International Date Line Oil Painting

I watch videos on geography sometimes and came across one in detail on the international date line… Long story short, I start questioning the theory of time and the international date line.

Without this line that’s entirely made up then our rules for time don’t work, to me it seems purely for convinience and the idea of time needs some more thinking over.

I decided to paint how I felt about this idea of time, my head twisting between lands and trying to bridge the gaps that don’t match up for me.
