This painting is a lightbulb, painting a landscape, or perceive it however you like. I painted it as a point of view. Often seeing people online smudging pixels in Photoshop calling the pieces “paintings”, literally, bothers me. When people do this they take away from the skill of painting, once having experienced an unhappy customer who requested a mural from me, only to find out she'd been looking at digital art, not paintings as a reference of what would result. You may have come across this artwork looking for a giraffe, when I showed people the artwork in real life I definitely sensed some confusion. The giraffe is abstract, and the magic of abstract art is that the next person sees something different to you, if it’s real abstract art as opposed to splotches dumped on a canvas. It reminds me of a giraffe because when I work on my giraffe in my digital artworks I’ve reached the point where I cut out all the giraffe spots individually and paste them back with a different colour or some sort of alteration. This is a painting of Biggie Smalls (notorious B.I.G.) I created during a series of paintings including Snoop Dogg and Tupac where I fell into the rabbit hole of watching documentaries of their challenges building their careers and the black community. I made this painting based on a digital artwork I created a couple years back in terms of layout, creating it revolved more around the time frame I gave myself and just creating it so I didn't have a concept in mind. I had to name it so I based the name on another painting I recently finished which also has a floating crossing, as if they're connected and this is the day time version. I ended up really focusing on the texture of the floor because I told insta that they can decide when I start painting a different section.. No one opted for me to move on so it ended up really detailed; that taught me that I can do better. It's up to the viewer to interpret how they see it. Busking Acrylic Painting

This is an artwork I recently made while busking, I decided I wanted to paint busking, while busking. The pathway is the people passing by, the water is the fountain behind me and I wanted to turn the crossing into thoughts (of bubbles). The goal was to incorporate ideas from old artworks like the water from, ‘Unexpected’, the crossing from ‘Crossing the Desert’ but to my surprised I thought up a new idea while painting in front of people and decided to put the cowhide pattern on the bubbles. If I were alone painting I would have ventured further into this idea so expect it to pop up in an artwork soon. A woman didn’t read the room and sat to my right for longer than I liked and that’s why the right is more bare than the left. I’ve decided not to varnish the artwork as I’m not sure if I want to paint over it since it’s made of acrylic and I prefer oils. The artwork’s concept was also compromised due to busking conditions so it’s not as finished as I’d liked. Video of the busking adventure on my Patreon if you’re interested! There’s no timelapse of this artwork but there will be an artventure video. I’ve also decided that this is the first of an idea I’ll work on for the next year, one budget friendly artwork a month. I price my artworks so people won’t feel compelled to throw them out when their decor changes (and increasing skill), so if you buy one of the budget friendly artworks please show the same respect as if you bought it for $700. The rest will be on cardboard, like Edvard Munch’s Scream. This one will be varnished on sale so expect a week delay for postage, it’ll be sold with a certificate of authentication and ready to hang.

This is a painting very different to my others, I made it during my lockdown challenge and it became super clear I'd been repeating the same setting in each different painting so I decided that since I'm making different types of paintings I should create a very 2D style one as well. At the time I'd just started learning about illusions and this includes one where geometric shapes sit at a particular spot to create the illusion that there's another image. Here people are convinced there's a vase, yet there's no actual vase being painted. I also threw in my surrealist flare and painted the flowers different colours to their natural colour, similar to my fruit bowl painting. A while back I purchased a date, banana and coconut juice, my mates asked me what it tasted like and I told them “round and brown”, synaesthesia Usually I'd get a response something along the lines of being called weird.. and I'd learnt to brush it off, recently learning that it's the way my brain connects senses. When I taste food a visual composition accompanies it. When I tasted the banana, date and coconut juice I'd see a clear and matte white sphere floating around with a cool breezy environment, I'd also see a shade of brown emerge on the side that's faded away on the sphere. So this is that composition that I see in my minds eye, only more detailed as if it were a landscape. Hand stretched, sold with a certificate of authenticity and hooks ready to hang!

This painting is a bunch of tall poppies, from the saying “tall poppy syndrome” where, commonly in Australia (I hear) the most talented and high achievers are somewhat shamed for expressing or not denying their skill, so they cut the tall poppies down to size. I started making it thinking that with all the social media giving false promises of fame everyone seems to be a “tall poppy” without showing the skill or talent that could make them special (from what I see in gen Z). This is a painting of a package floating over a hole in the ground, in the desert. I created this small painting to represent hopes and fears, when people have a physical package unexpectedly arrive at their home, people tend to be excited and expect good things. I watch videos on geography sometimes and came across one in detail on the international date line... Long story short, I start questioning the theory of time and the international date line. Without this line that's entirely made up then our rules for time don't work, to me it seems purely for convinience and the idea of time needs some more thinking over. While creating this artwork I’d been riding for a few years, a motorbike, to me, isn’t just transport, it’s like being seven-teen and going for a bicycle ride. You have a car but this is for fun. I also had some friends who sold their bikes to exchange the money for things like holidays, which I couldn’t understand. So I aimed to paint my bike as a heart, the ugly kind of organ shaped heart and I carried on the paint pouring from my previous successful artworks. That was partially concept and something I’d wanted to do and partially mediocre advice from the people around me who aren’t artists and say “Paint another just like it!” To my paint pouring concept. Now I see the complications of racism where it’s a tribal instinct to involve or exclude people in order for some sort of self preservation, there’s also the fact that cultures who grow together do things differently that we’re used to. So, at the time when I saw it just as not liking how someone looks I decided to paint this where one person has two opposing features on their face. I think by this point in time we’ve come across someone who’s big on over-correcting and being over-cautious to the point where all they do is sit still and watch mainstream media then spiral into the panic that they’ve set up for the week.  Life really isn’t anywhere near as dangerous as people expect, it’s pretty mediocre. I recently had to purchase $20 million insurance to sell my colouring books at the local park, then so did everyone else which added up to $840 million cover. That’s overkill. I Brought this up with a few people and some saw how ridiculous it was, others began thinking about the worst case scenario and expected it to play out, they wanted me to believe that were a possibility. As if Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos is hanging around the park and they die, at my expense. This is their safety zone, don’t exit the safety zone, you will die. Don’t live your life, you will die. This is a painting that I created in order to challenge myself to use a smaller canvas, I'm not an artist who uses small centrepieces (or none) so this certainly proved to be a challenge. I also used leftover canvas from my last roll which is more coarse which doesn't let me work on detail as smoothly as I'd like so when I finished the artwork I feel like it turned out pretty well considering the situation I put myself in! I painted a bird and wanted to carry on the style from a painting a few paintings ago 'Midnight Snack' with solid waves and tiny bubbles/ balloons. This time I couldn't decide whether the bird would be swimming, flying or dreaming. I figure you're doing it all in a dream anyway so it's doing it all in a dreamlike artwork. This is my second last lockdown painting, at this point I'm experimenting with creating artworks from different angles. I started painting this painting with the intention of making sales in the desert forming from the ground (similar to my 'I Love My Leather Gloves' painting), then quickly changed my mind to create a church with a high roof and a never ending room filled with flowers. It reminds me of my grandma, she's super religious and often preaching, I imagine going to church would feel like this for her, a room full of flowers and daylight – hope. This artwork reflects the ‘Me Too’ movement, which in hindsight took a plot twist and now see the artwork in a different light. At the time I painted an invisible man, likely with the idea that men can get away with being mysognynistic and having little blow back. Now the tables have turned, the men who see serious consequences of saying hi to a woman then being publicly labelled as a creep online have backed off entirely and the ones who didn’t care, continue not to. Leaving men unseen, the dating culture has paused and in general being a gentlemen carries risks. I recently saw a TikTok video of what people considered a really shit wedding portrait. This is news to me that artists are hired for an extraordinary amount to paint live! I thought I’d kick ass at this and want to get in on it so I began busking to practice in front of people. If you watch the time-lapse on my time-lapse YouTube you’ll see I do the first two hours live, there’s a two hour limit on site. Since this is practice I’m just selling it cheap. It’s the second of the five and sold on site! Acrylic on cardboard and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

This artwork is one of many remakes of my artwork, ‘Unexpected’, 2020. I’ve been recreating the artwork for an art battle where artists compete to create an artwork in twenty minutes. For this particular one I decided to go busking however there was a one hour time limit so I decided to paint this one and one other. I hadn’t given myself a refresher of what the original artwork looked like before going busking and I ended up missing the ocean parts of the pear. You can see the live recording on one of my YouTube channels. This artwork took 30 minutes and a few touchups, unfortunately no tips and no one bid to buy it. This artwork isn’t like my other ones in the sense that It’s a “canvas” print that I painted over created with acrylic and it’s stretched onto MDF. Speaker Painting

After purchasing a speaker it looked like a canvas so I popped a painting on it, I like to use pink in my music paintings because pink is the colour of a high pitched sound for me, the flamingo dances it's way through the speaker and turns up the sound while the knob drips down some music to create a glass pear. The flamingo then reappears at the front to what I like to think of the spots as the next song. The material is much thicker than canvas and more difficult to paint on so I currently have no plans to do that again. The priming involved some gesso (as it should!) so the sound turned out muffled so I've taken it off as it's own artwork and repurposed an old frame. Note that I'm not a professional frame maker... Sold with s certificate of authenticity and hooks ready to hang.
