and this is the first one I'm showing off from that adventure. Since I have no grasp on time this is another painting I used to express my feelings on time. On my list I originally planned to paint the painting with the clock hands outward like a books pages flipping through the wind, instead as I created it I decided to have them floating throughout the artwork, each hand is a person since we all interpret time at a difference pace (literally, that's a fact) some of the handles are bogged down by sheets of water that I like to paint. I's started painting an egg although when I came back to the painting after my other eleven I couldn't remember why so I ended up turning it into a silhouette of me from the back. It's a coincidence that XII sits above that (my birthday date). I chose to paint the numbers as birds since birds are also hard to get a grip on. Cat as Zebra as Bacchus

I'd been looking for plant pots and came across a listing where the owner had a cat statue and next to it a zebra statue, the zebra had been cut off in the photo so for a moment I thought I'd been looking at a cat with zebra stripes. So I painted a cat with zebra stripes. I wanted to include aspects from a recent paintings 'Self Portrait as Caravaggio as Bacchus' as I enjoyed painting the leaf that folds with the table, this time I painted it with an excessive amount of leaves and as if the cat is a zebra as Bacchus. This time with more aspects that I'd call Bacchus... If this cat's going to be a god of wine then it should be in total control of the vines. So the vines float up around the cat-zebra. I'm also a fan of animals not being perfect in my paintings so I painted this one with an amputated leg, replaced with a wheel. Mercury Retrograde

This is a painting that I began painting with the idea to create a cactus print on a pear and a cow hide print on a cactus, these ideas came to mind from past paintings such as 'Fruits of My Labour' and 'Trauma'. I began with that idea as I've just started a new, more fine roll of canvas and a perfect opportunity to work on more details! By the time I'd worked through the painting I ended up using colours I'm not a fan of (the red hue orange) and ended up going with it by adding a sheer plastic. I use the cactus and cowhide pears in my paintings to represent yourself, this time with lollipops in it representing my projects reminiscent of the representation of Mercury (reddish-orange) and the plastic is the retrograde. If you're into astrology then you'd know that Mercury retrograde puts a halt on things so this is how I wanted to represent that. The Process of Cooking

I began painting this painting with the idea that I'd paint a table of terrible food, burnt and undercooked food. Although as I made the background I'd realised that I can't have the foreground detailed as well as the background so the painting ended up taking a path parallel to most of my cooking ventures; I start off with an idea and then it derails. I'm quite happy with how the painting ended up (unlike my meals) and decided the front is a vague result, coining the term (yep I'm coining it) geometric surrealism. The painting’s original idea came from a weird situation I find myself in. I'm lactose and gluten intolerant and sugar doesn't sit well so people like to take shortcuts when inviting me for food and end up poisoning me (testing my diet, specifically people skeptical of gluten intolerance) so I'm left with the only alternative to invite them over for bad food instead. Definitely Not Penrose or MC Escher Stairs

I wanted to make a painting similar to the Penrose or M.C. Escher stairs although I didn't want to look at the artwork before making this because I wanted mine to look different, I also didn't want to include stairs so I just ended up with something entirely different. I included elements which I include in my paintings and the main block screamed chocolate so I turned it into a chocolate bar. The Feeling of Disrespect

Someone I know threw a little disrespect my way to get ahead and to be frank it made me feel a bit shitty for a day and a bit, I feel like I've usually got my mood in check so I thought this would be a prime opportunity to paint how I felt! Especially (astrology term) since my MC is in the sign of Cancer (an emotional sign) which explain to me that if I tap into emotion then my career would do better as opposed to if I didn't. I chose to put waves of lighter shades in the sky because things seemed a bit dizzy, I painted a large window/ doorway because it seemed cold, a bit drafty, rough grounds and floppy arms. Emotional pain causes the same brain response to physical so I guess thats why my arms felt down as well. The black dots, tears. Love Symphony

I made this painting with more of a goal to improve my technical skills although I started it while listening to the song 'It's Raining Men' so I decided to make a painting on what a symphony themed around lvoe would look like, with a hint of chromesthesia. The man is a glass statue sitting on Venus and the constellation in the sky is Taurus (ruled by Venus). He holds a red blanket that creeps along the land forming it's own extensions. This painting is of a hammer floating in shallow waters while clouds steam from it's head. I thought I'd play with the idea that power isn't a real thing, indeviduals can feel powerful and act accordingly although only when they're surrounded with sheep-like personaltiies, the buoyancy of the water. Not necessarily a fact when it comes to the reality of placing a hammer in water. This painting is two rock ledges hanging over water while a flock of birds carry away a frame from which they came from. The clouds, birds and rocks also outline two faces. I call it “Frank” because when people are speaking frankly they may say things without having researched the topic, I often get people tell me they “don't get art” which is pretty frank to me, a painting on a wall may as well be a black hole (making quite a statement on my career), although ironically appreciating the beauty of the rest of the world around them. Not long ago it clicked for me that not everyone is creative.. Naively thinking that people were being lazy when explaining “I can't” when it comes to thinking outside the box. Soon after I made a painting about an image that comes to mind when listening to a song which sparked discussion about what people see in their minds. I then learnt about hyperphantasia; the genetic trait to vividly see images as your hearts content in your imagination and the opposite, aphantasia where someone struggles to create an image. So from that thought of learning what I'd learnt I wanted to paint a simple painting where one side is an apple (similar to what I'd imagine) and as you pan toward the right, the apple becomes more 2D and a simple line drawing to express the above. This artwork is when the bubble started to burst for me about when you realise that nepotism and appearance play a huge factor in the way the government runs. The individuals want to be voted in, bbcuase that’s their livelihood so they do things that make them look noble and favour people who can prop them up, financially and through status instead of doing what would run a country in the most fair manner. This was painted during the 2019 fires, I noticed that the most preventative measures were taken in the areas where the more “important” people lived. I was in the city and didn’t have a care that my place was goign to burn down because the government had decided that the area I live in was a no-go zone for the fire. But having volunteered for the rural fire brigade I saw my old friends working overtime to save these other areas. The Rural fire Service isn’t linked to the fire brigade, they do entirely different and unpaid work. Thought continued… Anyway, I decided to paint politics, where some parts are propped up because they’re “more important” and others are left to fend for themselves. This is an artwork I created inspired by the current Australian climate in Sydney. All the surrounding bushed are burning down and the sun is red, often. At the time of painting this we were in a drought and the fires were running wild, smoke from the mountains were reaching Sydney. The burning tree being watched over by the cow represents the acceptance of how our world seems to be burning down, there seems to be no change besides throwing money in areas which aren't currently working, evidently. This artwork is a wall of cactus spikes which looks out to an ocean, I named it boundaries because sometimes people get in their own way. It’s easy to set your standard to high and never achieve them for the sake of proving yourself right that you couldn’t achieve the goal. It’s interesting how people do this. I find this artwork quite funny. In 2017 I went to Newport beach with a fiend and saw a cockatoo eating a chip above me. So I photographed it and turned it into a cigarette then reflected it, as if you’re in That 70’s Show. This bird makes a comeback in other artworks such as ‘Party Bird’.

Every now and then, as an artist, the institutions ask you to create a self portrait as an assignment. At this point in time I didn’t have any in digital format so I took a photo and edited it with the background being the pattern of a kimono I’d wear, sometimes when making art and the sunnies reflecting places I’ve adventured to photograph. I ended up using this as my online display picture for many of my art profiles and also recreated it with paint, a challenge I often return to.
