While listening to a podcast the guest began playing a song which I then shazamed. I was surprised to learn that the artist was Charles Manson, but I do sit in the camp of separating the art from the artist so I decided to paint him as the rock star he never became. This was also my first artwork being documented in the form of a “How to” so each step was documented with incredible detail. I decided to paint an outfit as a mix of ideas from 80’s rock stars, the guitar and tattoo are odes to his cult and the expression is Bruce Springsteens. A guest recently visited and mentioned the expression makes her uncomfortable which is precisely how I wanted it to turn out. To have that Charles Manson crazy face look but also showing that expression Bruce showcases in the example photo. Every now and then I learn about a new phenomenon named “x” paradox. This time It was the Abilene paradox which is very fitting for western culture in recent years. There are plenty of rules being made up and no one thinks they’re reasonable. For example, Australia is using AI to enforce seatbelt fines, to achieve a road toll of zero. However the AI doesn’t work and the road toll is increasing since these fresh forms of distributing fines, so it doesn’t work. However anyone could predict that more surveillance would make drivers poorer drivers. So the Abilene Paradox is when there’s a group who needs to make a decision, eat the apple or the orange for example, and the majority think that everyone else wants the apple so they vote apple but in reality they want the orange and didn’t voice it in an attempt to stick with the group and be accepted. To visualise this I first thought up painting some still life where one half is floating and a different colour, or geometry, like that Simpsons episode where Homer enters a 3D space in the wall and have triangles flying through the air. Instead I glanced over at my colouring in book 2023 edition cover and decided to also include another challenge where I try to paint giraffes similar to my digital artworks. It’s always a challenge and I think I completed it to a better standard this time. So this is the result, the group of giraffes are all on a sick one mixed up in their decisions and the bodies are still grounded, hollow. A short while before making this artwork I decided I wanted some insight into religions so I visited different places of worship during their usual worship time as a fly on the wall experience. I originally planned on visiting a Christian church, an Islam mosque and a Buddhist temple. Unfortunately this is a more exclusive activity than I thought and couldn’t figure out the Buddhist schedule. I visited an Anglican church and an Islam mosque and took part in their services. Ironically I went in expecting what the media portrayed, being in a western society we are convinced that muslims are dangerous and people of Christ are welcoming. Now flip that perspective to imagine what I experienced. I sat in the Anglican Church biting my tongue listening to the bible being recited on how they laid waste and destroyed the other beliefs scrolls (I personally hate burning literature) then praised blindly believing that God will save you. I asked, “Don’t you think you need to solve your own problems for God to open up opportunities instead of just prey?”. They preached that you are always right as well. I left feeling somewhat violated as if they’re raising narcs in that particular church. I then visited Islam and joined in with the prayers, this time they preached getting your act together, fasting is approaching and you need to be prepared, they preached contacting your loved ones and checking in. A fantastic 30m pep talk anyone could do with. The people were welcoming and I left feeling like the media wrongly portrays Muslims… or perhaps the individual journalists are prejudice. But one thing was true with both experiences. Their God/ Allah is the one true God/ Allah. Yours is wrong and they are both worshiping the right way. So this artwork is the two religions talking to each other debating who’s right. The Anglican has a severed arm from their preaching and the Muslim is put off by their actions. This artwork was requested as a non-commission based on a previous artwork I created, 'ROMSOM' which is an acronym for reflection of my state of mind and created based on a study which showed that the more greyscale a persons instagram was, the more depressive symptoms they exhibited. I'd say I've improved in painting clouds so this request ended up being a really fun challenge. This time I didn't include black in the clouds and approached them differently which I think worked out really well! There were other challenges that were interesting to paint, like the motion of the propeller and the tiny figures. This time round, since it's a non-commission, I'm allowed creative freedom and in the era of my career I'm in right now I'm really enjoying painting tiny figures in my artworks, like the artwork 'Surrealists and Psychology' and 'Running Wild with Still Life'. So I included tiny figures that pop up in my other artworks, like horses in poses you'd never be able to photograph, bunnies floating around, cacti like my main artwork 'Trauma' and my cowhide pears. I see it as you're in the sky scape of your imagination and these items are zooming around doing their own thing. What was really fun about this artwork was the request for a biplane somewhere, once I looked up examples it became a really interesting part of the artwork to paint as I've never painted one before. In the end I decided to name the artwork ROBSOM as a play on the prequel's title but instead it's Rob's state of mind. I’m not a fan of the algorithms controlling my entertainment and ended up watching a bunch of old movies from the 90’s and 2000’s. We all already know that movies these days will likely suck in comparison, then adding in the internet where people upload reaction videos daily for the sake of uploading and people watch them for the sake of having background noise. We aren’t truly entertained here. There’s a few movies you can watch dozens.. maybe hundreds of times and still be entertained since they’re so well written. LOTR for example, or I ended up watching Impromptu many times. Then I decided to paint Hugh Grant statues as if each statue has a turn on stage and each time we notice something different about how the production was delivered. In the background behind the wall is the death of entertainment where a bunny on it’s last legs crawls out of the horror of braindead entertainment. This is a challenge artwork that I left at my grandma’s. During a previous visit I’d painted my grandpa who’d passed away about 30 years ago today, for my grandma. However the tools I had at hand were tricky to use and it came out mediocre at best. Since then I’ve done quite a few art challenges like busking, art battles, 80 artworks in 79 days and so on so now I have a much better grip on creating artworks in situations that aren’t ideal and with terrible paint. This time I didn’t have my trusty water mixable oils which dry much faster than the denser oils and had to use thick oils. I ended up only having two weeks for this artwork after having found turpentine (which was impossible there!). The next challenge for this artwork was the brushes. I had about seven of the same size, one large and one tiny brush, so I made this artwork with just three brushes. Unfortunately it’s not for sale but it’s here to be apart of the collection of artworks I want to share with you.

I made an artwork which I still consider my best, ‘Trauma’, and haven’t been able to recreate one just as good but I think this one might be on par. Just with less effort visible in the paint since I did all the practice on that artwork. The cacti I paint are people, roughly. This time I wanted to paint flow state, it’s the state of mind where you’re absorbed in your task but in so deep you forget you’re doing it and work autonomously while your mind wanders. This is where I am when I paint, in the rabbit hole. I think it deserved an artwork. In the bottom right I added a cherry, for the ideas that randomly pop into mind when in flow state and the clouds focused on the cactus. A million years ago in science class it stuck with me that the teacher emphasised how everything melts with time. He specified that even glass melts, as the bottom will be wider than the top a hundred years from now. Super interesting fact! Makes me think of it every time I come across a video where someone hunts down fossils inside rocks, the imprint of the living thing is interesting as I imagine the process of the living thing became stone. So I began this artwork wanting to paint the ground, the dirt, blue to resemble water, and instead it just began to resemble water. Then I included rain the way I like to paint rain, as sheets of clear blue, and a melting/ evaporating moon. If you check out the time lapse or opinionated video of the making you’ll see that I added other items then decided less is more for this artwork. This artwork went through three lives, see the documentation of the making in either the opinionated or the timeless to see it unfold. I began wanting to paint the concept that the simulation theory is just modern platonism, but the layout was rushed. Then I decided to paint different forms of water as a skill challenge, but I wanted to do it in a day as part of twenty-one artworks in twenty-one days. I then wrapped up that project and attended a lecture where I believe confirmed my opinion that we’re in the depths of a world-wide Dunning-Kruger effect with AI. The lecturer seemed to have zero concept on how vibe coders are actually creating terrible code, Obama also seems to think AI code is exceptional for some reason. I doubt he’s tried, and if he did, I assure you he’s not skilled at coding. Both claims from world renowned, respected people with no professional claim in the fields they say AI is making progress in. I’ll make more artworks on the other idea’s spawned from this but this one shows the concept of how we’re mainly using AI wrong. A fantastic concept included a video game where the boss learns your moves and makes it harder for you to win, genuinely building your human skills instead of doing it for you. Yet we live in a world where we’re too cautious to let AI be the obstacle over the enabler. The dumb will become dumber and the intelligent will prosper further creating a huge gap in our species. This is one of the final artworks of both my twenty-one artworks in twenty-one days which then turned into eight artworks in eight hours so this was a time crunch. I wanted to recreate the concepts of ‘Doughnut Town’ and ‘Ice cream Town’ but with a snake and while reflecting on my previous artworks I noticed I hadn’t actually used this snake in it’s original size that I made for the ‘Spring Hood’ digital artwork. So this is the final result of those ideas mashed together.

I watched a movie recently, it wasn’t very good and it were about a struggling writer but it sparked up an idea. Imagine if creative people ran the world? I don’t think I captured the idea in this artwork and instead painted a reflection one the work place. I once had a friend who studied marketing who said to me “One day I’ll be telling you what to do” implying her degree was better than mine. I guess she’s right about how the work place is structured however ask any designer (I’m an artist now) and they’ll tell you they’ve been instructed to execute some pretty terrible ideas. So this is working with the creative… They’re just doing it because, but really, what would you do if the creative just made the design better? This is the result. While creating it I came across the challenge of making it twist, comparing with the older screen recording, and my approach this time was entirely different to the way I originally did it.

The concept for this one was to make an artwork that tells a story, which I think it does do. The way ‘Hotel California’ or ‘Hazard’, or any of Bosch artwork’s tell stories, so I whipped out my tarot deck and decided to paint three cards. I rushed it so this is the result. I wanted to include three different clouds and areas as if the protagonist is either returning or venturing out and looking back. The story is up to you. While in uni we covered the topic of whether graffiti is art or criminal (spoiler, the law says any paint on any surface that you don’t own is crime) which lead to the lecturer stating that law needs crime, the police need the criminals to keep coming in order to exist. That thought, alongside recently dealing with insane people (check out my car sign being stolen video now on YT as an example) I experienced how difficult it is to have the justice system help you out when your issue is small, yet still invasive enough that in black and white you are entitled to the help. Rewarding bad behaviour I guess. So you end up stressed out dealing with an insane person and on top of that dealing with the stress of not having a problem entertaining enough for actual help and knowing there will be consequences if you stand up for yourself outside the justice system. So the cycle continues, you’re stuck between a rock and a hard place while the system primes you to join the insanity club hoping you’ll just defend yourself. I don’t think I expressed that idea well in this artwork so I’m thinking I’ll redo it, but here’s the first version. This is the system and the lollipop begins whole then melts and is pumped back up to build up the lollipop again. I added a cloud as the environment causing the loop but I definitely regret the lightning added. I was watching the Zuckerberg Joe Rogan interview and Zuckerberg is ‘Red pilling’ just a bit… Over the past year I’ve been watching conspiracy theories for art but the ones I’ve seen (most of them) have merit. However, you can’t explain that to someone who hasn’t given more than two seconds to any of these theories without being labelled a conspiracy theorist. It’s the same as giving a movie half the trailer. I found it important to watch different people discuss the same topic. So this is the red pill… Being labelled a conspiracy theorist. I put a laser for the pyramid plant theory, a wrap to represent muslims (soon to make an artwork about religions), a satellite for the propaganda, the document where Albanese tried to cancel the internet, a COVID clot and more. This is an artwork I thought up while creating the previous digital artwork where I’d use a tool in Photoshop to smudge the colours of all the layers and add saturation to create a 60’s style colour mess. Now that I’m using Affinity Photo I needed to recreate this but without the tool but figure out how to make the pixels do that myself. This was successful and that’s the pattern you see behind the zebra stripes. Alongside that I wanted to add a wild mane and coffee pouring in a really straight fashion. The artwork turned out very close to what I imagined, goal accomplished!

Recently I watched a Youtube video where the creator joked about Jesus and from there I came to the conclusion there aren’t enough Jesus paintings. All the actual Jesus paintings I’ve seen are from the 1400’s and earlier, I also wanted him to be a hippy, so the new owner can be in a mood then look over at the artwork and think “What would Jesus do?”… This Jesus. While creating the artwork I learnt that there are sects of religions that follow the bible who allow icons and some that don’t. Then I went a step further for a new artwork to visit a few different religious places of worship and found that some religions take it seriously and other just say they don’t have icons, but seem to have them there in plain sight. So this is an artwork for the Jesus lovers who allow icons and want a real artwork, made with love and definitely not a print (prints of paintings… my own personal form of blasphemy). Shortly before painting this artwork I adventured to the NSW Gallery and admired the skill in the historic artworks that depict clouds, that alongside an installation that reminds me of Khazad-Dum and the dragons castle in Shrek. When I’m in a place like this, with pillars everywhere, there’s a specific atmosphere that comes along with it so I wanted to convey that with this artwork. This artwork follows one I created in 2019, ‘Corporate’. I really like it, even the version I can colour in in my colouring in books. The artwork also follows on from my other artwork, ‘Trauma’ where the universe just dumps paint on you and you need to grow through it. When I worked in corporate I hated it, I was rapidly wasting my life being a puppet for people I swear are incredibly miserable. Selling my soul… Quite often people who work nine to five tell me about what’s really grinding their gears at the time. Work’s always the focus of their attention and never positive, then you hear about how team mates throw each other ‘under the bus’. It’s a total mess. I originally named the artwork “Corporate Mess” painting a continuation of the previous artwork, just zoomed out, hen decided to name it “2”. I think history will look back on COVID the way it looks back on the Holocaust, with a union on governments as opposed to Hitler running the show (and remember, there was propaganda from the time too). I wasn’t against the vaccines but I was hesitant and definitely put it off with the sole reason being that it couldn’t possibly have been tested on childbearing aged women and the offspring. The Zika virus is what came to mind. However when I specifically asked how it could affect reproduction I was told it’s safe. Later on I watched ‘Died Suddenly’ the documentary on the actual clots humans are getting and in it showed that Australian birth rates plummeted shortly after we were campaigned to get the shots. I then decided to look it up myself and it was true, it’s now late 2023 and ABS website still hadn’t declared still births and the birth rates dropped. The website specifically said they’re restructuring how to present the data, and if you know stats then you know that stats are the easiest way to factually present false data. I felt personally betrayed on this one. So I decided to make a painting on something I don’t think we’ll really noticed until the statistic dip reaches an age where they were to begin interacting with society. In my artworks I use cacti to represent people so the trend continues here, however I chose blue because I wanted to make them like water, but also a night before a friend of mine died I had a dream that he went around saying bye to everyone and he had this incredibly bright blue tie on. So that’s where the death blue comes from. Half way through painting I decided it’s better to blind fold the baby. This ones for the babies that didn’t make it. I don’t like abstract art. The fact that people use the word “abstract” in so many situations where it doesn’t make sense bothers me, people have said “It’s so abstract!” when looking at my artworks… There is nothing abstract about my paintings, until now. Adding to that I’m upset that there are many decor artists calling themselves abstract artists in order to be treated as a successful artist in the view of sales, however in my point of view it’s very easy to sell decor. A real artwork needs time to be considered before purchasing and speaks to the art lover… Something entirely lost on decor. No, you will not see me throw paint or resin at a canvas for sales. I may however, do it as satire. Since the word ‘abstract’ bothers me so much I decided it’s time I make a real abstract artwork. One where I paint what I see in the form of shapes that don’t necessarily form an object where it would result in a consensus on what it represents, the definition. I painted each item with intent, here lies an apple fallen from an apple tree on a sunny day and music plays. I also definitely want to know what other people see. I’ve joined the masses turning their backs on Adobe and this is my first digital artwork using Affinity Photo. This was mainly a learning curve and I’m not sure it’s my best concept but a good start to hopefully some great Affinity made artworks! I wanted to create an electric wall by using textures that I’d create in Photoshop like smudging and adjustment layer or placing a glow around it. I ended up making the vines glow and even created a much better lemur (in terms of fur) than I could have in Photoshop. The overall intention was to create a window where the clouds are actually doughnuts, so I tried to show that with some of them spanning across to the neighbouring window. I also added the albino giraffes referencing my painting, ‘The Game’, while the doughnuts reference my painting, ‘Cravings’.

I’m in the mood to switch up my style just a little bit for a while. When I began manipulating photos they had a very realistic look as I didn’t change the background, I decided to return to that approach although with the idea in mind that I want to bring the cleaned up edited objects from my more recent artworks and merge the two styles. I’ve been looking around my place imagining the objects that have been in my digital artworks so that’s where this idea came from, I also really enjoy my ‘Astrology Cup’ artwork so I worked from there.

I didn’t start this artwork with a goal in mind but wanted to create a turtle version of my ‘Bicycle Bridge’ where a turtle is stuck between two somewhat cliff edges. The image of the turtle doesn’t really fill the page so I changed my mind to creating a curvy wave that’s blowing bubbles and have the turtles climb across it. That idea didn’t last long and I ended up with clouds inside some bubbles and a hoop with an ordinary world in it, like the clouds in the bubbles are different universes. The videos on this artwork would be interesting to see unfold just based on how many times I changed my mind.

Everyone probably agrees that there’s a rise in mental disorders alongside technology. Every now and then I meet someone who brandishes their diagnosis collection like medals, then go a step further and tell me what I am… Plot twist, I’m nothing, I’m a perfectly healthy young woman and that opinion needs to step right back to where it came from, it’s inappropriate behaviour. What I’ve understood so far… These people are using articles that show up on their first page of a, potentially bias, Google search which include phrases like “13 reasons you’re”. Or YouTube videos of someone who did that for them. These aren’t thousand page studies, or books written by psychologists but more and more people walk around as if that’s what they’re equipped with. I found one of these people particularly jarring when they had to be correct, so I questioned it and ended up with this artwork. I began painting this artwork as a man then it ended up being a woman because of paint logistics (check out the video on that one), but the concept overall was to paint books as eye lasers. As if the person who’s shooting out diagnosis’ is using their new found opinion as lasers out to get you. I painted the lasers as books since there’s no actual books going on here. If I were being socially confronted with someone who read studies I’d have taken a different approach and painted someone throwing books, so that’s where the laser books idea comes from, empty, like the weight of the opinions being thrown at me. Underneath I left the ground bare from grass since it really felt like these interactions needed to leave the person correct at all costs, no friendship will be left behind if they’re wrong, no life for anything new to grow. I also tried painting the head as a huge statue in the distance being held up by the tree, I’m not sure I hit the mark though. This is an artwork I thought up while colouring in a doughnut page in my colouring in book series and decided I want to make a doughnut with loads of tiny giraffe sprinkles. From there I wanted to create an artwork where some of the main object is cut out, like a mid shot. As I created the doughnut I wanted a new doughnut since I’ve used it so much and rendered up a new one then when importing it into Photoshop from Blender I couldn’t decide what colour to make it, then I ended up wanting to make it look electric, like my ‘Hippy Hippo’ artwork. This is the final result.

Before making this artwork I made a digital artwork where I first created a land of spring animals. I really liked it but thought that I could do better painting it since fur is a tricky game on a computer by manipulating photos. So this artwork is mainly an exercise of skill. I also wanted to create an artwork with movement so that’s where the idea of the two birds crashing into each other came from. Recently I also painted ‘Thinking Things Up’ where I painted some horses in odd positions, falling, so I also continued on from that idea including the pink horse. Overall I wanted to paint like my digital artworks so I included my moon balloons. By the time I finished the artwork I couldn’t decide on a concept. When I look at it I see a world of spring animals, like the intent with the digital artwork as well, I just don’t have deep meaning for this artwork like the others. Either way, goals achieved! I recently entered the pyramid rabbit hole, long story short, these are not tombs. It began as I find other peoples point of view interesting so I let conspiracy theories (or just regular theories that the mainstream labels to lower their credibility) enter my YouTube feeds and I think it included a mix of my electronics searches because I came across a pyramid generator theory by Chris Dunn. The entire topic is fascinating and has merit so I don’t think my painting reflects all the ideas I came across but I wanted to paint something pyramid. One point that I want to share, through art, is that we seem to under the mainstream impression that Egypt has always been a desert but there’s water erosion marks all over the Sphinx. Water plays a big part in a lot of the science explaining alternate histories. The pyramids generator theory is pretty complicated but I started the painting when learning about the aquifers part of the theory which is the very beginning of the generator theory, so I painted the pyramid of water. I also wanted to reflect two older artworks named, ‘Priorities’ and ‘Priorities 2’. The artwork wasn’t very planned out but as I continued to paint I put in plenty of effort into the spikes, also referencing my recent artwork ‘Thinking Things Up’ I learnt about the mystery of the tunnels that lead under the Sphinx so I added those into it. At some point I wanted to add more, then another point I decided to keep it simple and make more artworks to share the ideas. I’ve made digital artworks in the past which are mini towns floating in the air on a giant doughnut, or a giant ice-cream. This time thought I wanted to use a Beetle, like my ‘Chocolate Ice-car’ artwork and a mix of the idea I used in ‘Pear House’ where I used clouds as stairs. Lately I’m enjoying making the digital artworks more detailed and this is the result.

One day I was colouring in my colouring in book and felt an ant crawling on my hand, I then looked again and it was gone. You could say it jumped off or something, but I went down a thought trail and wondered if the ant was ever there in the first place? I had just read a book, ‘Genius, The Natural History of Creativity’ by H. J. Eysenck which explains that studies show more creative people tend to sit closer on the scale to psychosis. So wondering whether I’m immune to this trend was on my mind, if I am, am I not even that creative? Is the creativity a hallucination too? I continued the thought alongside this fresh new insight on psychology, it’s possible I imagined the ant… It’s possible I’m imagining everything around me. You could be insane and never know it. I shared the thought with a friend, she added we might not even be friends and either of us could be sitting there alone talking to ourselves. Then you add the reality that reality is just warped to your perspective and what you engage with. So if nothing’s real, then everything’s real and there’s no such thing as anything. From there I decided to paint the ants. I painted my hand but they’ve opened up a rabbit hole for me so I painted holes in the hands where birds fly in and out, like the birds in my artworks. I decided nothing’s real so the table turns into an ocean and some boats seem to be on struggle street knocked over. Then you’ll see that turns into a wave of water and travels into the distance. I tried making the room warp at the edges and the clouds sit as a pendant inside. This is an artwork I wanted to paint having recently seen a much older artwork ‘Personality’ and wanted to create a new one with the same spots. From there I painted a window and felt like painting someone on the other side looking in. On the inside I continued a very unexpected scene with the bird and light from the spots. While painting it I wanted to paint the idea of peeking into someone else’s thoughts or point of view, only after I finished the artwork I managed to put the idea together verbally and this isn’t my artwork on conspiracy theories (one on the way) but I’ve decided to look into many conspiracy theories as I find them interesting. So it’s peering into another world that exists alongside yours but it may be unsettlingly different. I decided to create another digital artwork with a doughnut in it since I haven’t created one in a while. While creating it I decided on a new idea, somewhat inspired by my ‘Raffe Popper’, but different and include the springs I’d just created using Blender. This artwork achieves something I’ve always wanted to show, movement so I really like the outcome.

In 2021 I shared an artwork named, ’Chocland’ which sold quite fast. A few people mentioned it when I discussed what artworks to include in my next colouring in book edition. A few weeks before completing this artwork I received a commission request and the week prior I’d coincidentally shared an artwork named ‘Commission’ expressing my disinterest in commissions. So naturally I said no, however when someone requests one I ask what they saw in the original artwork and to share their views. Then I’ll make something after a little research and if they like it, it’s up for grabs. If not, we all move on. I was told that the artlover saw synthwave in the original artwork and appreciated how unique it was in terms of the description of a commonplace object. They really enjoyed the composition. Sometimes an artwork takes you somewhere else, and if that’s what this is for them then I wanted to play on that instead of conveying a concept. I had a rule, red or green sky and no pears. If you watch the making video of this artwork you’ll see I began with green aiming to play on my recent artwork ‘Surrealists and Psychology’, then after talking to someone about this new artwork I changed it to red. That was probably a positive turn of events doing something entirely opposite to all except one artwork of mine, ‘Cheese’. Someone mentioned it’s not Synthwave without the car, I tried looking up which specific car but it seems to vary. Instead I added a reference to a car I once owned which I lined with indicators. I added the typical block sun, but dismantled. I’m personally always listening to 80’s rock instead of 80’s Synthwave and as I created the artwork I watched the Scorpions ‘Send Me an Angel’ with the red sky and square mountains so I added them as a sneaky link to a different 80’s world, with a tiny guitarist on top. I also have a few artworks synesthesia where I link shapes to sounds. During my hunt I found the beats consistent so I placed a row of cacti on the chocolate squares. Lasers that reflect the typical Synthwave blue triangle and just as I wrapped up the atrwork I learned the art lovers name so I found a reference in the Synthwave world and added it in. This is an artwork I thought up during my 80 artworks challenge although didn’t have time to fit it within the project since I wanted the artwork to become quite detailed. I recently created an artwork, ‘Smokey Bird’, which is what sparked the idea. Since birds fly around so quick I wanted to create an artwork with heaps of birds shooting around the page. It’s not quite what I imagined but hits the target!

This is the final digital artwork of my 80 artworks project! So I decided to create a giraffe as a party popper. This idea was sparked by my ‘Doughnut Town’ and in the future I continue these tiny things in digital artworks. This is still my favourite of them.

I decided to create this artwork during my 80 artworks challenge and in my surroundings sat my painting ‘Watching the Boats Sail Past’ which shows a bunch of boats which are doughnuts. I’ve tried plenty of times in the past to either paint a digital artwork or digitally create a painting and they never work out, the two genres are different. So here I am trying again! This ended up entirely different yet they both look good enough for me to feature though doughnut boats again. They still don’t cross over, I just now have two entirely different styles of doughbots, I’m not sure if this is the most successful attempt to cross over the genres either. The final artwork reminds me of a video game and the boss is a moon. Check out the art venture video of this one, there’s more documented on the making there.

This artwork is a sequel to the painting I shared before this one, it’s a horse representing a human seeking out a diagnosis in order to feel whole. This is the horse with its diagnosis, the horse proudly stands front and centre showing off it’s new skin. The previous artwork showed just a skeleton with cactuses in the background, this time, since I like to use cactuses to represent people this ones turned full cactus instead of regaining the horse shin showed in the previous artwork. Instead of the items in the landscape forming a slow progression to being organised this horses environment have everything perfectly in check. The rain falls perfectly across the perfectly spaced clouds and perfectly placed plants across a perfectly wavy ground. This horse is delusional, you can’t organise life so perfectly and it’s not a horse anymore. I placed a hidden bunny in the background since I was deep in the art making habit hole at this point in time. This painting is one of my 80 artworks and a challenge to keep within the time frame! I have an older artwork, ’Couchmellow’ that I felt like returning to now that I cleaned up the photo of my couch for the previous artwork ‘Elephant Moving Home’. I liked how in ‘Couchmellow’ I changed the colours of each cushion. The artwork also slightly draws the burning couch from ‘Couch Tree’. Alongside inserting what came to mind when creating the artwork. I included the tiny flying cars from various previous artworks and wanted to turn the couch into a bicycle just for the sake of it.

This is a digital artwork I created out of curiosity in what it would look like raining laser fruit. I also wanted to create something using the big wave, a night time scene and my fruit images. This was the final result which soon turns into another artwork.

This is an artwork I decided to paint after a break up, I don’t do those often so it definitely came as a refresher. I found it interesting insight, especially for people who get into relationships often… How are they keeping their emotions in check and willingly diving straight back into a relationship? I really worked on making sure to keep the appropriate emotion for whatever situation. In the painting I originally knew I wanted to paint a set of cubes, compartments, and definitely including a woman letting the water pour over while the one in the box below is bothered by her arm flopping down and holding a lighter to it. Instead I changed it to have no props in most of the boxes (check out the time-lapse and artventure videos to see the progress of this). They’re all in their boxes, however the nature of some emotions naturally intervenes with whatever their neighbours up to. Since I began my 80 artworks project shortly after starting this, I included it and the detail in this artwork definitely made the project more difficult! This is the artwork I made just before the one I released the week before this one, I chose to share them in reverse order since this ones a tad more cryptic to understand what you’re looking at, not having seen the other first. While I worked on my 80 artworks I looked around at other peoples art and saw how people used clouds as part of their objects. Something I’ve done before (‘Ice Cream Town’ as an example) but I haven’t turned the motorbike into one which means it’s time to do so! I then created the other because I thought it should be done.

This is one of the later artworks during my 80 artworks project and intentionally simple. I thought about how every generation is so different yet we all go through the same stages and one day I won’t know how to use the modern technology (that probably wont happen judging my grandma though, maybe something else). We’re all the same, so I wanted to paint a row of armchairs sliding across a hallway down toward a window all watching the same sight. This is one of my 80 artworks and I began this idea with the intent of capturing movement within a painting after looking at Wyndham Lewis’s artwork ‘A Battery Shelled’ and seeing the movement there. The artwork took a plot twist when I looked at the painting image again in daylight and thought I was looking at something entirely different. I continued creating a response to what I thought I saw. I aimed to paint a running statue catching a ball which then turned into a statue hand throwing it and I aimed for the other parts of the artwork to appear as if they’re mid motion. The artwork isn’t one of my favourites as it looks very different to my other paintings so I’m ‘on the fence’ with this one. Since I made it in October and months have passed before putting it up for sale I’m growing a liking to the result. In this artwork I decided to try a new tactic where you see above the ground and below. Since this was my first attempt and also during my 80 artworks I believe I could have done better. Either way, it’s not bad! I also aimed to have more of a landscape where my artwork showcases a scene instead of one centred item. The idea of this artwork is based on how nothing’s random. A passing thought when I joke about simulation theory. Then I wondered why there’s people who genuinely believe that random things happen… The thought that the entire world is a massive domino effect doesn’t apply in their version of reality. I believe things happen exactly as planned, whether you choose to do it through one way or another. To paint this I tried to show tunnels beneath the ground and one item in one end and something else on the other end, water enters one tunnel then wind exits another which turns into clouds. It all seems linked to me, go on and ask someone how often they needed something and it turns up on their curb side. I find it interesting to see just how many people this happens to. This is one of my 80 artworks and I wanted to create something that has my style and also similar to ‘Midnight Snack’, I believe I aced that part of my goal. I also wanted to paint this artwork as I’m often using banana’s in my artworks yet I can’t eat them. They’re just a novelty for me. I like to paint banana’s in a cubist way and off coloured so now when I see this shape I just see the fruit. The rest of the scene is just playful, I wanted them to be sliding down a slide and have birds also interacting.
