When I was younger there wasn't much lactose free substitutes available and always thought that when I get older there'll be heaps. There aren't (in Australia) although I find it somewhat ironic that major companies opt to jump straight to vegan food to be inclusive of those with intolerances. Yet I'd prefer to opt out of those products and make my own, entirely skipping on the mass production. I see tofu as a kind of “fake” food, it's often mimicking other food and never the hero of a meal. This painting's mocking vegan food (as I do.. lol), the pear represents the tofu and a clear drape over it as if it's a cow hide, my representation of when people use tofu to make “meat”. Instead of human cameramen I used pink peacocks because I feel the genre is super glorified, often in the spotlight and shaming other diets. It's ultimately up to the viewer to determine how they want to perceive the painting. Sold with hooks, ready to hang, a certificate of authentication and oil based!

This painting is a sequel to my painting 'Priorities' which is a pineapple pyramid (sold). The original idea came from the Pharaohs pyramids crossed with witnessing how people around me would spend money on unhealthy items for instant gratification then sulk about the repercussions.. rinse and repeat. So instead of making a painting of a pyramid symbolising the possessions and status I painted a cubist fruit to represent investing in your heath as opposed to things that don't actually contribute to your life in a positive way. In this painting I painted strawberry print for the first time and also included flamingos with peacock tails (the ultimate show-off bird), The strawberries leaves become wings or vice versa and this painting is one where I experimented with depth by blurring the background. This painting is a pineapple growing from the ground (like a carrot) taking the shape of a Pyramid, like the ones in Egypt. I thought of the idea that Pharoahs would bury their possesions with them and then created a visual metaphor for the lack of priorities today. I'm noticing that people would rather spend their money on having an unhealthy desert or an experience without considering how putting the money to something less self-sabotaging could make them just as happy. Building their own pyramid of treasures, not fruit. Others could read into this much further considering the textures etc. Oil Based, hand stretched, signed and ready to hang with a certificate of authenticity.

Mercury Retrograde

This is a painting that I began painting with the idea to create a cactus print on a pear and a cow hide print on a cactus, these ideas came to mind from past paintings such as 'Fruits of My Labour' and 'Trauma'. I began with that idea as I've just started a new, more fine roll of canvas and a perfect opportunity to work on more details! By the time I'd worked through the painting I ended up using colours I'm not a fan of (the red hue orange) and ended up going with it by adding a sheer plastic. I use the cactus and cowhide pears in my paintings to represent yourself, this time with lollipops in it representing my projects reminiscent of the representation of Mercury (reddish-orange) and the plastic is the retrograde. If you're into astrology then you'd know that Mercury retrograde puts a halt on things so this is how I wanted to represent that. Love Symphony

I made this painting with more of a goal to improve my technical skills although I started it while listening to the song 'It's Raining Men' so I decided to make a painting on what a symphony themed around lvoe would look like, with a hint of chromesthesia. The man is a glass statue sitting on Venus and the constellation in the sky is Taurus (ruled by Venus). He holds a red blanket that creeps along the land forming it's own extensions. The painting isn't framed, is sold with hooks, a certificate of authenticity, hand stretched and ready to hang!

This panting is music, I recently sold an artwork and the buyer received it then responded with a piece of music he created inspired by the artwork. That piece of music then inspired me to create this artwork. You'd need to watch the last 30s of the video to really get it. When I recently looked up a Kandinsky documentary on his synaesthesia and music he was able to identify instruments to their colours, I feel like music is so saturated with synthetic sounds I'm not there yet.. although this piece was quite clear, the beat are dark blue spots floating high up in the air, the higher piano keys are pink stairs and the lower piano are light blue floating sheets of water. The artwork also had a very bright vibe to it so I needed the artwork to be in day time. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Schadenfreude

Scadenfreude is when people find enjoyment from other people failing.. Somewhat similar to survival of the fittest. I started the painting with an entirely different idea in mind, when I listen to the song 'Hotel California' I whip up an image of a house that shaped like a head, gold and in the middle of a desert. I started to paint that and then didn't.. When I started painting this I also re-watched a Bosch documentary which highlighted the right panel of 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' where a woman is made of egg shell. So I decided to paint eggs building houses from the cracked egg shells of other eggs. I painted the eggs to represent peoples minds.. As I see it, survival of the fittest is a mental game in this century (besides Rona). This is one of my hand-stretched ones, has a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

The Essence of Freedom

I started off painting this painting with the intention of making a raised platform with a boat floating on top.. Didn't happen. Sometimes the paintings I make just make themselves and are entirely unplanned, this one ended up with vines and by that time I'd decided I wanted flowers at the end of the vines to be birds. The way I see it is the vines are your roots and when the flower blossoms and drained everything it can from the roots then the birds fly away. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni vs da Vinci

I decided to paint this painting after watching a string of documentaries, by chance I watched Michelangelo after de Vinci and feel like I already knew they shared a lifetime although just found it interesting. Since they weren't friends I decided to paint them having a battle. I covered the floor in each of their most famous painting, ironically that seems to be the territory they fought over, yet neither of them reported to enjoy painting. The sky on da Vinci's side is darker, as If the suns set on him, Michelangelo is on a platform, as if it's similar to the one he painted the Sistine Chapel on, fighting with his statue of David. De Vinci (the man on the ground) fights wearing the armour he designed and also uses some weapons he designed. Hand stretched, sold with a certificate of authenticity and hooks ready to hang! A thought crossed my mind where everyone always has a problem they're dealing with, I don't believe anyone's left without a problem for long. So I painted this maze, the person in the painting builds crossings at each dead end, one section where they cut a plank from the ground (using the recourses you have) and other ladders made from ropes dropped from the sky. I really enjoyed this painting, although I don't believe it's reached it potential so I'll be making a large sequel as soon as I get my hands on a canvas of that size. Dreaming of Tidal Waves

I used to have dreams of tidal waves, people like to jump to conclusions and say that's anxiety.. I reckon sometimes dreams are just dreams, especially if you remember them all you're bound to have some that aren't boring. I found these dreams pretty cool because as time went on I learnt how to dream-swim and beat the tidal wave. Then when I figured it out the dreams changed. The last one I climbed up on top of a building and the water settled around all the buildings into a flood, so this is that. I wanted to paint the sky so that it blends in with the water, like an actual dream you cant tell what's what. I decided not to paint the top of the head because there's no thinking in dreams. Birds Eye View

I haven't made a birds eye view painting since I was little so I decided I need one in my portfolio. At first I started painting the painting as a giant bird in the desert cages in by arrows, I wanted the spots to be seeping off the bird into the desert. Instead I ended up painting, what I see as, a bird in the sky and we're viewing the cage from the birds view (just above it) the spots ended up curving as it's own cage downward to the top and upward at the bottom, so if you saw it on the side view the cage of spots would be an S shape. The painting reminds me of how people perceive lockdown (currently in a massive one), in the cage or being the cage? I chose to use lockdown to my advantage and whip out an artwork a day, I'm not in the cage in this case. It's up to the viewer to decide how they interpret this painting. Sarcastic Doughnut

I made this painting with a goal in mind to paint the look of gold, I recently had some digital artworks of gold doughnuts I created printed and wanted to wrap my mind around why a printer can print CMYK and have the image look gold and whether I could be just as precise with my flat colours and tones to create gold. I think I need more practice and do think it's somewhat doable although I'm not there yet. I call it sarcastic doughnut, as if the doughnuts saying “Yeah man, I can be gold”. Entering the Desert

I made this painting based on a digital artwork I created a couple years back in terms of layout, creating it revolved more around the time frame I gave myself and just creating it so I didn't have a concept in mind. I had to name it so I based the name on another painting I recently finished which also has a floating crossing, as if they're connected and this is the day time version. I ended up really focusing on the texture of the floor because I told insta that they can decide when I start painting a different section.. No one opted for me to move on so it ended up really detailed; that taught me that I can do better. It's up to the viewer to interpret how they see it. Droplets of Daydreams

This is a painting I created where I have bubbles sitting on a landscape with sheets of water (like some of my previous paintings) resting on them. This artwork is one of many remakes of my artwork, ‘Tofu’, 2021. I’ve been recreating the artwork for an art battle where artists compete to create an artwork in twenty minutes. For this particular one I decided to go busking however there was a one hour time limit so I decided to paint this one and one other. You can see the live recording on one of my YouTube channels. This artwork took 30 minutes and a few touchups, unfortunately no tips and no one bid to buy it. This artwork isn’t like my other ones in the sense that It’s a “canvas” print that I painted over, created with acrylic and it’s stretched onto MDF.
