Meek Oil Painting

This painting is the shape of a woman reflecting the surroundings and floating in a landscape.

I chose to call this painting “Meek” because I often find myself meeting women without ambition or even hobbies, living their lives reflecting their surroundings doing what others expect of them… coasting by. I find it astounding that the majority’s “goals” are to get married. Something you can only really bring back to the nature vs nurture debate and question whether we’ve really evolved much in terms of gender roles. So I finally made a painting to express my thought.
