The Essence of Freedom Oil Painting

I started off painting this painting with the intention of making a raised platform with a boat floating on top.. Didn’t happen. Sometimes the paintings I make just make themselves and are entirely unplanned, this one ended up with vines and by that time I’d decided I wanted flowers at the end of the vines to be birds.

The way I see it is the vines are your roots and when the flower blossoms and drained everything it can from the roots then the birds fly away.

This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones and always sold with hooks ready to hang!
