This is one of the final artworks of both my twenty-one artworks in twenty-one days which then turned into eight artworks in eight hours so this was a time crunch. I wanted to recreate the concepts of ‘Doughnut Town’ and ‘Ice cream Town’ but with a snake and while reflecting on my previous artworks I noticed I hadn’t actually used this snake in it’s original size that I made for the ‘Spring Hood’ digital artwork. So this is the final result of those ideas mashed together.

Before this artwork I made an artwork ‘Hippy Bust’ which was built of a much older artwork. With the same idea here, I wanted to return to my much older digital artworks, around 2018, and recreate them the way I would today. So I reflected on my ‘Island’ artwork and decided to have another go while also including a statue on this one. This was also one of my eight artworks in eight hours artworks.

This artwork is one of many remakes of my artwork, ‘Tofu’, 2021. I’ve been recreating the artwork for an art battle where artists compete to create an artwork in twenty minutes. For this particular one I decided to go busking however there was a one hour time limit so I decided to paint this one and one other. You can see the live recording on one of my YouTube channels. This artwork took 30 minutes and a few touchups, unfortunately no tips and no one bid to buy it. This artwork isn’t like my other ones in the sense that It’s a “canvas” print that I painted over, created with acrylic and it’s stretched onto MDF. This is a follow up from the artwork before this, ‘The Tree’ where I also continued on an idea from the artwork before that with springs, so this time I wanted to make an artwork with spring leaves all around. Half way through creating it I decided to attach them to my motorcycle, in motion.

In 2021 I shared an artwork named, ’Chocland’ which sold quite fast. A few people mentioned it when I discussed what artworks to include in my next colouring in book edition. A few weeks before completing this artwork I received a commission request and the week prior I’d coincidentally shared an artwork named ‘Commission’ expressing my disinterest in commissions. So naturally I said no, however when someone requests one I ask what they saw in the original artwork and to share their views. Then I’ll make something after a little research and if they like it, it’s up for grabs. If not, we all move on. I was told that the artlover saw synthwave in the original artwork and appreciated how unique it was in terms of the description of a commonplace object. They really enjoyed the composition. Sometimes an artwork takes you somewhere else, and if that’s what this is for them then I wanted to play on that instead of conveying a concept. I had a rule, red or green sky and no pears. If you watch the making video of this artwork you’ll see I began with green aiming to play on my recent artwork ‘Surrealists and Psychology’, then after talking to someone about this new artwork I changed it to red. That was probably a positive turn of events doing something entirely opposite to all except one artwork of mine, ‘Cheese’. Someone mentioned it’s not Synthwave without the car, I tried looking up which specific car but it seems to vary. Instead I added a reference to a car I once owned which I lined with indicators. I added the typical block sun, but dismantled. I’m personally always listening to 80’s rock instead of 80’s Synthwave and as I created the artwork I watched the Scorpions ‘Send Me an Angel’ with the red sky and square mountains so I added them as a sneaky link to a different 80’s world, with a tiny guitarist on top. I also have a few artworks synesthesia where I link shapes to sounds. During my hunt I found the beats consistent so I placed a row of cacti on the chocolate squares. Lasers that reflect the typical Synthwave blue triangle and just as I wrapped up the atrwork I learned the art lovers name so I found a reference in the Synthwave world and added it in. This is a painting I created where I have bubbles sitting on a landscape with sheets of water (like some of my previous paintings) resting on them. It reminded me of day-dreams, in this painting and once soon to follow I use bubbles to represent dreams/ the mind. I've had this painting in mind for a very long time although only just got around to it, in my head I imagined just one pear but thats not how I did it when it came to painting it. It's a scale in the form of a painting. I've met people, not recently, who brag about how bad they are at art, and I agree that you can't be taught how to art, you're either born with the genetic make-up or not. Although in saying that I believe that even if you suck, the fact that you have hands and can brush your teeth competently means that you can make basic shapes and shading with a little motivation. On the left of the artwork I painted as if I had no motivation and no talent, gradually increasing the level of recognition to end up with what it would look like when painting with talent and motivation (ignoring abstract, impressionism, figurative styles etc.). I then played with it and changed the colours and placed the pears up the wall and turned the curtain to water because I'm a surrealist, and my skills allow me to. I also found it interesting that while painting it I realised pears are more yellow than green. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

I wanted to make a painting similar to the Penrose or M.C. Escher stairs although I didn't want to look at the artwork before making this because I wanted mine to look different, I also didn't want to include stairs so I just ended up with something entirely different. I included elements which I include in my paintings and the main block screamed chocolate so I turned it into a chocolate bar. Someone I know threw a little disrespect my way to get ahead and to be frank it made me feel a bit shitty for a day and a bit, I feel like I've usually got my mood in check so I thought this would be a prime opportunity to paint how I felt! Especially (astrology term) since my MC is in the sign of Cancer (an emotional sign) which explain to me that if I tap into emotion then my career would do better as opposed to if I didn't. I chose to put waves of lighter shades in the sky because things seemed a bit dizzy, I painted a large window/ doorway because it seemed cold, a bit drafty, rough grounds and floppy arms. Emotional pain causes the same brain response to physical so I guess thats why my arms felt down as well. The black dots, tears. I made this painting with a goal in mind to paint the look of gold, I recently had some digital artworks of gold doughnuts I created printed and wanted to wrap my mind around why a printer can print CMYK and have the image look gold and whether I could be just as precise with my flat colours and tones to create gold. I think I need more practice and do think it's somewhat doable although I'm not there yet. I call it sarcastic doughnut, as if the doughnuts saying “Yeah man, I can be gold”. I'm often surrounded by women who are have boys on their mind 24/7, I don't really comprehend how they have so much mental bandwidth for the topic although after years of listening to their stories that seem almost parallel to the previous or another woman's story I recently noticed a pattern where they always tell me their fantasies of the future. They'll get married, the guy will support them with XYZ, live happily ever after and she'll have less problems (as if it's connected). It clicked for me, I finally realise that this is their survival instinct, if these women I'm meeting focus on one topic, the men, instead of various topics such as career and independence then their future is sorted. This is my piece of mind and I can now justify why some women can be so obsessed, instead of thinking to myself in a critical manner. When I put this thought into a picture in my mind, I see a glass woman with a man trapped inside as her brain. Pink dots on the floor which also cover the glass statues, blending into the surrounding environment. The trapped men have no clothes because clothes would give them identity and from my point of view it doesn't look like the personality or anything individual about the men seems to matter. I decided to paint this painting after watching a string of documentaries, by chance I watched Michelangelo after de Vinci and feel like I already knew they shared a lifetime although just found it interesting. Since they weren't friends I decided to paint them having a battle. I covered the floor in each of their most famous painting, ironically that seems to be the territory they fought over, yet neither of them reported to enjoy painting. The sky on da Vinci's side is darker, as If the suns set on him, Michelangelo is on a platform, as if it's similar to the one he painted the Sistine Chapel on, fighting with his statue of David. De Vinci (the man on the ground) fights wearing the armour he designed and also uses some weapons he designed. Hand stretched, sold with a certificate of authenticity and hooks ready to hang! When I was younger there wasn't much lactose free substitutes available and always thought that when I get older there'll be heaps. There aren't (in Australia) although I find it somewhat ironic that major companies opt to jump straight to vegan food to be inclusive of those with intolerances. Yet I'd prefer to opt out of those products and make my own, entirely skipping on the mass production. I see tofu as a kind of “fake” food, it's often mimicking other food and never the hero of a meal. This painting's mocking vegan food (as I do.. lol), the pear represents the tofu and a clear drape over it as if it's a cow hide, my representation of when people use tofu to make “meat”. Instead of human cameramen I used pink peacocks because I feel the genre is super glorified, often in the spotlight and shaming other diets. It's ultimately up to the viewer to determine how they want to perceive the painting. Sold with hooks, ready to hang, a certificate of authentication and oil based!

A thought crossed my mind where everyone always has a problem they're dealing with, I don't believe anyone's left without a problem for long. So I painted this maze, the person in the painting builds crossings at each dead end, one section where they cut a plank from the ground (using the recourses you have) and other ladders made from ropes dropped from the sky. I really enjoyed this painting, although I don't believe it's reached it potential so I'll be making a large sequel as soon as I get my hands on a canvas of that size. Recently I retired my latest car.. reluctantly. Which caused me to reflect on how my previous cars have held a theme for what I was doing at that time in my life. My first car, I never liked the colour and didn't have a choice in it (although purchased it myself) from 'day dot' I said I'd paint it blue. It never turned out blue but I gained some skills spray-painting cars, this car went all the colours. The day it was written off I had big plans for the next spray. The next car, above it. I carried on the spray-painting only once and learnt how to wire up electricity. I ended up putting 22 indicators on it, like a mini truck, and put another models headlights on it. The bottom lit up with blue as I high-beamed. That car didn't last long. The final car I decided it was time to look like an adult, so I sprayed it only to fix the previous owners blemishes. I kept the lights as normal to possible and practiced how to advertise with it (without permanently altering the car). Since this painting I've tied in all the lessons I'd learnt from my previous cars in my new one, I've sprayed it, hooked up lights and made an unmissable advertisement for my books. I found it very interesting how people become attached to cars and not other objects, as if you become the car. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

I made this painting with more of a goal to improve my technical skills although I started it while listening to the song 'It's Raining Men' so I decided to make a painting on what a symphony themed around lvoe would look like, with a hint of chromesthesia. The man is a glass statue sitting on Venus and the constellation in the sky is Taurus (ruled by Venus). He holds a red blanket that creeps along the land forming it's own extensions. I decided to make a paining of a moment. I once had a romance with a guy for years and he stood out from the rest but it didn't work out and I never looked him up again. I was posting a load of my books last year and I noticed him glancing my way for a noticeable amount of time. The painting shows a woman made of sand building her life path, her hand moves the bricks away from the direction of the statue, her mind guides it and her legs walk it. Moving forward in every respect. A light river of gossip crosses her path yet not strong enough to move any of the bricks. His statue once sand has turned to glass, decorated with two memories and surrounded with clouds vaguely signifying wolfs which represents his friends. The glass, solidifying his choices, never to catch up with the front of her path ever again. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

I made this painting following a digital artwork of fruit that wasn't the correct shapes, and ran with the banana idea. The concept is based around the way lots of people live their lives, unnaturally posed in front of a screen ordering takeaway, connected to the other screens and that's their reality. The outdoors of the painting was going to include magenta (to have a mix of CMYK.. graphic design jargon) although it looked too space-like for my liking. This painting is a lightbulb, painting a landscape, or perceive it however you like. I painted it as a point of view. Often seeing people online smudging pixels in Photoshop calling the pieces “paintings”, literally, bothers me. When people do this they take away from the skill of painting, once having experienced an unhappy customer who requested a mural from me, only to find out she'd been looking at digital art, not paintings as a reference of what would result. This painting came to mind when I was listening to Midnight Oi's “Beds are Burning” song. So I painted it, then took the bands name a little literally with this artwork and made an ocean of oil. At the time I was also in a phase of seeing how much I could reduce my carbon footprint and it’s net negative if you really focus on it. So the concept is environmental here. This artwork reminds me of one of my paintings. I’d just taken a photo of a can and had a friends piano on file and I wanted to pop them in an artwork. From there I wanted to make the can of art, so I warped an artwork into the label and also decided to include a geometric style step in the earth. I also wanted to utilise a photo of my paint which turned out pretty funky. This is how it ended up. The artwork is also in one of my colouring in books if you want to have a go at drawing it!

One day I was sent a video of an artist making a painting using a bicycle, naturally as a competitive person, I wanted to make one blindfolded. So this is it. It's a sky that's cut like a diamond. I think this artwork hits home harder for residents in Melbourne. The buyer ended up being from there. When I paint cacti I like to think of them of versions of people and I’m really proud of how this one turned out. At the time, COVID had hit and we were all required to wear masks out in public. Some people inferred that at ini your car with all your windows up too, studies also show it didn’t make a difference and anyone with an opposing opinion was silenced. So whether you see this as the cactus was silenced or the cactus wants to wear the mask it’s up to you. Interestingly, I had a few besties there that were consecutively vegans. I’m not though, I sit in the camp of meat in every meal please or it’s not a meal. I’d also always wanted a cow hide since first moving out and until I managed to afford a few I had a fake one. Then when my real ones manifested themselves I’d proudly announce there’s a cow hide in the room. Some friends wont step on it and that’s where our opinions differ, I see it as the circle of life and it’s a waste to now use the hide. So this is where the artwork comes in, it’s the circle of life. This is an appropriation of the artwork 'The Guitar Player' by Jean-Baptiste Greuze 1755-60 71 x 56cm. I haven't seen the original in real life although managed to copy most of it from a small book. The appropriation is based on the object that the guitar player is holding, in the original he holds an actual guitar and in my appropriation he holds a computer with Logic Pro X open which shows tracks; differentiating between then and now. I wanted an artwork with an umbrella floating around. I guess a Merry Poppins kind of idea. I struggle with my digital artworks at night though and this is one of those that I look back at and wonder if I hit the mark. However art is subjective! I ran a kickstarter to launch my colouring in books and gave people the option to choose which digital artwork they wanted printed and this was one woman’s choice. It’s really fascinating to me to see the artworks people choose! I guess it did hit the mark for some.

This is an appropriation and a moment in time where I looked at my final Dali artwork. For a little while, I was receiving compliments that my work is reminiscent of that of Salvador Dali, I researched him and decided his painting “Suez” is my favourite. I then decided to appropriate it. I found the original quite funny, this is a play on that and perhaps a continual.. Both slightly comical. I then decided I didn’t want to be seen as a copycat and this was the last time I ever looked at any of his artworks. Sometimes I see them in passing and think, yeah we do share a style but I’m not subconsciously copying. This is an artwork I created during the 2019 fires. Australia was burning down and the politics was only starting to heat up (compared to the unrest in the following decade). Then you’d tune into news from other parts of the wold and they’d be frozen or flooding. I found it interesting that the topic was environmental and how politics can fix it but it’s just nature going through it’s larger seasons, and it just happens to be extreme ends for different parts of the world. So this one and the other close up didn’t follow the main man, I aimed to show that there could be a whole new world in the artwork if you’d zoomed in. Kind of like those vector artwork videos where people start off with a scene then create one around t and so on then record the zoom out for the clicks. The original zoomed out artwork is about the destruction of canvas prints, both on artists careers and to the environment. Don’t buy a canvas print. After creating my ‘Photoshop Moses’ artwork I wanted to create another but differently and plays with illusions. The concept behind it is the imbalance of climate. This is an artwork I created after visiting the zoo, the animals looked bored with their lives and their lives were split up into categories; play time, eating time, mating time. That's why I split up the rhino into three sections and under water, being out of its element. This is a surreal painting I started in 2018 and left it for a year then decided to finish it in 2019. It's a bird pulling up or scattering (whichever way you decide to view it) debris on the mountain. The lighting in this painting is reflective of the orange sky and the buildings are shaded with blues and oranges. This is based off of a photo I took from mums friends place in Sofia which over looks the mountain. In 2016 I adventured to Garie Beach to hunt down the Figure Eight Pool. The actual attraction is the scenery for the entire walk now that I’ve been there and can report back to you. Right after a girl tried to stand as a bridge over the pool she fell is, promptly jumped out (winter) and I got my money shot of the pool with no one in it.

This artwork is based off a photo I took in Bulgaria from my mums friends place. From here I wanted to add the bird and at the time, in 2018, I was working on learning how to fade objects into dust. This artwork was later recreated as an oil painting then sold. It’s a challenge I repeatedly return to.
