Recently before painting this cactus I’d found myself a silver torch cacti and it’s beautiful. I’d painted cacti before as the cactus version of a stick figure human in different concepts. I’d also recently mastered how to visually create a laser in both paint or digitally from scratch so I wanted to combine these. The idea of cacti embodying a little personification and the lasers made me want to paint EDM, electronic dance music, which I was also a little bit into at the time.

This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.
