Fate

$1,200.00

116 x 3.5cm
x 90cm

0h 0m

My first cactus artwork was a hit and people encouraged me to create more, of the same… After a while I learnt that people who aren’t artists have very bad marketing ideas, you reading this are no exception. But I gave it a go. The original artwork is a cactus with paint being poured on it, ‘Trauma’ and is pretty much just dealing with life. This is the prequel to it where the paint hasn’t landed yet. I don’t have words in my artworks so that’s what’s going on with the label. People need to interpret art, not be told what’s going on in it. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

The Guitar Player

$800.00

60 x 3cm
x 60cm

15h 5m

This is an appropriation of the artwork 'The Guitar Player' by Jean-Baptiste Greuze 1755-60 71 x 56cm. I haven't seen the original in real life although managed to copy most of it from a small book. The appropriation is based on the object that the guitar player is holding, in the original he holds an actual guitar and in my appropriation he holds a computer with Logic Pro X open which shows tracks; differentiating between then and now. Mix between romanticism and surrealism. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

EDM

$750.00

38 x 2cm
x 76cm

4h 30m

This is a painting I made of a cactus floating in the ocean shooting coloured lasers. I call it EDM for electronic dance music. Oil Based, hand stretched, signed and ready to hang!

Canvas Prints

$750.00

92 x 2.5cm
x 61.5cm

9h 0m

This is an artwork I created out of despise for people purchasing canvas prints. You can see a bulldozer dumping identical canvas prints into a pit with a tree influencing that and setting it a light. Canvas prints are made of plastic and MDF, they're built to be disposable and I don't consider them art. The economy pours so much money into this fast-turning-trash and I'm not convinced it's because the consumers see meaning in these “abstract” prints of splotches. I believe canvas prints contribute considerably to the yearly trash load and play a huge part in creating a tough environment for artists to thrive. This is not one of my hand stretched artworks, nor framed, although is ready to hang. Oil based.

Surrender

$700.00

50 x 1.7cm
x 60cm

4h 0m

This is a painting I thought of while listening to the song 'White Flag' by Dido. The main part of the painting is a sunken sail which takes the shape of a white flag not catching wind, I made it to represent a fallen relationship while the other boats sail in the clouds. Turned out to be a pretty grim painting although it doesn't seem to reflect my perception at the moment. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

Media

$660.00

42 x 4cm
x 42cm

0h 0m

This artwork was inspired by the way media interprets stories and collectively promote one end when in real life there are always many sides to the story. The artwork is a 90's television with the colour bars pouring into the ocean (into the real world) and two alternate perspectives. This artwork consist of three small, oil based, canvases, 30.5cm each, and isn't one of my hand-stretched artworks. They will come ready to hang.

Suez Hijacked

$650.00

51 x 3cm
x 61cm

5h 0m

This is an appropriation and a moment in time where I looked at my final Dali artwork. For a little while, I was receiving compliments that my work is reminiscent of that of Salvador Dali, I researched him and decided his painting “Suez” is my favourite. I then decided to appropriate it. I found the original quite funny, this is a play on that and perhaps a continual.. Both slightly comical. I then decided I didn’t want to be seen as a copycat and this was the last time I ever looked at any of his artworks. Sometimes I see them in passing and think, yeah we do share a style but I’m not subconsciously copying. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Fantasize

$650.00

90 x 2.5cm
x 90cm

11h 0m

My first cactus artwork was a hit and people encouraged me to create more, of the same… After a while I learnt that people who aren’t artists have very bad marketing ideas, you reading this are no exception. But I gave it a go as well as another artwork, ‘Fate’ which turned out quite cute. This one is an alternate universe where the cactus has the ability to dodge the event that was fated to happen, kind of similar to when people do everything to to and avoid an event that makes them learn something the hard way. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Climb

$600.00

30 x 2cm
x 35cm

5h 5m

I painted this artwork as a pear bitten out of, shining onto an infinite ladder with floating pears around. My intention is for the pears to express how things go 'pear shaped' so often when reaching for your goals, each expectation of how a journey will go pretty much always never turns out the way it was envisioned in the first place. The painting was then followed up by a sequel, they're sold together. The sequel is the ladder being dinged around by the pears and the climb continues. This is one of my hand stretched artworks, ready to hang and all paintings come with a certificate of authentication!

Oblivion

$550.00

38.5 x 2cm
x 76cm

5h 50m

This painting came to mind when I was listening to Midnight Oi's “Beds are Burning” song. So I painted it. There are tints of CMY in the oil ocean because K is 100% CMYK and also everything. The rest is pretty self explanatory if you've heard the song/ up to the viewer. This artwork one of my hand-stretched ones, always sold with hooks ready to hang!

Road To Success

$500.00

51 x 3cm
x 50cm

6h 0m

Here we go again with another challenge artwork. I’ve tried this so many times and I feel like I never master it; creating a painting out of a digital artwork and vice versa. The artwork I tried to recreate is ‘Art in Desert’ but since my digital artworks are just creativity vomit and the paintings have concepts, I tied a concept to it. This time the road represents my road to success being paved with my artworks. Still on it! This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Australiana

$500.00

40 x 3cm
x 105cm

6h 40m

This is an artwork I created inspired by the current Australian climate in Sydney. All the surrounding bushed are burning down and the sun is red, often. At the time of painting this we were in a drought and the fires were running wild, smoke from the mountains were reaching Sydney. The burning tree being watched over by the cow represents the acceptance of how our world seems to be burning down, there seems to be no change besides throwing money in areas which aren't currently working, evidently. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Boundaries

$500.00

42 x 4cm
x 42cm

0h 0m

This artwork is a wall of cactus spikes which looks out to an ocean, I named it boundaries because sometimes people get in their own way. It’s easy to set your standard to high and never achieve them for the sake of proving yourself right that you couldn’t achieve the goal. It’s interesting how people do this. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Revived

$450.00

48 x 2cm
x 48cm

5h 0m

I created this painting to continue on from my 'Money Tree' painting which was quite well received. This one reminds me of the recovery after the fires, the water sits on the tree like a koala, then ignites the lasers from within the tree, as if it's been revived from the fires. This is one of my hand stretched artworks, ready to hang and all paintings come with a certificate of authentication!

Obedience

$400.00

30 x 3cm
x 40cm

2h 50m

This is a painting of some bees in bubbles floating on a cloud. For me, it's as if a bee hive has been falsely left to live out some freedom... I found the 9-5 corporate job quite empty and feel as if a bee in a bubble would, not real freedom and not really accomplishing much, yet being rewarded on a fortnightly basis as if you have. This is one of my hand stretched artworks, ready to hang and all paintings come with a certificate of authentication!

Portal

$350.00

48.5 x 2cm
x 47.5cm

5h 30m

This is a painting of a cloud 'seated' in a gallery watching other clouds, I haven't specified whether it's a window or a painting. I call this artwork “Portal”. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, oil based and will be sold with hooks, ready to hang!

Breakfast

$270.00

46 x 2cm
x 46cm

6h 20m

This painting is for all the optimists out there. When I wake up and make breakfast I see a fun day ahead, still full of work although at the same time feels like a holiday. That's why I painted the plates to sort of be a pool, the bottle to be reminiscent of a palm tree and the tiles to either be sky or a hotel. What do you choose to see? This artwork is hand stretched and comes with hooks for hanging!

Ego

$270.00

30 x 2cm
x 30cm

3h 30m

Have you ever met that person who has an ego so big they get in their own way? They’re so good that they can’t possible have x, y, z because it’ll bring them down, ironically not realising that not doing x, y, z brings them down. This is that, your big ego so big it hits the roof and starts melting. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Painting

$210.00

40 x 2cm
x 40cm

3h 35m

This artwork was just a fun one I did based on how interesting I find it that a box of paints has made so many different paintings, separating, organising and mixing colours to make something people recognise is interesting to me. The opportunities from a box of paint tubes seems endless. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Musician

$210.00

40 x 1.7cm
x 50cm

5h 0m

This artwork is a representation of a thought I once had on musicians, organising sounds to make music. I created the artwork to have the shelves look like a Logic file, the melting can be perceived how the viewer sees it; a puddle or a hole./n/nI wasn’t sure about the execution of this artwork as some things didn’t go to plan when painting it, however someone out there, in Malaysia loved it and snapped it up! This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Close Up Trauma 2

$200.00

31 x 2cm
x 41cm

2h 30m

Sometimes you follow advice from people who aren’t artists and have no idea what they’re advising but they’re older than you so you give it a go. I’ve learnt my lesson. The advice? “Paint it again it was so good!, Make more.” I’m not a decor artist and that’s what’s great about a painting, you don’t do it again. I took the advice and twisted it a bit however that stripped the artwork of its concept. You’ll see a few where I painted close ups. I wanted them to be a set with the original, ‘Trauma’ but that doesn’t really stand up in reality. Someone buys the artwork because they want that, if they were into decor art they wouldn’t be buying my artwork. So this one and the other close up didn’t follow the main man but I wanted to try and show that there could be a whole new world in the artwork if you’d zoomed in. Kind of like those vector artwork videos where people start off with a scene then create one around t and so on then record the zoom out for the clicks. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Kind of like those vector artwork videos where people start off with a scene then create one around t and so on then record the zoom out for the clicks. The original zoomed out artwork is about the destruction of canvas prints, both on artists careers and to the environment. Don’t buy a canvas print. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

The Package

$180.00

35 x 2cm
x 35cm

2h 0m

This is a painting of a package floating over a hole in the ground, in the desert. I created this small painting to represent hopes and fears, when people have a physical package unexpectedly arrive at their home, people tend to be excited and expect good things. Ironically humans tend to fear the future and what's in store for them.. the unknown bothers people. I'm bouncing off the idea that the unknown future is a package in the form of time and experiences that was specially sent for the individual, but they didn’t order it and don’t know if it’s a good idea to open it. Except this package opens no matter what you do. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Waterfall Thoughts

$180.00

41 x 4cm
x 51cm

0h 0m

This is an artwork of my paintings at the time, gathered into a ball and dripping onto my couch. I call it waterfall thoughts because I feel like my ideas for new artworks are endless and forever falling and painted into real life artworks. The dripping represents endless ideas and the couch represents real life. The artwork is based off a digital edit. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones and always sold with hooks ready to hang!
