The Package

$180.00

35 x 2cm
x 35cm

2h 0m

This is a painting of a package floating over a hole in the ground, in the desert. I created this small painting to represent hopes and fears, when people have a physical package unexpectedly arrive at their home, people tend to be excited and expect good things. Ironically humans tend to fear the future and what's in store for them.. the unknown bothers people. I'm bouncing off the idea that the unknown future is a package in the form of time and experiences that was specially sent for the individual, but they didn’t order it and don’t know if it’s a good idea to open it. Except this package opens no matter what you do. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Waterfall

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

While hunting for waterfalls in 2017 I found a mini one somewhere in the bush in the northern suburbs of Sydney. I snapped it up, then also created a different version where I incorporate a painting ini the water.

Race or Features

$170.00

51 x 3.5cm
x 61cm

0h 0m

At the time of painting this artwork I looked at racism with a more shallow perspective and thought it’s just about excluding people who just have different features to you. Now I see the complications of racism where it’s a tribal instinct to involve or exclude people in order for some sort of self preservation, there’s also the fact that cultures who grow together do things differently that we’re used to. So, at the time when I saw it just as not liking how someone looks I decided to paint this where one person has two opposing features on their face. This artwork is oil based, isn’t one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Vaucluse

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 42m

During one of my adventures to The Gap, Vaucluse I took a couple photos, then in this artwork I decided to merge them and see where it goes.

Joy

$170.00

50 x 3.5cm
x 60cm

0h 0m

While creating this artwork I’d been riding for a few years, a motorbike, to me, isn’t just transport, it’s like being seven-teen and going for a bicycle ride. You have a car but this is for fun. I also had some friends who sold their bikes to exchange the money for things like holidays, which I couldn’t understand. So I aimed to paint my bike as a heart, the ugly kind of organ shaped heart and I carried on the paint pouring from my previous successful artworks. That was partially concept and something I’d wanted to do and partially mediocre advice from the people around me who aren’t artists and say “Paint another just like it!” To my paint pouring concept. This artwork is oil based, isn’t one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Tree Sunset

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

This is a sister photo to my ‘Lamp Sunset’ print. They were taken together in 2016 and this is the result.

International Date Line

$170.00

29 x 3cm
x 19.5cm

3h 32m

I watch videos on geography sometimes and came across one in detail on the international date line... Long story short, I start questioning the theory of time and the international date line. Without this line that's entirely made up then our rules for time don't work, to me it seems purely for convinience and the idea of time needs some more thinking over. I decided to paint how I felt about this idea of time, my head twisting between lands and trying to bridge the gaps that don't match up for me. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Train Proslav

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

Living in Sydney where the government builds extravagant train stations that take you ten minutes of walking to reach the platform from the entry I found it really interesting how in Europe it’s two steps away. You don’t need to add ten minutes to your trip to enter the train station. I also like front on shots of roads so I decided since the tracks are so easily accessible I’ll take a photo and this is the result. In a much later artwork, around 2024, I reuse the tracks and colour them for other digital artworks.

Sad Man Acrylic Painting

$150.00

40 x 3.5cm
x 50cm

0h 0m

This may be one of my only figurative artworks, unless I’ve lost and forgotten some out there. I painted this when first starting out my art career in 2017, I’d just began freelancing full time while building the sales and had free rein over my schedule, so naturally I stayed up painting. This artwork was created in about 2 hours. This artwork is acrylic, isn’t one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Tiny Palm Trees

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

This is a much older photo than all the rest I have up for sale, it’s dated to 2012 where I either wanted to have interesting photos or I had an assignment. Either way, I found these tiny palms that made the space I was photographing look disproportionate so I photographed it.

Self Portrait Close Up 1

$150.00

Sometimes you follow advice from people who aren’t artists and have no idea what they’re advising but they’re older than you so you give it a go. I’ve learnt my lesson. The advice? “Paint it again it was so good!, Make more.” I’m not a decor artist and that’s what’s great about a painting, you don’t do it again. I took the advice and twisted it a bit however that stripped the artwork of its concept. You’ll see a few where I painted close ups. I wanted them to be a set with the original, ‘Self Portrait’ but that doesn’t really stand up in reality. Someone buys the artwork because they want that, if they were into decor art they wouldn’t be buying my artwork. So this one and the other close up didn’t follow the main man but I wanted to try and show that there could be a whole new world in the artwork if you’d zoomed in. Kind of like those vector artwork videos where people start off with a scene then create one around t and so on then record the zoom out for the clicks. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Tidal Wave

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

After heading off to West Head to grab photos of the view I decided I wanted a tidal wave artwork, so this is what I ended up creating. It was a challenge, especially with my skill level at the time.

In 2017 I went for a ride up Old Pac, Sydney. On the way home I saw the sunset and pulled over to photograph it. This is the view.

Waiting Close Up 1

$150.00

49.5 x 3cm
x 40cm

Sometimes you follow advice from people who aren’t artists and have no idea what they’re advising but they’re older than you so you give it a go. I’ve learnt my lesson. The advice? “Paint it again it was so good!, Make more.” I’m not a decor artist and that’s what’s great about a painting, you don’t do it again. I took the advice and twisted it a bit however that stripped the artwork of its concept. You’ll see a few where I painted close ups. Kind of like those vector artwork videos where people start off with a scene then create one around t and so on then record the zoom out for the clicks. The original artwork is a couch with paint pouring on it waiting. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Sunset Moon

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 20m

In 2018 I was in Vaucluse waiting for a friend to join me in hunting photos and after I hung up a call with them I looked over and decided to take this photo then I added the moon in later on. I think this is the first artwork with my moon in it.

Back Burn

$150.00

40 x 3cm
x 50cm

3h 0m

This is an artwork I created during the 2019 fires. Australia was burning down and the politics was only starting to heat up (compared to the unrest in the following decade). Then you’d tune into news from other parts of the wold and they’d be frozen or flooding. I found it interesting that the topic was environmental and how politics can fix it but it’s just nature going through it’s larger seasons, and it just happens to be extreme ends for different parts of the world. This artwork is oil based, isn’t one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Sunflower Farm

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

In 2017 I travelled from Sofia to Plovdiv in Bulgaria, in the warmer seasons their sunflower farms fill the roads and it’s easy to grab a shot. This is one of them, adjusted slightly.

Safe Route

$150.00

32.5 x 1.7cm
x 24cm

1h 50m

I think by this point in time we’ve come across someone who’s big on over-correcting and being over-cautious to the point where all they do is sit still and watch mainstream media then spiral into the panic that they’ve set up for the week.

Life really isn’t anywhere near as dangerous as people expect, it’s pretty mediocre. I recently had to purchase $20 million insurance to sell my colouring books at the local park, then so did everyone else which added up to $840 million cover. That’s overkill. I Brought this up with a few people and some saw how ridiculous it was, others began thinking about the worst case scenario and expected it to play out, they wanted me to believe that were a possibility. As if Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos is hanging around the park and they die, at my expense. This is their safety zone, don’t exit the safety zone, you will die. Don’t live your life, you will die. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Summersby

Price range: $360.00 through $500.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

In 2017 I adventured over to Summersby for some waterfall shots, something I quickly learnt was rare in the Sydney area. I then took this shot and decided I wanted it reflected, this is the final result.

Emerald Scarf

$150.00

60 x 0.5cm
x 50cm

0h 0m

A painting of a woman I created in 2018 as part of my 10 paintings in 10 weeks. Check out my instagram story to see prints or other paintings on the story @miss_vanessaness. Oil Based, signed and ready to hang. Weight is a rough guess and the weight of a canvas, the painting also will not be sold framed.

Star Alliance

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

During my 2017 trip to Europe I snapped up a bunch of photos, this is one I took when boarding the plane. I felt it needed to be photographed, I also put it out the window as originally it was just a photo of the plane.

Misogynist

$150.00

50 x 3.5cm
x 60cm

0h 0m

This artwork reflects the ‘Me Too’ movement, which in hindsight took a plot twist and now see the artwork in a different light. At the time I painted an invisible man, likely with the idea that men can get away with being mysognynistic and having little blow back. Now the tables have turned, the men who see serious consequences of saying hi to a woman then being publicly labelled as a creep online have backed off entirely and the ones who didn’t care, continue not to. Leaving men unseen, the dating culture has paused and in general being a gentlemen carries risks. This artwork is oil based, isn’t one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Stairway to Heaven

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

On one of my adventures to the Eastern Suburbs in 2019, this may be The Gap or Diamond Bay, I found some stairs and photographed them. I wanted to make them keep going and this is the result.

Visiting Church

$150.00

28.5 x 1.7cm
x 28cm

4h 3m

This is my second last lockdown painting, at this point I'm experimenting with creating artworks from different angles. I started painting this painting with the intention of making sales in the desert forming from the ground (similar to my 'I Love My Leather Gloves' painting), then quickly changed my mind to create a church with a high roof and a never ending room filled with flowers. It reminds me of my grandma, she's super religious and often preaching, I imagine going to church would feel like this for her, a room full of flowers and daylight – hope. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

Red Sphere

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

This was a challenge artwork and I’m not sure I hit the mark with it. I wanted to explore different ways I could represent my photos, so I popped it in a sphere and this is the result.

Soaring, Swimming and Sleeping

$150.00

15 x 3cm
x 15cm

2h 4m

This is a painting that I created in order to challenge myself to use a smaller canvas, I'm not an artist who uses small centrepieces (or none) so this certainly proved to be a challenge. I also used leftover canvas from my last roll which is more coarse which doesn't let me work on detail as smoothly as I'd like so when I finished the artwork I feel like it turned out pretty well considering the situation I put myself in! I painted a bird and wanted to carry on the style from a painting a few paintings ago 'Midnight Snack' with solid waves and tiny bubbles/ balloons. This time I couldn't decide whether the bird would be swimming, flying or dreaming. I figure you're doing it all in a dream anyway so it's doing it all in a dreamlike artwork. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Sparky Wheel

Price range: $360.00 through $2,100.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 25m

In 2018 I wanted a new bike photo, but I also had some sparklers on hand and had used them for a few long exposure artworks. So I decided I wanted to make my wheel sparky, popped downstairs and began waving a sparkle around as I took the long exposure shot. This is the final result, I also changed the colour of my bike.

Blindfolded Sky

$140.00

41 x 2cm
x 51cm

3h 45m

One day I was sent a video of an artist making a painting using a bicycle, naturally as a competitive person, I wanted to make one blindfolded. So this is it. It's a sky that's cut like a diamond. I placed three staples on the edges as markers of where to paint and all the colours are also done blind folded. This artwork is oil based, is one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Smoking Cockatoo

Price range: $360.00 through $500.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

I find this artwork quite funny. In 2017 I went to Newport beach with a fiend and saw a cockatoo eating a chip above me. So I photographed it and turned it into a cigarette then reflected it, as if you’re in That 70’s Show. This bird makes a comeback in other artworks such as ‘Party Bird’.

Melting Hand

$100.00

31 x 2cm
x 31cm

0h 0m

This was the final artwork I created in my first challenge of ten artworks in ten weeks, at the time I was finding my style and you can see in this one that I start to transition from the figurative surrealism to more realistic surrealism. This artwork is il based, isn’t one of my hand-stretched ones and sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Selfie Sunnies

Price range: $360.00 through $500.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

Every now and then, as an artist, the institutions ask you to create a self portrait as an assignment. At this point in time I didn’t have any in digital format so I took a photo and edited it with the background being the pattern of a kimono I’d wear, sometimes when making art and the sunnies reflecting places I’ve adventured to photograph. I ended up using this as my online display picture for many of my art profiles and also recreated it with paint, a challenge I often return to.

Speaker

$100.00

41.5 x 2cm
x 42cm

3h 42m

After purchasing a speaker it looked like a canvas so I popped a painting on it, I like to use pink in my music paintings because pink is the colour of a high pitched sound for me, the flamingo dances it's way through the speaker and turns up the sound while the knob drips down some music to create a glass pear. The flamingo then reappears at the front to what I like to think of the spots as the next song. The material is much thicker than canvas and more difficult to paint on so I currently have no plans to do that again. The priming involved some gesso (as it should!) so the sound turned out muffled so I've taken it off as it's own artwork and repurposed an old frame. Note that I'm not a professional frame maker... Sold with s certificate of authenticity and hooks ready to hang.

Road Straight

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

In 2017, on my way to West Head for some photos I decided to pull over and take a photo of the straight road. I really like these shots and you’ll see a few in my artworks such as ‘Alpaca Rd’.

Wedding Portrait Practice 1 Acrylic Painting

$100.00

57 x 0.5cm
x 36cm

9h 26m

I recently saw a TikTok video of what people considered a really shit wedding portrait. This is news to me that artists are hired for an extraordinary amount to paint live! I thought I’d kick ass at this and want to get in on it so I began busking to practice in front of people. If you watch the time-lapse on my time-lapse YouTube you’ll see I do the first two hours live, there’s a two hour limit on site. Since this is practice I’m just selling it cheap. It’s the first of five. Hopefully a couple out there looks like this! Acrylic on cardboard and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

Red kaleidoscope

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

This artwork ricochet’s off the previous monochrome “Red Lake” artwork where I wanted to play with the idea of doing a kaleidoscope effect. This is the final result. If you like this artwork I recommend checking out ‘Beach Pattern’ and ‘Galston Long Exposure’.

Tofu 30m Acrylic Painting

$100.00

65 x 1.7cm
x 38.5cm

0h 30m

This artwork is one of many remakes of my artwork, ‘Tofu’, 2021. I’ve been recreating the artwork for an art battle where artists compete to create an artwork in twenty minutes. For this particular one I decided to go busking however there was a one hour time limit so I decided to paint this one and one other. You can see the live recording on one of my YouTube channels. This artwork took 30 minutes and a few touchups, unfortunately no tips and no one bid to buy it. This artwork isn’t like my other ones in the sense that It’s a “canvas” print that I painted over, created with acrylic and it’s stretched onto MDF. If your bank account says no to grabbing the original painting then here’s your chance for the budget version! This artwork isn't one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

Red Lake

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

In 2017 I went bushwalking somewhere in the northern side of Sydney and found a little lake there. I wanted to play with the idea of making the photo monochrome and using a mosaic texture for some of the sections. This is how it ended up.

Unexpected 30m Acrylic Painting

$100.00

65 x 1.7cm
x 38.5cm

0h 30m

This artwork is one of many remakes of my artwork, ‘Unexpected’, 2020. I’ve been recreating the artwork for an art battle where artists compete to create an artwork in twenty minutes. For this particular one I decided to go busking however there was a one hour time limit so I decided to paint this one and one other. I hadn’t given myself a refresher of what the original artwork looked like before going busking and I ended up missing the ocean parts of the pear. You can see the live recording on one of my YouTube channels. This artwork took 30 minutes and a few touchups, unfortunately no tips and no one bid to buy it. This artwork isn’t like my other ones in the sense that It’s a “canvas” print that I painted over created with acrylic and it’s stretched onto MDF. If you missed out on grabbing the original painting then here’s your chance for the budget version! This artwork isn't one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

If you watch the time-lapse on my time-lapse YouTube you’ll see I do the first two hours live, there’s a two hour limit on site. Since this is practice I’m just selling it cheap. It’s the second of the five and sold on site! Acrylic on cardboard and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

In 2018 I hunted down that tunnel in Helensburgh for artworks, I then decided to make a version where the end of the tunnel shows Summersby Waterfall and another with a bicycle, because there was a bicycle in the tunnel.

Long Exposure Warp

Price range: $360.00 through $500.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 9m

During my phase of shooting long exposure shots I decided to take a stroll outside to Pennant Hills Road, Normanhurst and take shots oft he traffic. I then warped the photos into these versions you see here. If you like the style I have a similar artwork of a beach which is blue and named “Beach Pattern”.

Lizard

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

This one time, I adventured with a friend down Lance Cove National park and managed to snap up a shot of one of the water dragons. There’s plenty roaming around there. This is mostly photograph but later on I do create a digital artwork out of it.

Lips Garie Beach

Price range: $360.00 through $370.00

30 x 1.5cm
x 30cm

0h 0m

From one of my adventures to Garie Beach I ended up with a collection of photos, I’d build a bit of a portfolio by now and wanted to create something a little different, so this is it, some lips floating in the landscape.
