I decided to paint this artwork after I discovered creamed honey. I have bees that visit my place everyday for honey and I opted in for creamed so I wouldn't have to fight with a bee to eat my pancakes. The bee's didn't recognise the creamed version and that solved my problem which had me wondering if food were a different consistency would we still enjoy it as much? I painted a pizza as soup and wine as jelly. I feel like I still have room for improvement in executing the realness of the artwork although this is where I'm at right now. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

I'm against doing commissions however this one seemed a tad unique and I took it on, the end result doesn't look like this and I won't be showing the final result. That is exclusive to the owner and I'm very proud of the first version. The original request of this artwork were to re-create a small painting I'd made, 'Solid Choice', only larger. I changed this artwork up accordingly, this time keeping the sheet flat and having water holding it up. I included the spotty birds which feature in my artwork, 'Flock Party' to represent a rainbow which refers to a jargon term from an event in the owners life. I included a pear as my stamp on the artwork and Virgo the constellation as the man in the painting has an Irish/ Russian background which both share a Virgo rising sign. Since I've been looking at Bosch artworks lately I'm interested in adding detail in the artworks. There is morse code in this one.

This oil painting came to mind while finishing off the previous artwork where I painted in some tape. I then decided to paint an object with multiple clear items on top. This then turned into painting make-up brushes and making a thought piece on makeup. Are we using makeup to become the standard, or in some cases the choice of makeup could show exactly what they're trying to hide. This artwork is out of my element, using less contrast as I normally would and pastel colours while also challenging myself to paint transparency over transparency. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

This is a painting of my interpretation of my experience eating out at French, specifically the desert, a pear, swimming in red sauce. If you watch the time-lapse you'll see I went through a phase with this painting to create visible texture and cow-hide print. I decided to steer away from that since they didn't reflect the pear I ate. I painted the stalk as a tap dropping raspberries to fall into the sauce since it all flowed so well in terms of flavour. However I then painted the tiny pears dripping down a leaf which can also be interpreted upside-down and painted aspects of the painting taped to the wall behind yet not having the shadows match. I chose to throw in these confusing representations as I felt heaps uneasy when ordering the food all night in general. It seemed as if they were saying “yes” to my dietary requirements but not going to follow through, so I felt uneasy the entire meal wondering if I'd been poisoned. I included the tape because from the chefs point of view it probably felt like a Frankenstein version of the original meal. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

This is an artwork which I tried challenging myself to paint and finish in a week along with 10 others. I didn't have the rest of my life organised enough to achieve the goal so half of this was done in that week and the rest later. The idea for this artwork shaped itself as the originally intended to be a purple spotty horse like my other surreal animals although when I came back to it I didn't feel it had enough substance to it. When I finished the painting I had my pen pal on the phone and asked him what he saw an he mentioned the background, so I ran with that idea that someone may look at this then focus on the background. Since I have holes in things all the time in my digital artworks I carried that over here and decided they're bullet holes. The painting started to form the media style opinion of after the races which made me feel it needed an audience so I painted the statues in the background representing the polarising opinions people have on the races and the consequences after. The horse intentionally has no reflection or shadow. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

A while ago I decided to paint a personified history of Bulgaria, the man on the left is Krum, the Bulgarian who lead Bulgaria to take over most of Eastern Europe and the man on the right is the fall of Bulgaria representing the loss of land into nothing. Krum famously severed the head of his opponent and turned his skull into a cup. I painted the cup in gold (gold is better) and had the man watching the cup as he's being attacked as if he's more worried about the legacy and not his life. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

In the past I've made a painting of flowers which grow into birds. While glancing past a painting hanging in my livingroom, 'Fruit juice' I decided to merge the two and create a tree with flowers which grow into birds. Between the time I started and finished the painting I went for a run and thought I saw a street covered in petals (since it's early spring) and realised I were actually looking at feathers, most likely from a fight to the death and decided to paint the birds fighting. Since the road to peace isn't a calm one. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

I originally decided to paint a woman looking out the window with furniture floating around and as I created the artwork I decided that the room should be relatively empty and have a scene of presence at the same time which brought me to paint the chair in front of the window with a woman sitting in it as the shadow. I didn't feel like painting the corner of the room in the corner so I centred it adding to the centre focus. I did put thought into the floor although as the painting wrapped up it didn't turn out as I would have ideally made the pattern. I also chose to whip out a Magritte and paint the chair with the image of the sky on it. This artwork is one of my hand-stretched ones, always sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity.

This year I'm more against consumerism than usual, my new years resolution is to save as many items from council cleanup as bags of rubbish I throw out. Since then I've realised that most of my trash is actually re-usable in some form (compost, local scrap metal, recycling centre). Which then translated to preferring second hand items and watching how people shop as a hobby. I painted the taps to represent the unlimited amount of items someone can buy and decided to create the first tap a human statue tap but painted the man upset and bombarded by the other taps. The buyer is the product. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

While painting a previous painting Michael Jackson came on the radio and with the general “politically correct” vibe of western societies right now an idea came to mind to paint a spiky lake that would feel very uncomfortable to swim in. I don't believe it's politically correct to go around correcting people who've been brought up in a way that their language isn't used in an offensive manner. I painted the lake as it is because it feels like people are silenced very quickly, the swim is too spiky. I also painted the fence around it because there's no standing up for yourself with these people and I attached moons to the fence because in astrology the moon represents emotions. Since being politically correct is a great outlet to project your own grievances on others. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

I started painting this with an entirely different idea in mind although by the time I painted it, it turned into something else. There's definitely people seeing that I'm making art but not actually seeing how much work I do to get there so they're the birds. They're not watching and they're taking note. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

A while back I painted an illusion so the viewer sees a vase instead of an actual vase, the artwork was purely curiosity and learning about illusions. The artwork was then later featured in a category “Vases” and they portrayed it as a décor piece. I'm against art for décor purposes so being promoted as decor bothers me. Fast forward I'd been looking at another vase painting although didn't realise I were looking at vases and thought they were oranges as vases, I decided to take that misunderstanding and create an artwork out of it. Here's my vases for décor purposes, although since I have the motivation of my illusion painting behind this then it isn't décor anymore, it's a statement. Prior to this artwork I accidentally attracted one bee that visited on the daily, that bee then brought it's friend and word spread and now I have a crew that spends their days on my balcony. I've heard around that bees are becoming extinct so I looked into it (wanting to feed them what they should be eating) and learnt that honey bee's aren't facing extinction at all and they're not that great at pollinating. Other bee species are great pollinators, don't make honey and can come in cool colours... I've been saving the wrong species. Here we are trying to spread awareness about bee extinction but when most people hear “bee” they think honey bee, most people don't know other bee species exist, and if we don't believe they even exist then what's the difference to us when they're extinct? That venture lead to this painting, in terms of skill I really struggled since it's so far from my style. The blue Mason Bee fights the Honey Bee for it's place in the world. I decided to paint it's wings as bubbles since this bee is fantasy to most people anyway. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

This is a painting I started painting with an idea sparked from a painting I recently created, ‘Flock Party’, while painting this one I decided that the spots on the bird will be hidden by squares on the bag it's stuck in. I originally had the idea to paint a somewhat sequel to 'Corporate' with a plain bag and then decided to slightly pivot. I often keep my opinions to myself (during the moment) when I notice someones humouring me or so blinded by prejudice and told I can't do something, so I painted the bird as pink spots and the viewer, not you the viewer, but the viewer within the painting decides that the pink spots don't align with their prejudice and they decide to see yellow squares. So this bird is trapped in a bag of yellow squares. I think that people use prejudice as a form of comfort, despite hindering others. Your pink spots don't align with their narrative so now you have to get out of the bag before continuing your flight. I began this painting when I challenged myself to create 11 paintings in one week. This one would have been a challenge on it's own since paintings with faces always take longer, I didn't finish it in that week. I originally had the idea to paint just a crowd looking toward the front of the painting, somewhat confronting then decided to include buildings and ended up with just a few faces (Caravaggio faces, since I had to pick a face) on mounds looking at the viewer. I named it 'Goals Staring Back at Me' as if I've let go of a few of them temporarily and they're waiting, staring back at me. I decided to paint a self portrait since I happen to be whipping them out every few years, this time I didn't paint it as a mid-shot front on artwork but a reflection of how I've spent my 20's. Painting until I drop at the easel. Painting the look of gold (without using gold) is a challenge I've been working on lately and my home is gold themed so I tackled that in this painting as well, turning the furniture gold. I still don't think I've figured it out so I guess it's also a reflection of how much progress I'd made with gold by this age. I recently had to update my website and all my digital artworks into metal prints which meant hours of looking at my artworks then when moving onto another activity it felt like I'd left another world so I painted the feeling. The wall print is a background of a self portrait I created many years ago and I have a theme of pears so I kept them in, I also low-key painted the door missing. I watch videos on geography sometimes and came across one in detail on the international date line... Long story short, I start questioning the theory of time and the international date line. Without this line that's entirely made up then our rules for time don't work, to me it seems purely for convinience and the idea of time needs some more thinking over. I decided to paint how I felt about this idea of time, my head twisting between lands and trying to bridge the gaps that don't match up for me. This is another painting form the eleven that I worked on in one week and I began with the idea of a guitar growing plants, I liked this idea since plants grow better when surrounded by music and the impact of music on it's surrounding in general. The painting also has the bow saluting back to the cello, and I couldn't decide whether the blue shape is a window or a reflection of a window from outside of the left of the painting, there's a light source from both. While painting the painting I asked Insta what they thought the painting would turn out to be and my pen pal replied with a cello. After looking up the difference I decided that cello's are more interesting to paint and should probably go with it. This painting has sparked another idea for a future painting. This is a painting I painted during my week of painting eleven paintings and decided I needed to paint a giraffe that blends in with the sky and stands on bubbles, somewhat uncertain mimicking the way people tend to be much more flakey these days. When plans are “definitely” on, it's this type of definitely, like a giraffe standing on bubbles as a solid ground type of definitely. If you watch the screen recording of it being made or my reel on instagram you'll see I changed my mind a bit about the shape of the giraffe and whether it's head will be in the painting. This year my new years resolution is to save as many things from council cleanup as I throw out, to make my waste for the year zero (excluding recycling of any type). This then lead to me cleaning out my home of anything I'm saving for “one day”, it seems like so many people fill their homes with things they save for “I'll need it one day”. I could fill my car over many times with the amount of things I've been saving for “one day”. During my week of painting eleven paintings I decided that this were a topic I wanted to paint about. So I painted household items under a sheet, hidden away, over an oddly uneven ground, the landfill. Commenting on consumerism. This is a painting I created with a similar idea in mind to a digital artwork I created after the Christchurch shooting where the countries blood stain a top. I'd included all the countries in the digital artwork although this time wanted to emphasise the diversity of the countries. I'm often watching geography and history videos and a student recently asked me if the war with Ukraine would start WWIII. Without knowing the history of all the wars of the world it would seem that way but when you look up the history of each country there's usually a war included. So I painted it as if this is the load of washing you've done and you've hung it out to dry, to stay that way. I also tried to include an aspect I included in an older painting, 'The Essence of Freedom' where the flowers represents birds enjoying freedom. This time the wing is also hung out to dry. This painting is one of the eleven/twelve that I tried painting in a week, most of them made the deadline and this is the first one I'm showing off from that adventure. Since I have no grasp on time this is another painting I used to express my feelings on time. On my list I originally planned to paint the painting with the clock hands outward like a books pages flipping through the wind, instead as I created it I decided to have them floating throughout the artwork, each hand is a person since we all interpret time at a difference pace (literally, that's a fact) some of the handles are bogged down by sheets of water that I like to paint. I's started painting an egg although when I came back to the painting after my other eleven I couldn't remember why so I ended up turning it into a silhouette of me from the back. It's a coincidence that XII sits above that (my birthday date). I chose to paint the numbers as birds since birds are also hard to get a grip on. Soaring, Swimming and Sleeping

This is a painting that I created in order to challenge myself to use a smaller canvas, I'm not an artist who uses small centrepieces (or none) so this certainly proved to be a challenge. I also used leftover canvas from my last roll which is more coarse which doesn't let me work on detail as smoothly as I'd like so when I finished the artwork I feel like it turned out pretty well considering the situation I put myself in! I painted a bird and wanted to carry on the style from a painting a few paintings ago 'Midnight Snack' with solid waves and tiny bubbles/ balloons. This time I couldn't decide whether the bird would be swimming, flying or dreaming. I figure you're doing it all in a dream anyway so it's doing it all in a dreamlike artwork. This is a painting I created with the idea to paint the feeling of waiting for the rain to end. I also wanted to create something well executed like a painting I'd made a couple weeks earlier 'Midnight Snack'. By the end of the painting I'd started reading a book on Magritte and found his work a tad sloppy so I felt compelled to work harder on making sure the painting had been polished off. Pears (and cactuses) feature as metaphors for people in my paintings and these pairs wait under a sheet of water acting as a jail by the growing stems and birds emerge from the water since they just live in the water when it rains. I created this painting with the idea in mind that I'll paint a very tall giraffe although aimed to avoid using pink, after painting the giraffe in green it looked like a dinosaur so I had to re-evaluate and landed on pink anyway. Since the giraffe ended up in the outfit it did, the painting ended up becoming much more festive than I expected. I also painted birds to turn into banana's as they fly around the giraffe although feel like that may have been a subconscious link to the birds in Donkey Kong Country 3, a game I played a lot when I was younger. They certainly seemed familiar for some reason! The road mimics an idea I had for a digital artwork created a few years back (roughly 2020) where I took the road lines and turned them into lasers, like this painting. This time I decided that the entire scene needs to be filled with activities so I submerged the road underwater and turned the giraffes head into a sinking balloon. I painted the balloon clear to mimic a state of mind when going for a stroll on a lovely sunny day. Careless, despite any obstacles on the main road of your day. Since I'm painting one painting a week and death week threw me off a bit I smashed this painting out in three days, the idea of this painting was to focus on skill. After painting 'Fruits of my Labour' I painted 'Snacking and Daydreaming' to replicate the pear from the first one. The second painting also went well so I used the elephants from 'Snacking and Daydreaming' in 'Wall of Bubbles and Floppy Elephants' which turned out entirely different (well, they all look entirely different). So when painting this painting I decided to think about the first painting and take the dark sky and the fruits from the second painting. I've also taken elements from other paintings and challenged myself to paint a clear sheet of water. Overall, very happy with how it turned out and consider it a sequel to 'Snacking and Daydreaming' because it reminds me of a midnight snack. I had this painting in mind for a while, sometimes when drivingg at night and there's only one other car out I wonder what they're up to or what they do for a living to get that car, or is it on loan? Thing is, I'll never know and it's not my business, the same way if someones looking at my vehicle wondering the same... not your business. I painted the idea as a road surrounded in tall trees although everything is covered in leopard print spots and the car drives on the tree walls, also covered in spots as if it's blending in – no questions to be asked, there's no car. I'd been looking for plant pots and came across a listing where the owner had a cat statue and next to it a zebra statue, the zebra had been cut off in the photo so for a moment I thought I'd been looking at a cat with zebra stripes. So I painted a cat with zebra stripes. I wanted to include aspects from a recent paintings 'Self Portrait as Caravaggio as Bacchus' as I enjoyed painting the leaf that folds with the table, this time I painted it with an excessive amount of leaves and as if the cat is a zebra as Bacchus. This time with more aspects that I'd call Bacchus... If this cat's going to be a god of wine then it should be in total control of the vines. So the vines float up around the cat-zebra. I'm also a fan of animals not being perfect in my paintings so I painted this one with an amputated leg, replaced with a wheel. I started off this painting with a very different idea in mind although as I worked on it another painting sold and I decided to include a similar elephant from that one and then it took a turn to look much more like my digital artworks. I struggled a bit with the technicalities of this paintings base layer texture. Originally I wanted the bubbles to act as an invisible barrier, although the concept is up to the viewer. Self Portrait as Caravaggio as Bacchus
46 x 3cm
x 60.5cm
I've been learning about Caravaggio and the first painting I saw in a book was 'Self Portrait as Bacchus'... So I Googled Bacchus, he's the God of Wine. I found it pretty funny that Caravaggio painted himself as the God of Wine although every documentary I saw or read hadn't found the humour in it, some even looked at it as showing off sickness (peoples skin turns yellow when you drink too much, perhaps he were proud?) in terms of help. I decided to paint myself being Caravaggio while he's being Bacchus. It's slightly rushed although as I look at it longer I start to see where I could have improved, specifically in the face shape and shading in general. I chose to make the painting different aside from the general pose, some things in particular are the hair.. Since I'm painting myself being Caravaggio being Bacchus, I decide that the God of Wine's hair ends with a grape or leaf. I changed the vibrancy and colours of the grapes, placements of the peaches and shape of the vines. Copying isn't art so I couldn't see the point in copying a precise replica of the rest of the painting. This artwork is hand-stretched, hooks will be attached on sale and sold with a certificate of authenticity.

I've been learning about artists in history and recently that's included Caravaggio, the first portrait I read about of his was 'Self Portrait as Bacchus'. I found it pretty funny that he painted himself as the god of wine so casually and with such skill. Along with other documented events like ripping into Baglione and trying to make it back to Rome after raising his status, it seems like Caravaggio really too the piss at some things although when I learnt about his all people would mention about his character were that Caravaggio was “tortured”. It's safe to say that people have more than one emotion so I decided to paint Caravaggio as a clown – no one lives their lives being in a tortured mood 24/7. I couldn't really pinpoint aspects of his face because I worked off two portraits that honestly look different and differ in age, although the face is only 2-3cm big so that's alright. I painted the chair to not make sense on purpose and the light source is a canvas, the positive part in life he can rely on. I painted his left arm as a long red fabric because he includes those in many of his artworks and also metaphorical for blood on his hands. I painted the door open, as if we're looking into his life and one shoe because from what I've read he's pretty gross. Overall I'd rushed this painting a bit as ironically I'd made a killer week of artwork sales and organising them intervened with painting this one. I'm firm on finishing them when I decide they'll be finished, this is a reflection of my skill and environment at the time. This is a painting I decided to paint out of frustration for the weird situation some men put women in! When in a professional setting and a man spends the conversation staring at your boobs there isn't much you can do without severing the deal or putting yourself in a situation where people label you a “bitch”. I've learnt that if I just stand about 4m away then I can't see if they're looking at my boobs or not... This is off-putting behaviour at best and I put it in the category of spitting and peeing in public – not due to gender but behaviour, a clear choice. I tried to make the woman myself although she turned out quite boney so I missed the mark a tad. The men around are random and dressed in PJ's, because they're dreaming. The man closest to the viewer looks at the viewer as if to wait in anticipation for his turn. I painted the landscape as a collection of boobs, boobs are everywhere and that's a fact. Another man in the painting can't deal and buries is head in the ground. I dressed the woman as if she woke up and dressed her self in a presentable manner, I always dress well - even when there's no where to be - although have accidentally lead people to think I'm dressing well for them... When I visit Bulgaria it's clear that they also dress well more often than Aussies so I'd put that to my heritage. I painted a fold in the dress shaped as lips as if it's a secret signal which isn't actually there. I originally imagined this painting without spots and having the birds on a rope carrying off into the distance, out of vision, instead I decided that it would be better painted with the birds on many angles. When I see a flock of birds they always seem like they're having a party, from human standards... when people get together in packs and mingle/ eat it's usually a party so I painted the birds as I see them, festive af. I began painting feet on them and decided against it last minute, as a surrealist the birds don't need to have feet so I made the feet ropes to balloons. This is hand stretched and will be sold with hooks ready to hang!

This painting is a sequel to my painting 'Priorities' which is a pineapple pyramid (sold). The original idea came from the Pharaohs pyramids crossed with witnessing how people around me would spend money on unhealthy items for instant gratification then sulk about the repercussions.. rinse and repeat. So instead of making a painting of a pyramid symbolising the possessions and status I painted a cubist fruit to represent investing in your heath as opposed to things that don't actually contribute to your life in a positive way. In this painting I painted strawberry print for the first time and also included flamingos with peacock tails (the ultimate show-off bird), The strawberries leaves become wings or vice versa and this painting is one where I experimented with depth by blurring the background. This is one of my hand-stretched ones, has a certificate of authenticity and always sold with hooks ready to hang!

This is a painting that I began painting with the idea to create a cactus print on a pear and a cow hide print on a cactus, these ideas came to mind from past paintings such as 'Fruits of My Labour' and 'Trauma'. I began with that idea as I've just started a new, more fine roll of canvas and a perfect opportunity to work on more details! By the time I'd worked through the painting I ended up using colours I'm not a fan of (the red hue orange) and ended up going with it by adding a sheer plastic. I use the cactus and cowhide pears in my paintings to represent yourself, this time with lollipops in it representing my projects reminiscent of the representation of Mercury (reddish-orange) and the plastic is the retrograde. If you're into astrology then you'd know that Mercury retrograde puts a halt on things so this is how I wanted to represent that. Sold with hooks ready to hang, hand stretched and a certificate of authenticity!

After purchasing a speaker it looked like a canvas so I popped a painting on it, I like to use pink in my music paintings because pink is the colour of a high pitched sound for me, the flamingo dances it's way through the speaker and turns up the sound while the knob drips down some music to create a glass pear. The flamingo then reappears at the front to what I like to think of the spots as the next song. The material is much thicker than canvas and more difficult to paint on so I currently have no plans to do that again. The priming involved some gesso (as it should!) so the sound turned out muffled so I've taken it off as it's own artwork and repurposed an old frame. Note that I'm not a professional frame maker... I began painting this painting with the idea that I'd paint a table of terrible food, burnt and undercooked food. Although as I made the background I'd realised that I can't have the foreground detailed as well as the background so the painting ended up taking a path parallel to most of my cooking ventures; I start off with an idea and then it derails. I'm quite happy with how the painting ended up (unlike my meals) and decided the front is a vague result, coining the term (yep I'm coining it) geometric surrealism. The painting’s original idea came from a weird situation I find myself in. I'm lactose and gluten intolerant and sugar doesn't sit well so people like to take shortcuts when inviting me for food and end up poisoning me (testing my diet, specifically people skeptical of gluten intolerance) so I'm left with the only alternative to invite them over for bad food instead. Recently I started reading books (instead of articles), I figured the amount of effort it takes to whip up an article has become almost benign and isn't as factual as they used to be so I read some books. The first one was a motivational book (so I'd be motivated to read more books) and not long after I found myself trying to read all the books instantly, I needed to finish them all. So I decided to create a painting about that. The woman in this painting wears an old style dress (because books are an old resource) and is covered by books, floating in a room. I painted the roof a leopard print drooping down and the floor large leaves or grass. Each of the roof and floor interact with the woman as if they're books and she's absorbing the knowledge. The woman is shown to shoot out clouds out the window which, for me, is what she gives back. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

I began this painting with an entirely different idea in mind, originally having the cow-pear in a therapy chair facing a picture that resembles a window with a tree branching in and the walls divided into indoors and outdoors. Instead I didn't vibe with the painting and decided to get creative with it. In the mornings I have breakfast on my balcony surrounded by trees and look up into the blue sky. So I decided to paint that. The fruit stuck on the wall is my breakfast, as if the cow-pear keeps it there, pulling one down to snack on it and it looks out into the blue where there are imaginary animals. I decided to paint the coloured elephants and giraffes from my digital artworks. At first I wanted to paint the elephant with the same long curly legs as the giraffe although I face an obstacle where people liken my artworks to Dali's so I needed to avoid elephants with long legs. Instead I stretched it's ears into and behind the water. I hid the giraffes face and originally intended to hide the elephants face (although it began to look creepy) with the idea that they share a head. The tape is different on each fruit because I wanted to reference the real life issue where tape always seems to be running out! I also decided it was important to brand the items in the paintings with barcode stickers of my own. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!

I can't say I'm a fan of nostalgia and especially not a fan of people who reach out from a place of nostalgia, it makes me uncomfortable. One main reason for experiencing nostalgia is the brains coping mechanism, if you're feeling down, the brain will likely bring up nostalgic memories to cope. So I feel like it's a big red flag when people pop up out of no where, I'm not sure about other people although it happens about every 3 months for me so I made a painting about being on the receiving end. The left side of the painting is me and a very realistic colour scheme, I have a home with some pretty cool curtains and a few cow hides so I made a funkier version. Teal is also my favourite colour. I painted the cut cord of a phone one my end of the painting and a skeleton reaching out holding a phone on the other side. Bubbles floating in the air because I feel like bubbles are enjoyable to have around and I'm having a good time. On the right side of the painting there are some coloured skeletons, if you watch the recording of the painting you'll see I played around with grey skeletons covered in flowers and decided against it. Coloured, somewhat like plastic dolls. I decided to paint the lighting on this side as if you're looking through a rainbow, party lighting. These people tend to enter my life with no warning and barging in disturbing whatever I have going on as if they're a fun gift for me, only to realise I'm a mask for whatever issues they have going on ready to suck me in. The skeletons are holding onto each-other because it feels like once you let one in, a million others follow. Depending on how you look at the pink skeleton in the centre, it's either looking directly at you or at the ground. Sold with hooks ready to hang, hand stretched and a certificate of authenticity!

This painting is the start of a new way of painting for me. During lockdown I set myself to complete a lockdown challenge which ended up in overusing my right hand and I ended up continuing the challenge with my left hand in the colouring in books. That had a domino effect. Many weeks later half way through painting this painting it felt weird not using my left hand as well, so now I paint with two hands. The painting originally set out to be just the teacup, although at the time I felt like I could do better, setting up scenes instead of having an object in focus. So I brought in the birds and by the time I'd finished painting them it gave me the vibe they're flocking around a water cooler sharing stories. The spots represent the story and I aimed to give each bird a different persona. Sold with hooks ready to hang, hand stretched and a certificate of authenticity!

This is my third attempt at painting gold using flat oil paints. For my first two attempts I'd been trying to mimic a print from a digital artwork I created although this time round I took note that that isn't working for me and decided to take a photo of my cutlery and work off that. This time I noticed that I should be using shades of beige and small amounts of white and black, and not to put yellow on it. Yellow is too saturated. I decided that as a surrealist (you can see this in the video) that I stopped painting a normal step looking platform I decided to mmake it curved to show off the malleable-ness of the cutlery This is the artwork I ended up with, I feel like it's a big step forward from my last two attempts although hoping to nail it in the future. This is a reflection of my skill level at this age. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!.

I created this artwork with an idea in mind to continue on from another artwork I'd painted, yet from a different angle (as you can see in the video) then decided to ditch that idea and paint a ledge, similar to my other flat earth paintings except with the idea in mind to merge the water and land into a watery land. Some may see it as a close up on the edge of a table cloth instead. The artwork is empty and lacks lively presence on purpose, my goal for the painting was to make it feel alone, as if if you were there you would be in a very quiet serene environment. This is my second last lockdown painting, at this point I'm experimenting with creating artworks from different angles. I started painting this painting with the intention of making sales in the desert forming from the ground (similar to my 'I Love My Leather Gloves' painting), then quickly changed my mind to create a church with a high roof and a never ending room filled with flowers. It reminds me of my grandma, she's super religious and often preaching, I imagine going to church would feel like this for her, a room full of flowers and daylight – hope. This is a painting very different to my others, I made it during my lockdown challenge and it became super clear I'd been repeating the same setting in each different painting so I decided that since I'm making different types of paintings I should create a very 2D style one as well. At the time I'd just started learning about illusions and this includes one where geometric shapes sit at a particular spot to create the illusion that there's another image. Here people are convinced there's a vase, yet there's no actual vase being painted. I also threw in my surrealist flare and painted the flowers different colours to their natural colour, similar to my fruit bowl painting. I needed to have a painting of a vase of flowers in my portfolio. Oil based, sold with hooks ready to hang and a certificate of authenticity!
