Nothing in the Desert

$350.00

41 x 3cm
x 30.5cm

3h 4m

I made this painting right after my Apple Tree painting and decided to carry on the idea of a pear shape which resembles the back of a woman’s head, also having so many paintings that feature one item in the centre I wanted to break away from a style I'd made for myself and feature repetition instead. I wanted the painting to appear as if there's a life-like presence in it yet not actually have anyone in it, Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Apple Tree

$390.00

30.5 x 3cm
x 30.5cm

6h 48m

This is a painting I made with the intention to play with illusions. I painted the bricks so that the viewer questions whats going on there, along with the wall, whether its painted the same colour as the sky or glass? At first, if you check out the video you might see this, I started to paint the woman as glass and ended up playing with the pear as if it resembles a woman. I also intended to paint the pear as a guitar although decided to paint it as is and add some attitude, as if it's slouching there. The aim of this painting was to create a serene scene, as if the pear and the woman-pear are watching the tree grow and drop fruit. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

I Love My Leather Gloves

$950.00

46 x 3cm
x 46cm

4h 27m

This is one of my more cryptic painting than the others, I painted a hand with a cow hide pattern and cows legs as finger tips to represent leather gloves. I've been working on changing the structure of my paintings so when painting this one I wanted to obstruct the view as opposed to looking directly on it. The same way extreme vegans may obstruct your admiration of a leather product which may have been sourced humanely. The sail on the tree is something I enjoyed painting and I'll continue it in another painting. Lockdown artwork from Sep 26. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Positive Disposition

$350.00

30 x 3cm
x 42cm

5h 10m

This painting is somewhat a follow-up on some of my digital artworks that I've created based on zoo animals with wheels for feet. As if they're in wheel chairs, there aren't enough artworks representing the disabled in my opinion. The painting is of two single coloured paintings where one is torn down and the other has the giraffes head peeking through it, like a window. The sky then rubs off on the giraffe and leaks into the home as if it represents a positive disposition. After understanding the differences and how society overlooks disabled people, I feel like they generally have a much more cheerful outlook on life than abled people I meet, a rare quality. This is one of my hand-stretched ones, has a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

Cigarette for Breakfast

$250.00

30.5 x 3cm
x 30.5cm

4h 27m

This is a painting I created with the idea in mind to make a floating fruit bowl wrapped in a white cloth. I called it Cigarette for Breakfast because it doesn't resemble nutrients or fruit at all, the white colour cloth is emptiness like when you ask someone what they had for breakfast and they tell you a cigarette... As if it's food. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Insomnia

$250.00

38 x 1.5cm
x 38cm

3h 5m

I made this painting during my lockdown challenge (finish one painting, colouring in my book or digital artwork each day) so during the lockdown I felt really short on time and I cut into my sleep often. I found it interesting that one week I only slept about four hours each night and it didn't seem to affect my productivity, this is the painting I made that week. Dreams are really interesting, I painted the globes handing off a thread as if they're the dream each night, warping the realities reflection behind each one. Commenting on how dreams can replay real life activities and twist the plot. I also need to practice making paintings with a red hue sky. Hand stretched, has a certificate of authenticity and sold with hooks ready to hang!

Get a Grip

$765.00

50 x 1.5cm
x 40cm

7h 1m

I originally had a very different idea in mind for this painting, if you watch the video you can see I began to paint a couple ideas and landed on this one. This was a lockdown challenge painting (I completed a colouring of my book, a digital art or painting) and I reckon if I weren't painting it as part of my challenge it would have been one of those paintings that takes weeeeeks. So I named it 'Get a Grip' because I certainly didn't have a grip on this one, although I'm satisfied with how it turned out. My mum see's it as ladders to heavan, I see a blobs not being contained by the wings and dripping down into the unknown. Oil Based, hand stretched, signed and ready to hang with a certificate of authenticity.

Hello, No

$350.00

42 x 3cm
x 30cm

4h 16m

I made this painting after learning that for each language there's a sign language... instead of there only being one universal sign language. So I learnt a bit, this painting has a hand on the left which says hello in Bulgarian (BSL) and no in Auslan. The whole genre seemed exclusive and excluded to me. Bulgaria only just passed a bill to recognize BSL as a language in January of this year (2021), before that, from what I've learnt, they would learn Russian sign language in school and then adopt their own in the real world. I feel like that's just how Bulgarians do things, their own way. I painted a clear sheet falling down, metaphorical for the language barriers. So you say “Hi” in Bulgarian and rejected with a “No” in Auslan. Oil Based, hand stretched, signed and ready to hang with a certificate of authenticity.

Droplets of Daydreams

$200.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 20cm

2h 37m

This is a painting I created where I have bubbles sitting on a landscape with sheets of water (like some of my previous paintings) resting on them. It reminded me of day-dreams, in this painting and once soon to follow I use bubbles to represent dreams/ the mind. Oil based, hand stretched, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Blasphemy of Decor Art

$600.00

39.5 x 3cm
x 50cm

14h 55m

I decided to paint my feelings on décor art. The walls are cactus spikes, like some of my best paintings, at the bottom I painted a man hanging a frame (the décor art.......) as if he's framing the wall and at the top I painted a nod to renaissance art where you can see roof arches and biblical characters in them. Jesus is on the right, dead and holding up two fingers as his coat melts and flies away in the form of little birds. On the right you can see a man ready to jump the wall (for a fihgt), being held back by another and a woman watching over, hiding. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Dreaming of Tidal Waves

$300.00

50 x 3cm
x 39.5cm

8h 36m

I used to have dreams of tidal waves, people like to jump to conclusions and say that's anxiety.. I reckon sometimes dreams are just dreams, especially if you remember them all you're bound to have some that aren't boring. I found these dreams pretty cool because as time went on I learnt how to dream-swim and beat the tidal wave. Then when I figured it out the dreams changed. The last one I climbed up on top of a building and the water settled around all the buildings into a flood, so this is that. I wanted to paint the sky so that it blends in with the water, like an actual dream you cant tell what's what. I decided not to paint the top of the head because there's no thinking in dreams. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Andy's Song

$450.00

30.5 x 3cm
x 31cm

7h 50m

This panting is music, I recently sold an artwork and the buyer received it then responded with a piece of music he created inspired by the artwork. That piece of music then inspired me to create this artwork. You'd need to watch the last 30s of the video to really get it. When I recently looked up a Kandinsky documentary on his synaesthesia and music he was able to identify instruments to their colours, I feel like music is so saturated with synthetic sounds I'm not there yet.. although this piece was quite clear, the beat are dark blue spots floating high up in the air, the higher piano keys are pink stairs and the lower piano are light blue floating sheets of water. The artwork also had a very bright vibe to it so I needed the artwork to be in day time. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Birds Eye View

$300.00

38 x 2cm
x 38cm

7h 17m

I haven't made a birds eye view painting since I was little so I decided I need one in my portfolio. At first I started painting the painting as a giant bird in the desert cages in by arrows, I wanted the spots to be seeping off the bird into the desert. Instead I ended up painting, what I see as, a bird in the sky and we're viewing the cage from the birds view (just above it) the spots ended up curving as it's own cage downward to the top and upward at the bottom, so if you saw it on the side view the cage of spots would be an S shape. The painting reminds me of how people perceive lockdown (currently in a massive one), in the cage or being the cage? I chose to use lockdown to my advantage and whip out an artwork a day, I'm not in the cage in this case. It's up to the viewer to decide how they interpret this painting. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Schadenfreude

$370.00

50 x 1.7cm
x 39.5cm

6h 15m

Scadenfreude is when people find enjoyment from other people failing.. Somewhat similar to survival of the fittest. I started the painting with an entirely different idea in mind, when I listen to the song 'Hotel California' I whip up an image of a house that shaped like a head, gold and in the middle of a desert. I started to paint that and then didn't.. When I started painting this I also re-watched a Bosch documentary which highlighted the right panel of 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' where a woman is made of egg shell. So I decided to paint eggs building houses from the cracked egg shells of other eggs. I painted the eggs to represent peoples minds.. As I see it, survival of the fittest is a mental game in this century (besides Rona). This is one of my hand-stretched ones, has a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

The Essence of Freedom

$350.00

38 x 3cm
x 38cm

7h 36m

I started off painting this painting with the intention of making a raised platform with a boat floating on top.. Didn't happen. Sometimes the paintings I make just make themselves and are entirely unplanned, this one ended up with vines and by that time I'd decided I wanted flowers at the end of the vines to be birds. The way I see it is the vines are your roots and when the flower blossoms and drained everything it can from the roots then the birds fly away. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

Entering the Desert

$220.00

30.5 x 3cm
x 31cm

3h 21m

I made this painting based on a digital artwork I created a couple years back in terms of layout, creating it revolved more around the time frame I gave myself and just creating it so I didn't have a concept in mind. I had to name it so I based the name on another painting I recently finished which also has a floating crossing, as if they're connected and this is the day time version. I ended up really focusing on the texture of the floor because I told insta that they can decide when I start painting a different section.. No one opted for me to move on so it ended up really detailed; that taught me that I can do better. It's up to the viewer to interpret how they see it. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Listening

$250.00

32 x 3cm
x 32.5cm

3h 35m

I've been super pear focused lately, probably because I've been making more artworks in a shorter space of time and the topics of each merge together. So I made another pear! I wanted to follow up on the style of my recent 'Spotty Pig' as I noticed quite a few people saved that one.I almost left this artwork just as a spotty pear although right before I thought I finished I watched a Bosch documentary which caused me to think twice about leaving it simple. So I added a cage and an ear. After finishing it, it reminded me of listening.. how there's sound around you and sometimes you ignore the sounds and sometimes you absorb them and contemplate. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Limbo

$780.00

48 x 3cm
x 47cm

7h 11m

Sometimes when I'm painting I have a bit of a rest next to the easel as a mini break, before I painted this artwork I took one of those breaks and as I looked at the ceiling wondered when my career will take off. So I started painting the painting as if the face is emerging from the ground and when I flipped it to add detail I changed my mind and decided it would be better as the roof, as if someone's looking down, watching back. I painted the ladder hanging from the roof as if it's painting the face which is watching. Painting the career I'm hunting for. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

No Entry

$300.00

41 x 1.5cm
x 51cm

4h 4m

This is an anti totalitarian artwork. There can't be a society where everyones an entrepreneur or everyone does what they're told, it just wouldn't work. I feel like I could have captured that idea better, perhaps in a darker scene. I painted a road with a directional arrow being pulled up into the direction of the life boat, a lollipop representing the no entry street sign and in the corner a hand of someone who's legged it. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Spotty Pig

$550.00

51 x 1.5cm
x 41cm

6h 42m

Lately my digital artworks have been receiving a bit more attention then my paintings, although fair enough though I've been making some solid ones while experimenting on techniques with my paintings. So I thought I'd channel into the style I create my digital artworks in. I thought turning animals spotty and surreal was easier in digital form. It definitely takes less time, although this reminded me of a statement my brother made something along the lines of being able to do way more with paintings than digital artworks, because all you need is paint. I find that particularly true with this painting as I could work on the fur with much more detail than I could in Photoshop, I also dont have any photo's of pigs in this pose... I also started painting the pig a day and a half before finishing the painting so I wonder how it would turn out if I gave myself more time. Overall, when I watch cooking shows and how they transform the animal products into something entirely unrecognisable and beautiful makes wonder what the other animals of that species would think if they were watching it, this painting reminds me of that. It also reminds me of a very well glazed cake. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Crossing The Desert

$650.00

102 x 3cm
x 51cm

8h 45m

Lately I'm focusing on building my skills (and using up my black so I can replenish my paints into just the shades and primary colours..) so I made this dark desert, at first I visualised a floating crossing in the desert and as I painted I decided to make it never ending and then on an adventure with my mum an idea popped into mind where I should paint trees that bend downward into street lights. I also decided to change the way I paint desert grounds, adding more detail. I think that if I organised myself better I could have added more detail, we'll see how these skills progress. So essentially it's up to the viewer to decide how they interpret the painting. I like to see it as a pathway made especially for you, forming itself as you as it progresses, directing you where you need to be. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Perspectives

$400.00

51 x 3cm
x 40.5cm

9h 33m

I found it interesting how people have a different perspective of you as you, for instance, successful people could make it look easy while from their perspective they would see all the hard work. So I made a mirror reflection of a woman where her reflection shows the wrinkles and everything normal while the woman on our side is made of gold. I haven't yet mastered how to paint gold although I'm a firm believer that when you have an opportunity to finish a painting, it's done and that's a reflection of your skill level at the time. So this is my skill level on painting gold at the moment, hoping to improve. I also managed to convince myself a week before finishing this painting that I couldn't paint people... PMS. So I finished the painting and I can paint people. This was definitely a challenge! This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

Chocland

$200.00

61 x 3cm
x 30.5cm

8h 37m

I decided to paint a painting practicing elements I've used in other recent paintings, the stripy sky and instead a continuous chocolate block as land. I feel like this painting would have been finished even without the bicycle in it. It's up to the viewer to decide how they interpret this painting. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

On a Scale of Motivation and Talent

$650.00

51 x 3cm
x 40cm

6h 4m

I've had this painting in mind for a very long time although only just got around to it, in my head I imagined just one pear but thats not how I did it when it came to painting it. It's a scale in the form of a painting. I've met people, not recently, who brag about how bad they are at art, and I agree that you can't be taught how to art, you're either born with the genetic make-up or not. Although in saying that I believe that even if you suck, the fact that you have hands and can brush your teeth competently means that you can make basic shapes and shading with a little motivation. On the left of the artwork I painted as if I had no motivation and no talent, gradually increasing the level of recognition to end up with what it would look like when painting with talent and motivation (ignoring abstract, impressionism, figurative styles etc.). I then played with it and changed the colours and placed the pears up the wall and turned the curtain to water because I'm a surrealist, and my skills allow me to. I also found it interesting that while painting it I realised pears are more yellow than green. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Definitely Not Penrose or MC Escher Stairs

$500.00

61 x 3cm
x 61cm

10h 15m

I wanted to make a painting similar to the Penrose or M.C. Escher stairs although I didn't want to look at the artwork before making this because I wanted mine to look different, I also didn't want to include stairs so I just ended up with something entirely different. I included elements which I include in my paintings and the main block screamed chocolate so I turned it into a chocolate bar. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

The Feeling of Disrespect

$500.00

45.5 x 3cm
x 31cm

11h 15m

Someone I know threw a little disrespect my way to get ahead and to be frank it made me feel a bit shitty for a day and a bit, I feel like I've usually got my mood in check so I thought this would be a prime opportunity to paint how I felt! Especially (astrology term) since my MC is in the sign of Cancer (an emotional sign) which explain to me that if I tap into emotion then my career would do better as opposed to if I didn't. I chose to put waves of lighter shades in the sky because things seemed a bit dizzy, I painted a large window/ doorway because it seemed cold, a bit drafty, rough grounds and floppy arms. Emotional pain causes the same brain response to physical so I guess thats why my arms felt down as well. The black dots, tears. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

Sarcastic Doughnut

$300.00

45.5 x 3cm
x 31cm

5h 35m

I made this painting with a goal in mind to paint the look of gold, I recently had some digital artworks of gold doughnuts I created printed and wanted to wrap my mind around why a printer can print CMYK and have the image look gold and whether I could be just as precise with my flat colours and tones to create gold. I think I need more practice and do think it's somewhat doable although I'm not there yet. I call it sarcastic doughnut, as if the doughnuts saying “Yeah man, I can be gold”. This is one of my hand-stretched ones, has a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

Survival Instinct

$805.00

46 x 3cm
x 35.5cm

6h 40m

I'm often surrounded by women who are have boys on their mind 24/7, I don't really comprehend how they have so much mental bandwidth for the topic although after years of listening to their stories that seem almost parallel to the previous or another woman's story I recently noticed a pattern where they always tell me their fantasies of the future. They'll get married, the guy will support them with XYZ, live happily ever after and she'll have less problems (as if it's connected). It clicked for me, I finally realise that this is their survival instinct, if these women I'm meeting focus on one topic, the men, instead of various topics such as career and independence then their future is sorted. This is my piece of mind and I can now justify why some women can be so obsessed, instead of thinking to myself in a critical manner. When I put this thought into a picture in my mind, I see a glass woman with a man trapped inside as her brain. Pink dots on the floor which also cover the glass statues, blending into the surrounding environment. The trapped men have no clothes because clothes would give them identity and from my point of view it doesn't look like the personality or anything individual about the men seems to matter. I put a man escaped in the background for giggles. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones (not framed), has a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni vs da Vinci

$350.00

46 x 3cm
x 35.5cm

8h 45m

I decided to paint this painting after watching a string of documentaries, by chance I watched Michelangelo after de Vinci and feel like I already knew they shared a lifetime although just found it interesting. Since they weren't friends I decided to paint them having a battle. I covered the floor in each of their most famous painting, ironically that seems to be the territory they fought over, yet neither of them reported to enjoy painting. The sky on da Vinci's side is darker, as If the suns set on him, Michelangelo is on a platform, as if it's similar to the one he painted the Sistine Chapel on, fighting with his statue of David. De Vinci (the man on the ground) fights wearing the armour he designed and also uses some weapons he designed. Hand stretched, sold with a certificate of authenticity and hooks ready to hang! Not framed and oil based.

Tofu

$650.00

61 x 1.7cm
x 30cm

6h 15m

When I was younger there wasn't much lactose free substitutes available and always thought that when I get older there'll be heaps. There aren't (in Australia) although I find it somewhat ironic that major companies opt to jump straight to vegan food to be inclusive of those with intolerances. Yet I'd prefer to opt out of those products and make my own, entirely skipping on the mass production. I see tofu as a kind of “fake” food, it's often mimicking other food and never the hero of a meal. This painting's mocking vegan food (as I do.. lol), the pear represents the tofu and a clear drape over it as if it's a cow hide, my representation of when people use tofu to make “meat”. Instead of human cameramen I used pink peacocks because I feel the genre is super glorified, often in the spotlight and shaming other diets. It's ultimately up to the viewer to determine how they want to perceive the painting. Sold with hooks, ready to hang, a certificate of authentication and oil based!

Problems

$350.00

45.5 x 3cm
x 30.5cm

5h 40m

A thought crossed my mind where everyone always has a problem they're dealing with, I don't believe anyone's left without a problem for long. So I painted this maze, the person in the painting builds crossings at each dead end, one section where they cut a plank from the ground (using the recourses you have) and other ladders made from ropes dropped from the sky. I really enjoyed this painting, although I don't believe it's reached it potential so I'll be making a large sequel as soon as I get my hands on a canvas of that size. Hand stretched and always sold with hooks and ready to hang!

Car Lessons

$300.00

35.5 x 3cm
x 45.5cm

9h 35m

Recently I retired my latest car.. reluctantly. Which caused me to reflect on how my previous cars have held a theme for what I was doing at that time in my life. My first car, I never liked the colour and didn't have a choice in it (although purchased it myself) from 'day dot' I said I'd paint it blue. It never turned out blue but I gained some skills spray-painting cars, this car went all the colours. The day it was written off I had big plans for the next spray. The next car, above it. I carried on the spray-painting only once and learnt how to wire up electricity. I ended up putting 22 indicators on it, like a mini truck, and put another models headlights on it. The bottom lit up with blue as I high-beamed. That car didn't last long. The final car I decided it was time to look like an adult, so I sprayed it only to fix the previous owners blemishes. I kept the lights as normal to possible and practiced how to advertise with it (without permanently altering the car). Since this painting I've tied in all the lessons I'd learnt from my previous cars in my new one, I've sprayed it, hooked up lights and made an unmissable advertisement for my books. I found it very interesting how people become attached to cars and not other objects, as if you become the car. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Love Symphony

$500.00

46 x 3cm
x 30.5cm

6h 50m

I made this painting with more of a goal to improve my technical skills although I started it while listening to the song 'It's Raining Men' so I decided to make a painting on what a symphony themed around lvoe would look like, with a hint of chromesthesia. The man is a glass statue sitting on Venus and the constellation in the sky is Taurus (ruled by Venus). He holds a red blanket that creeps along the land forming it's own extensions. The painting isn't framed, is sold with hooks, a certificate of authenticity, hand stretched and ready to hang!

Solid Choice

$650.00

50 x 3cm
x 50cm

8h 40m

I decided to make a paining of a moment. I once had a romance with a guy for years and he stood out from the rest but it didn't work out and I never looked him up again. I was posting a load of my books last year and I noticed him glancing my way for a noticeable amount of time. The painting shows a woman made of sand building her life path, her hand moves the bricks away from the direction of the statue, her mind guides it and her legs walk it. Moving forward in every respect. A light river of gossip crosses her path yet not strong enough to move any of the bricks. His statue once sand has turned to glass, decorated with two memories and surrounded with clouds vaguely signifying wolfs which represents his friends. The glass, solidifying his choices, never to catch up with the front of her path ever again. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

Seventh Lifetime

$250.00

30.5 x 3cm
x 23cm

2h 40m

I started this with the intention to make a painting with a cow hide floor in the desert, where the hide is the ground. I then made the painting as I went along and painted bones then birds emerging from the hide, flying into the clouds and seedlings sprouting. When I finished the painting I decided to name it after what comes to mind when I look at it, reincarnation comes to mind. I named it 7th lifetime because I wanted to leave the feeling with the viewer that it's a cycle on repeat. In the distance a red planet, red for energy. This artwork isn't one of my hand-stretched ones, has a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

Round and Brown

$200.00

30.5 x 3cm
x 45.6cm

4h 20m

A while back I purchased a date, banana and coconut juice, my mates asked me what it tasted like and I told them “round and brown”, synaesthesia Usually I'd get a response something along the lines of being called weird.. and I'd learnt to brush it off, recently learning that it's the way my brain connects senses. When I taste food a visual composition accompanies it. When I tasted the banana, date and coconut juice I'd see a clear and matte white sphere floating around with a cool breezy environment, I'd also see a shade of brown emerge on the side that's faded away on the sphere. So this is that composition that I see in my minds eye, only more detailed as if it were a landscape. Hand stretched, sold with a certificate of authenticity and hooks ready to hang!

Stranger

$330.00

46 x 3cm
x 30cm

5h 20m

This idea came to mind a few months ago after a guy who was learning to be a journalist asked me for an interview, I eventually asked for it to be removed from everywhere. After pondering on this idea for a while I began to realise that most, if not all the people in my life don't really or entirely know me. Some had been in my life the entire time and couldn't even tell you my pass times, other's I had just met and after a few meetings they still hadn't figured out I'm an artist (which is what my life revolves around). Imagine every second of your life is written in a book, the book grows each day and someone comes along and rips out a few paragraphs and runs off as if they've figured you out 100%. That's what I've painted here, the person runs off and in the background flails the page into the wind as birds pick off the words and leave them scattered. No one ever truly knows you and no one ever will. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, although always sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Cheese

$250.00

40.5 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

2h 50m

A few weeks back my mates asked me what this juice that I made tasted like and I told them.. “round and brown”. I repeated myself because I often confuse people with some of the things I say and they told me “Oh you're synesthetic”. I had no clue what they meant.. At first I thought that meant that you see colours with music although soon learnt it includes any trigger of another sense when using a different one. After a week of going in a google rabbit hole I learnt that I do a few.. But this painting is based on tasting the shapes and colours of flavours. This is cheese, I'm lactose intolerant so there's only one yellow cheese I can buy, it doesn't say what type and this is what I see when I taste cheese. A rich smooth orange/red brown (like the Australian earth colour, the yellow sunset is the sharp aftertaste that follows, yet, I'm not focused on that) and the cheese has a wide flavour, so I express the wide-ness as a clear sheet (warmer than glass) floating over and moulding with the curves of the ground that stretches as far as you can see. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Sewing

$250.00

46 x 3cm
x 30cm

3h 0m

I decided to make this artwork after painting “Avoidance” inspired by the way the ground looked in my previous painting, it reminded me of sewing. So I made this one with similar looking ground and a sewing needle from the sky sewing the ground together. A trail of green thread creates seedlings and the excess thread falls to the ocean in the background which birds emerge from This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, has a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

Primary Flavours

$280.00

30 x 3cm
x 38cm

5h 0m

This is a painting I made based on the concept of primary colours, where you can mix yellow, blue and red in any combination along with the shades black and white to make any colour. I went through a mini phase in 2020 trying to improve my cooking and thought why can't making flavours be like making colours? Why can't we assign sour sweet ect. In order to make it clear what goes “well” together. The painting is a skewer of a lemon (yellow/ sour), blueberry (blue/ sweet) and chilli (red/ spicy) dripping down their colours where the drips mix to form a watermelon which floats to the surface, in the background are oranges and cucumbers already formed. This painting warrants a second thought after I show off my painting “Cheese”, one I made a few weeks later after learning something about my brain and flavours. Hand stretched and always sold with hooks a certificate of authenticity and ready to hang!

Printing Thoughts

$390.00

61 x 3cm
x 30.5cm

8h 10m

I made this painting after a session where I recorded colouring in my self- published colouring in book, so I set the camera to record the painting and wondered were my piece of paper was, as if I needed it to copy onto the canvas, I was still in colouring in mode. Then I thought I should make a painting of a brain connected to a printer “printing” the paintings out. Hand stretched and always sold with hooks a certificate of authenticity and ready to hang!

Devils Lake

$300.00

38 x 3cm
x 38cm

5h 20m

This is a painting inspired by an event, Uranus transiting my 7th house, where you tend to shake off relationships that aren't working. I had some people from a past life lure their way back in only to notice the same patterns started before I'd even seen them. The lake has spikes, I imagine how uncomfortable that lake would be to swim in.. spiky water which is fenced off, a barrier. I've painted a hand (mine) stretching down from the sky dipping it's finger in the water through the fence, expressing how much of a stretch it would be for me to actually give that lake any real attention. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Anxiety

$330.00

40.5 x 3cm
x 30cm

5h 20m

I thought I'd make a painting showing how I'd assume anxiety feels, although I don't really relate to the painting which made it more difficult to make it look different to how it looks. Over-all, ironically, I still don't vibe with it. Looks like that's what happens when you paint about something you don't know! I've painted a perfectly shaped mask hiding a face which is melting away, the surroundings are glasses falling and breaking and clouds cover the eye holes making it dark for the person behind the mask. This canvas is hand stretched, will be sold with hooks and has a certificate of authenticity.

Fruits of my Labour

$1,100.00

92 x 3cm
x 92cm

9h 35m

This is a painting of a pear with a cow hide skin growing from a hand shaped tree with sparkles on it, the inside of the pear has a ladder and birds flying from it. I had this canvas sitting waiting to be started and I just decided that I wanted to paint a pear with a cow hide skin in a dim setting, I had no intention with meaning behind it, so like a viewer seeing the painting for the first time I decided what it meant for me after I completed it. I’m a big fan of cow hides, using the whole cow. I have a few and to me they’re a medal, like when you make one the star of you’re home you’re showing off the sacrifices the cow made throughout it’s life, I painted (and own) holstein cow hides which is the cow that produces milk, so the idea of how many babies and people in general that cow gave it’s nutrients to and the hard work comes to mind when I wonder about a life it would have had. Pears in my paintings also play along with the metaphor when people say something went “pear shaped”. So I personally see it that the pear is the life/home I’m building through my hand crafted career. Oil Based, signed with a certificate of authenticity and ready to hang.

Religion of Time

$300.00

38 x 1.7cm
x 30cm

2h 45m

This painting was inspired by a little tangent I went on after being asked the question “What's your biggest weakness” when I put myself up for an opportunity. I ended up saying something along the lines of “I don't get why people get so bothered when you're late or bad with time.. It's like they've chosen to live their life strictly to a religion of time and expect everyone else to do the same in dictatorship. I don't live my life by that religion and that should be acceptable”. I found that a little funny, hyperbolic yet resinates. So this is my painting to represent it. The statue is my head, I guess, just a female, made of sand emerging from the ground and cut off as if it's thoughts are purely time. My clock has no order, the numbers float away, turning into yellow birds. The water also represents the constant flowing where you'll (in general) never get a grip. It's hand stretched with a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks.

Hiatus

$600.00

49.5 x 1.7cm
x 40cm

6h 45m

I made this painting reminiscent of time when I disappear in terms of the internet. When I was younger I like to disable my personal social media accounts over the summers, forcing people to actually interact with me like they would in the early 2000's, via mobile. When they would, the time was always more respected. I liked that no one would know what I'm up to unless they see me and ask, somewhat mysterious or a surprise. So, I painted the cactus (my cactuses represent human) in all the colours, because my hiatuses are always the most fun, also because when someone posts more colourful posts it reflects their state of mind. You don't know what's making this cactus rainbow, but you can see it is. Hand stretched, has a certificate of authenticity and sold with hooks ready to hang!

Avoidance

$250.00

61 x 3cm
x 51cm

2h 20m

I painted this with an idea that was a little more 2D in mind although happy with how it turned out. It's a cloud floating low and ground crumbling beneath to avoid touching it. This canvas is hand stretched, will be sold with hooks and has a certificate of authenticity.

ROMSOM

$575.00

50 x 1.7cm
x 37.5cm

3h 30m

I made this painting with a study in mind that showed people who are more depressed tend to post more black and white images to social media, using colour as a snapshot reflection of their state of mind. So I called it ROMSOM, reflection of my state of mind, also because I love using these clouds in my digital artwroks. They remind me of candy popcorn. It's hand stretched with a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks.

RGB

$300.00

56 x 1.5cm
x 40cm

7h 50m

I made this painting following a digital artwork of fruit that wasn't the correct shapes, and ran with the banana idea. The concept is based around the way lots of people live their lives, unnaturally posed in front of a screen ordering takeaway, connected to the other screens and that's their reality. The outdoors of the painting was going to include magenta (to have a mix of CMYK.. graphic design jargon) although it looked too space-like for my liking. It's hand stretched with a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks.

Digital Art

$250.00

50 x 1.5cm
x 37cm

4h 20m

This painting is a lightbulb, painting a landscape, or perceive it however you like. I painted it as a point of view. Often seeing people online smudging pixels in Photoshop calling the pieces “paintings”, literally, bothers me. When people do this they take away from the skill of painting, once having experienced an unhappy customer who requested a mural from me, only to find out she'd been looking at digital art, not paintings as a reference of what would result. Those are not paintings, there is no paint. So this is my painting about these “paintings”. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!
