This is a painting of a pear with a cow hide skin growing from a hand shaped tree with sparkles on it, the inside of the pear has a ladder and birds flying from it. I had this canvas sitting waiting to be started and I just decided that I wanted to paint a pear with a cow hide skin in a dim setting, I had no intention with meaning behind it, so like a viewer seeing the painting for the first time I decided what it meant for me after I completed it. I’m a big fan of cow hides, using the whole cow. I have a few and to me they’re a medal, like when you make one the star of you’re home you’re showing off the sacrifices the cow made throughout it’s life, I painted (and own) holstein cow hides which is the cow that produces milk, so the idea of how many babies and people in general that cow gave it’s nutrients to and the hard work comes to mind when I wonder about a life it would have had. Pears in my paintings also play along with the metaphor when people say something went “pear shaped”. So I personally see it that the pear is the life/home I’m building through my hand crafted career. Oil Based, signed with a certificate of authenticity and ready to hang.

Survival Instinct

I'm often surrounded by women who are have boys on their mind 24/7, I don't really comprehend how they have so much mental bandwidth for the topic although after years of listening to their stories that seem almost parallel to the previous or another woman's story I recently noticed a pattern where they always tell me their fantasies of the future. They'll get married, the guy will support them with XYZ, live happily ever after and she'll have less problems (as if it's connected). It clicked for me, I finally realise that this is their survival instinct, if these women I'm meeting focus on one topic, the men, instead of various topics such as career and independence then their future is sorted. This is my piece of mind and I can now justify why some women can be so obsessed, instead of thinking to myself in a critical manner. When I put this thought into a picture in my mind, I see a glass woman with a man trapped inside as her brain. Pink dots on the floor which also cover the glass statues, blending into the surrounding environment. The trapped men have no clothes because clothes would give them identity and from my point of view it doesn't look like the personality or anything individual about the men seems to matter. Sometimes when I'm painting I have a bit of a rest next to the easel as a mini break, before I painted this artwork I took one of those breaks and as I looked at the ceiling wondered when my career will take off. So I started painting the painting as if the face is emerging from the ground and when I flipped it to add detail I changed my mind and decided it would be better as the roof, as if someone's looking down, watching back. I painted the ladder hanging from the roof as if it's painting the face which is watching. Painting the career I'm hunting for. Crossing The Desert

Lately I'm focusing on building my skills (and using up my black so I can replenish my paints into just the shades and primary colours..) so I made this dark desert, at first I visualised a floating crossing in the desert and as I painted I decided to make it never ending and then on an adventure with my mum an idea popped into mind where I should paint trees that bend downward into street lights. I also decided to change the way I paint desert grounds, adding more detail. I think that if I organised myself better I could have added more detail, we'll see how these skills progress. So essentially it's up to the viewer to decide how they interpret the painting. I like to see it as a pathway made especially for you, forming itself as you as it progresses, directing you where you need to be. I've had this painting in mind for a very long time although only just got around to it, in my head I imagined just one pear but thats not how I did it when it came to painting it. It's a scale in the form of a painting. I've met people, not recently, who brag about how bad they are at art, and I agree that you can't be taught how to art, you're either born with the genetic make-up or not. Although in saying that I believe that even if you suck, the fact that you have hands and can brush your teeth competently means that you can make basic shapes and shading with a little motivation. On the left of the artwork I painted as if I had no motivation and no talent, gradually increasing the level of recognition to end up with what it would look like when painting with talent and motivation (ignoring abstract, impressionism, figurative styles etc.). I then played with it and changed the colours and placed the pears up the wall and turned the curtain to water because I'm a surrealist, and my skills allow me to. I also found it interesting that while painting it I realised pears are more yellow than green. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Tofu

When I was younger there wasn't much lactose free substitutes available and always thought that when I get older there'll be heaps. There aren't (in Australia) although I find it somewhat ironic that major companies opt to jump straight to vegan food to be inclusive of those with intolerances. Yet I'd prefer to opt out of those products and make my own, entirely skipping on the mass production. I see tofu as a kind of “fake” food, it's often mimicking other food and never the hero of a meal. This painting's mocking vegan food (as I do.. lol), the pear represents the tofu and a clear drape over it as if it's a cow hide, my representation of when people use tofu to make “meat”. Instead of human cameramen I used pink peacocks because I feel the genre is super glorified, often in the spotlight and shaming other diets. It's ultimately up to the viewer to determine how they want to perceive the painting. Sold with hooks, ready to hang, a certificate of authentication and oil based!

I decided to make a paining of a moment. I once had a romance with a guy for years and he stood out from the rest but it didn't work out and I never looked him up again. I was posting a load of my books last year and I noticed him glancing my way for a noticeable amount of time. The painting shows a woman made of sand building her life path, her hand moves the bricks away from the direction of the statue, her mind guides it and her legs walk it. Moving forward in every respect. A light river of gossip crosses her path yet not strong enough to move any of the bricks. His statue once sand has turned to glass, decorated with two memories and surrounded with clouds vaguely signifying wolfs which represents his friends. The glass, solidifying his choices, never to catch up with the front of her path ever again. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

This painting is a pineapple growing from the ground (like a carrot) taking the shape of a Pyramid, like the ones in Egypt. I thought of the idea that Pharoahs would bury their possesions with them and then created a visual metaphor for the lack of priorities today. I'm noticing that people would rather spend their money on having an unhealthy desert or an experience without considering how putting the money to something less self-sabotaging could make them just as happy. Building their own pyramid of treasures, not fruit. This painting is the shape of a woman reflecting the surroundings and floating in a landscape. I chose to call this painting “Meek” because I often find myself meeting women without ambition or even hobbies, living their lives reflecting their surroundings doing what others expect of them... coasting by. I find it astounding that the majority's “goals” are to get married. Something you can only really bring back to the nature vs nurture debate and question whether we've really evolved much in terms of gender roles. So I finally made a painting to express my thought. Lately my digital artworks have been receiving a bit more attention then my paintings, although fair enough though I've been making some solid ones while experimenting on techniques with my paintings. So I thought I'd channel into the style I create my digital artworks in. I thought turning animals spotty and surreal was easier in digital form. It definitely takes less time, although this reminded me of a statement my brother made something along the lines of being able to do way more with paintings than digital artworks, because all you need is paint. I find that particularly true with this painting as I could work on the fur with much more detail than I could in Photoshop, I also dont have any photo's of pigs in this pose... I also started painting the pig a day and a half before finishing the painting so I wonder how it would turn out if I gave myself more time. Overall, when I watch cooking shows and how they transform the animal products into something entirely unrecognisable and beautiful makes wonder what the other animals of that species would think if they were watching it, this painting reminds me of that. I created this painting based on a digital artwork I created a few weeks prior which was incredibly well received. Knowing that from the past when I paint a digital artwork it doesn’t quite measure up, so this time I painted a different angle and with a new style using harsher gradients which I think made it unique. I call it “Traveller” because when I first looked at it after I'd painted the people in I saw a journey, like one where you travel over seas and other countries look, feel and smell as foreign as a pineapple blowing up to a hot air balloon. Floating on a crossing as if the visit is a dream. Whenever I explain how Bulgaria is to Australians I don't think they ever fully understand how different it is unless they experience going there. I began this artwork with a different idea in mind, then by the time I’d finished creating my 2023 colouring in books I wasn’t passionate about the concept anymore so decided to ditch it. From there I began painting a pear as if it’s being dispensed and squished it’s predecessor, since I’m always making a point about consumerism that’s where I went. After a day I changed the layout and kept the idea although this time the pears drip out from a window and bounce over a more realistic rotten looking pear below. The Journey’ is the prequel to this artwork (and they’re sold separately, maybe to reunite one day). The two artworks fit together like puzzle pieces when one is rotated 180º and placed above the other, see the timelapse video to see them together. The previous artwork shows a journey and depicted at night time, this one shows the other side of the journey, not necessarily after death but another side. I really enjoy Hieronymus Bosch’s artworks and having many events going on in his artworks and I aim to incorporate that in my artworks, these two being the target of that aim. In this artwork I aimed to have two marches heading over to the first painting and included the window far in the background as well as the bird porcelain print on the tree. The Journey

I really enjoy Hieronymus Bosch’s artworks, specifically how they his artworks encompass busy themes where Bosch packs in plenty of characters and ‘furniture’. A while back I noticed my artworks at the time had a centrepiece and that’s how I conveyed my idea. I’ve been working on creating busier visuals where the viewer will be drawn into the artwork thinking about each section and wonder away with that thought, creating a different experience. This artwork isn’t as busy as I originally aimed however when I reached this point I decided this is how it needs to be. On the left side I added more characters than the right as I want people to read the artwork like a book, left to right. I ended up naming it ‘The Journey’ because when I reached the end of the artwork whenever I looked at it I felt like it’s a journey, like your life journey. Nothing ever seems to go as planned and when you look back at it you end up with a bunch of mismatched and unexpected events that feel like home because it’s yours and you lived that. Definitely Not Penrose or MC Escher Stairs

I wanted to make a painting similar to the Penrose or M.C. Escher stairs although I didn't want to look at the artwork before making this because I wanted mine to look different, I also didn't want to include stairs so I just ended up with something entirely different. I included elements which I include in my paintings and the main block screamed chocolate so I turned it into a chocolate bar. Someone I know threw a little disrespect my way to get ahead and to be frank it made me feel a bit shitty for a day and a bit, I feel like I've usually got my mood in check so I thought this would be a prime opportunity to paint how I felt! Especially (astrology term) since my MC is in the sign of Cancer (an emotional sign) which explain to me that if I tap into emotion then my career would do better as opposed to if I didn't. I chose to put waves of lighter shades in the sky because things seemed a bit dizzy, I painted a large window/ doorway because it seemed cold, a bit drafty, rough grounds and floppy arms. Emotional pain causes the same brain response to physical so I guess thats why my arms felt down as well. The black dots, tears. I made this painting with more of a goal to improve my technical skills although I started it while listening to the song 'It's Raining Men' so I decided to make a painting on what a symphony themed around lvoe would look like, with a hint of chromesthesia. This painting is two rock ledges hanging over water while a flock of birds carry away a frame from which they came from. The clouds, birds and rocks also outline two faces. I call it “Frank” because when people are speaking frankly they may say things without having researched the topic, I often get people tell me they “don't get art” which is pretty frank to me, a painting on a wall may as well be a black hole (making quite a statement on my career), although ironically appreciating the beauty of the rest of the world around them. Not long ago it clicked for me that not everyone is creative.. Naively thinking that people were being lazy when explaining “I can't” when it comes to thinking outside the box. Soon after I made a painting about an image that comes to mind when listening to a song which sparked discussion about what people see in their minds. I then learnt about hyperphantasia; the genetic trait to vividly see images as your hearts content in your imagination and the opposite, aphantasia where someone struggles to create an image. So from that thought of learning what I'd learnt I wanted to paint a simple painting where one side is an apple (similar to what I'd imagine) and as you pan toward the right, the apple becomes more 2D and a simple line drawing to express the above. Faded Memories

The balloons are pumping themselves up from the protagonists hand, releasing themselves and passing through the glass.. I found it interesting how people have a different perspective of you as you, for instance, successful people could make it look easy while from their perspective they would see all the hard work. So I made a mirror reflection of a woman where her reflection shows the wrinkles and everything normal while the woman on our side is made of gold. I haven't yet mastered how to paint gold although I'm a firm believer that when you have an opportunity to finish a painting, it's done and that's a reflection of your skill level at the time. So this is my skill level on painting gold at the moment, hoping to improve. I also managed to convince myself a week before finishing this painting that I couldn't paint people... PMS. This is a painting of some bees in bubbles floating on a cloud. For me, it's as if a bee hive has been falsely left to live out some freedom... Scadenfreude is when people find enjoyment from other people failing.. Somewhat similar to survival of the fittest. I started the painting with an entirely different idea in mind, when I listen to the song 'Hotel California' I whip up an image of a house that shaped like a head, gold and in the middle of a desert. I started to paint that and then didn't.. When I started painting this I also re-watched a Bosch documentary which highlighted the right panel of 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' where a woman is made of egg shell. So I decided to paint eggs building houses from the cracked egg shells of other eggs. I painted the eggs to represent peoples minds.. As I see it, survival of the fittest is a mental game in this century (besides Rona). The Essence of Freedom

I started off painting this painting with the intention of making a raised platform with a boat floating on top.. Didn't happen. Sometimes the paintings I make just make themselves and are entirely unplanned, this one ended up with vines and by that time I'd decided I wanted flowers at the end of the vines to be birds. The way I see it is the vines are your roots and when the flower blossoms and drained everything it can from the roots then the birds fly away. Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni vs da Vinci

I decided to paint this painting after watching a string of documentaries, by chance I watched Michelangelo after de Vinci and feel like I already knew they shared a lifetime although just found it interesting. Since they weren't friends I decided to paint them having a battle. I covered the floor in each of their most famous painting, ironically that seems to be the territory they fought over, yet neither of them reported to enjoy painting. The sky on da Vinci's side is darker, as If the suns set on him, Michelangelo is on a platform, as if it's similar to the one he painted the Sistine Chapel on, fighting with his statue of David. De Vinci (the man on the ground) fights wearing the armour he designed and also uses some weapons he designed. Hand stretched, sold with a certificate of authenticity and hooks ready to hang! A thought crossed my mind where everyone always has a problem they're dealing with, I don't believe anyone's left without a problem for long. So I painted this maze, the person in the painting builds crossings at each dead end, one section where they cut a plank from the ground (using the recourses you have) and other ladders made from ropes dropped from the sky. I really enjoyed this painting, although I don't believe it's reached it potential so I'll be making a large sequel as soon as I get my hands on a canvas of that size. Stranger

This idea came to mind a few months ago after a guy who was learning to be a journalist asked me for an interview, I eventually asked for it to be removed from everywhere. After pondering on this idea for a while I began to realise that most, if not all the people in my life don't really or entirely know me. Some had been in my life the entire time and couldn't even tell you my pass times, other's I had just met and after a few meetings they still hadn't figured out I'm an artist (which is what my life revolves around). Imagine every second of your life is written in a book, the book grows each day and someone comes along and rips out a few paragraphs and runs off as if they've figured you out 100%. That's what I've painted here, the person runs off and in the background flails the page into the wind as birds pick off the words and leave them scattered. I thought I'd make a painting showing how I'd assume anxiety feels, although I don't really relate to the painting which made it more difficult to make it look different to how it looks. Over-all, ironically, I still don't vibe with it. Looks like that's what happens when you paint about something you don't know! I've painted a perfectly shaped mask hiding a face which is melting away, the surroundings are glasses falling and breaking and clouds cover the eye holes making it dark for the person behind the mask. I haven't made a birds eye view painting since I was little so I decided I need one in my portfolio. At first I started painting the painting as a giant bird in the desert cages in by arrows, I wanted the spots to be seeping off the bird into the desert. Instead I ended up painting, what I see as, a bird in the sky and we're viewing the cage from the birds view (just above it) the spots ended up curving as it's own cage downward to the top and upward at the bottom, so if you saw it on the side view the cage of spots would be an S shape. The painting reminds me of how people perceive lockdown (currently in a massive one), in the cage or being the cage? I chose to use lockdown to my advantage and whip out an artwork a day, I'm not in the cage in this case. It's up to the viewer to decide how they interpret this painting. This is an anti totalitarian artwork. There can't be a society where everyones an entrepreneur or everyone does what they're told, it just wouldn't work. I feel like I could have captured that idea better, perhaps in a darker scene. I painted a road with a directional arrow being pulled up into the direction of the life boat, a lollipop representing the no entry street sign and in the corner a hand of someone who's legged it. I made this painting with a goal in mind to paint the look of gold, I recently had some digital artworks of gold doughnuts I created printed and wanted to wrap my mind around why a printer can print CMYK and have the image look gold and whether I could be just as precise with my flat colours and tones to create gold. I think I need more practice and do think it's somewhat doable although I'm not there yet. I call it sarcastic doughnut, as if the doughnuts saying “Yeah man, I can be gold”. Car Lessons

Recently I retired my latest car.. reluctantly. Which caused me to reflect on how my previous cars have held a theme for what I was doing at that time in my life. My first car, I never liked the colour and didn't have a choice in it (although purchased it myself) from 'day dot' I said I'd paint it blue. It never turned out blue but I gained some skills spray-painting cars, this car went all the colours. The day it was written off I had big plans for the next spray. The next car, above it. I carried on the spray-painting only once and learnt how to wire up electricity. I ended up putting 22 indicators on it, like a mini truck, and put another models headlights on it. The bottom lit up with blue as I high-beamed. That car didn't last long. The final car I decided it was time to look like an adult, so I sprayed it only to fix the previous owners blemishes. I kept the lights as normal to possible and practiced how to advertise with it (without permanently altering the car). Since this painting I've tied in all the lessons I'd learnt from my previous cars in my new one, I've sprayed it, hooked up lights and made an unmissable advertisement for my books. I found it very interesting how people become attached to cars and not other objects, as if you become the car. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

This is a painting inspired by an event, Uranus transiting my 7th house, where you tend to shake off relationships that aren't working. I had some people from a past life lure their way back in only to notice the same patterns started before I'd even seen them. The lake has spikes, I imagine how uncomfortable that lake would be to swim in.. spiky water which is fenced off, a barrier. I've painted a hand (mine) stretching down from the sky dipping it's finger in the water through the fence, expressing how much of a stretch it would be for me to actually give that lake any real attention. This painting was inspired by a little tangent I went on after being asked the question “What's your biggest weakness” when I put myself up for an opportunity. I ended up saying something along the lines of “I don't get why people get so bothered when you're late or bad with time.. It's like they've chosen to live their life strictly to a religion of time and expect everyone else to do the same in dictatorship. I don't live my life by that religion and that should be acceptable”. I found that a little funny, hyperbolic yet resinates. So this is my painting to represent it. The statue is my head, I guess, just a female, made of sand emerging from the ground and cut off as if it's thoughts are purely time. My clock has no order, the numbers float away, turning into yellow birds. The water also represents the constant flowing where you'll (in general) never get a grip. It's hand stretched with a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks.

This is a painting I made based on the concept of primary colours, where you can mix yellow, blue and red in any combination along with the shades black and white to make any colour. I went through a mini phase in 2020 trying to improve my cooking and thought why can't making flavours be like making colours? Why can't we assign sour sweet ect. In order to make it clear what goes “well” together. The painting is a skewer of a lemon (yellow/ sour), blueberry (blue/ sweet) and chilli (red/ spicy) dripping down their colours where the drips mix to form a watermelon which floats to the surface, in the background are oranges and cucumbers already formed. This painting warrants a second thought after I show off my painting “Cheese”, one I made a few weeks later after learning something about my brain and flavours. I've been super pear focused lately, probably because I've been making more artworks in a shorter space of time and the topics of each merge together. So I made another pear! I wanted to follow up on the style of my recent 'Spotty Pig' as I noticed quite a few people saved that one.I almost left this artwork just as a spotty pear although right before I thought I finished I watched a Bosch documentary which caused me to think twice about leaving it simple. So I added a cage and an ear. After finishing it, it reminded me of listening.. how there's sound around you and sometimes you ignore the sounds and sometimes you absorb them and contemplate. I started this with the intention to make a painting with a cow hide floor in the desert, where the hide is the ground. I then made the painting as I went along and painted bones then birds emerging from the hide, flying into the clouds and seedlings sprouting. When I finished the painting I decided to name it after what comes to mind when I look at it, reincarnation comes to mind. I named it 7th lifetime because I wanted to leave the feeling with the viewer that it's a cycle on repeat. In the distance a red planet, red for energy. A few weeks back my mates asked me what this juice that I made tasted like and I told them.. “round and brown”. I repeated myself because I often confuse people with some of the things I say and they told me “Oh you're synesthetic”. I had no clue what they meant.. At first I thought that meant that you see colours with music although soon learnt it includes any trigger of another sense when using a different one. After a week of going in a google rabbit hole I learnt that I do a few.. But this painting is based on tasting the shapes and colours of flavours. This is cheese, I'm lactose intolerant so there's only one yellow cheese I can buy, it doesn't say what type and this is what I see when I taste cheese. A rich smooth orange/red brown (like the Australian earth colour, the yellow sunset is the sharp aftertaste that follows, yet, I'm not focused on that) and the cheese has a wide flavour, so I express the wide-ness as a clear sheet (warmer than glass) floating over and moulding with the curves of the ground that stretches as far as you can see. I decided to make this artwork after painting “Avoidance” inspired by the way the ground looked in my previous painting, it reminded me of sewing. I made this painting based on a digital artwork I created a couple years back in terms of layout, creating it revolved more around the time frame I gave myself and just creating it so I didn't have a concept in mind. I had to name it so I based the name on another painting I recently finished which also has a floating crossing, as if they're connected and this is the day time version. I ended up really focusing on the texture of the floor because I told insta that they can decide when I start painting a different section.. No one opted for me to move on so it ended up really detailed; that taught me that I can do better. It's up to the viewer to interpret how they see it.
